The obvious motive to box people in, is to help the leaders strategise campaigns and placate the populace so that they resent and try to change each other rather than resent and try to change the system itself. This is merely how it's become a well-esablished thing though, we were already splitting ourselves up long ago (otherwise we'd be a one-world nation or a one-city reality even).
What would you say that you identify with in the label 'moderate liberal' and what do you find is wrong with the term 'liberal' as well as 'moderate'?

How do you know that others think at all?
I am genuinely asking you, as this will link very strongly back into your conclusion that there is no God or souls.

M-theory adds on 2 dimensions, not just 1. What it says is that there is the 11th where things randomly alter themselves and interchange energy with matter and such. In the 12th is complete and utter interchangeability between absense of things and presence of things, in this dimension things come out of nothing quite literally and turn back into nothing too.
I don't recall which religion believes you are reincarnated until you desire nothing and simply disappear, something like that anyway.
Both Taoism and Buddhism think this. Buddhism says that's a good thing, Taoism says it just happens to be the case.
Hinduism suggests that eventually if good enough of a person in each life, you eventually stop getting reincarnated and allowed to rest (thus desiring nothing more) but it doesn't directly say there's an ending.
Are you saying that our suffering and all bad things in this reality are part of a greater experiment? I'm not entirely sure how to interpret the ending of what you said.

Imagine yourself existing entirely alone, no momma, no daddy, no brother, sister, friends, kids and no good guys vs bad guys....just one Being with no other sources. What then would morality mean to you? who could you articulate that to or express good and bad to?
I am quite sure that this would imply to me that God at first was evil and truly merciless but over time gained a love for his/her/its creation and I deeply empathise with God's loneliness and boredom.

Assuming that you're not on a journey, that there is no destination and that there is absolutely no path along which we reach the truth or bliss of god, what is it that makes you feel this is true:
It is a way of life (in addition to a religion) but no, it is no choice. It is an identity incumbent upon me by birth. Though there are Jews by choice, I am one by birth so I am who I am.
Do you not think that's actually unhealthy? The fact you are referring to is that parents blackmail their children into a faith based on what they see as an inescapable part of their ethnicity which should actually be a 100% consent-based decision by the person to adhere to or not. In my eyes that's immoral and a very toxic result of overattaching religion to one's own identity.

If we combine your answers of you believing you exist as you know you think and you also firmly believing that without irrefutable proof, we should never believe in something, we'd conclude that no one except you exists, yes?

To my knowledge, string theory doesn't demand multiple realities, instead it has onion-like layers of reality. It also doesn't deny multiple realities, it just doesn't demand it.
Interestingly, M-Theory seeks to stop string theory denying a singular reality by having an 11th 'true creator' dimension and even a 12th dimension which is where pure randomness occurs and where 'something' and 'nothing' can at times be equal and explains perhaps how reality can enable there to be anything despite originally there being an absence of all that there is now.
Anyway, let me ask you more about your multiple reality theory. If we have multiple, parallel universes so to speak, do you ever feel unfairly lucky that you're the version of DPR that isn't in deep poverty, agony etc? Do you ever envy the DPR versions who are doing better in life than you are? Do you feel that if we are just running one of many realities, that moral decisions matter less as no matter how good or evil we are, the evil is happening anyway in one of the other ones?

The prosecution of this case is doing their best. I completely agree with them going for a sentence based on 2nd degree murder here, as that's exactly what it was. In fact, depending on many factors it even could be first degree, we don't know how far ahead this very specific encounter was planned or the history between the guys. Details are no doubt going to emerge and I am not going to hop onto any bandwagon saying that this is just systemic racism (nor that it's not). The cop who did this could indeed be a severe racist, regardless of that he's a violent individual and seems to have had a history of violence as a bouncer, based on some articles and rumours.

1. Do you agree or disagree with the following clause in the new COC:
Removal of the harassing the moderators is ok rule (don’t worry, we’ll still have thick skin).
How thick? Just saying, it's a bit vague. I agree with it though and I think Bsh1 almost masochistic in how willing he was to be insulted and thought ill of, whose career ended here due to that very trait.
2. Are you for or against mods being allowed to vote in future MEEPs? Note that there are multiple options for this question:
- "No" indicates opposition to this refinement.
This website has basically got only around 15 active members, 3 of them are moderators with the fourth moderator (Christopher_Best) being inactive but semi-silently moderating votes. Their proportion of importance to the community is severe, you can't just remove them from a vote, especially when we have REF, Thett3 and TheHammer always voting together in each of these things now.
3. Are you for or against votes being reported on (and possibly removed) after the voting period is finished?
I assume that you mean debates here, which is a case of everyone agreeing that this should be done but the website's coding of Rating, not allowing this to happen without corrupting that part of the coding.
4. Are you for or against the implementation of a DDO-esque polling section in DART?
Against, out of practical purposes. The admin has enough on his plate both with time, effort and resources. This will only result in more bugs and load on the server.
5. Are you for or against the implementation of some non-intrusive advertisements on DART?
For, but I'm not stupid and know that this will barely get any cash. People use adblockers and don't really click on ads anymore.

Please explain the essence of Matthew 5-7, am I correct in it being primarily about humility?
Created:
Welcome to EPT, let's get to it!
The past 2 shows have been people who do not identify with labels, this time we have a proud conservative, who goes further to identify as a Sermonist.
prime societal aim: To abide by the Sermon on the Mount [Matthew 5 - 7 of the Holy Bible, inclusive]. To me, this passage is not only good religious philosophy, it happens to be the premier political platform in existence.
Most of the passages mentioned have a lot to do with not 'showing off' how much suffering one is undergoing in their devotion to Jesus and the Lord God, at least in my reading it seems that way. This implies to me that Fauxlaw's outlook has a lot to do with humility and each person doing their duty and not complaining about it.

I do not accept, nor deny, the existence of any particular deity.
It is interesting that you say this, since this alienates you from hardline antitheists too.
What would you say about people who are very devout in their faith and takes on reality? Should we avoid being too sure of anything or is it specifically about God that we should avoid being sure?
Leading on from that, what are you sure about with regards to reality?

Would you care to explain to us why you identify without labels and what you think labels do to society and politics?

Welcome to EPT, the place where we explore the spectrum of one's political outlook, not just the place on the assumed spectrum that we'd place one!

So am I correct in saying that you regard Judaism as a way of life, a choice more than a duty?
I ask as you identified as Orthodox, implying severe devotion to the cause and I presumed you to hold Judaism as an ultimate truth of sorts.
I will go ahead and ask you another question, assuming that you are indeed less Gnostic than first presumed:
This journey that you speak of, is it one that we ought to all take or rather one that you pity those who don't take it?

Welcome one and all to EPT! In this edition we have one of those who seek no labels, yet he applied for this show so clearly he has something to say!

I've had a persisting gut affiliation with Trump and the GOP almost like a baseball fan does for his home team but they honestly don't seem to hold the answers we need.

Do you find the stigma that almost all other political systems have against Anarchism to be fair?
Where do you feel Anarchism is, in relation to the wings and political spectrum?
Created:
Welcome to the Political edition of Exploration of X Thinker! Unlike the ERT, EPT will be focusing on politics and while religion may come up in conversation it by no means necessarily will.
Today we have a diehard anarchist. While this outlook is one many of us would regard as scary and immoral, it is important that we come into these things ready to have our minds opened or at least learn more about why we find the person's political system to be wrong.
I will not hold back in saying that I personally find Anarchism to be immature and immoral but that doesn't make me able to dismiss this individual's outlook as not worth hearing out. Instead, by hearing it out we can better understand the pros and cons of it more specifically and perhaps take the good parts into our own ideal political system.

All who have applied are accepted, I will limit it to four, so that overall I have 8 interviews going (including the four in the Religion forums) and see where my ability to handle them all at once goes from there.
Created:
To avoid overloading myself, I will leave it at four of these, I'm also doing it in the Politics forum and want to make sure I can properly dedicate to them. If I notice one going inactive or find the load easier to handle as I go along, I'll open more.

What are you sure of, with regards to reality and a creator?
Do you find it offensive when people suggest that agnosticism is merely being too cowardly to convict yourself to a faith?
Created:
Welcome to the ERT, the place where we endeavour religious thoughts.
Today on the show, we have DPR [TheDredPriateRoberts] who identifies as Agnostic on his profile but seeks to not be labelled at all. It is important that we take note that he is unlabelled and non-theistic rather than a non-denominational Theist or Deist, so that we take into account that this individual doubts God's existence altogether.
Doubting doesn't just mean lacking conviction and that is something we certainly wish to prove on this show.

Who are you and what is your stance on Theism and God/god(s)?
Created:
Welcome, one and all, to the ERT!
Today, on our show, we have someone who isn't religious but who wishes to speak on religion, he's an agnostic and an atheist (which he refers to as agnostic atheism) who goes by the name Press.
Since he has left very little in terms of his beliefs or thoughts on reality, it would be best to let him introduce himself and his stance.

I personally completely agree with the way you don't force your children into an outlook. It is important for each person to search with their own moral compass (but of course you should try and persuade them away from extremely immoral outlooks and no doubt they'd be smart enough to do so having been raised by you and your wonderful wife). Many people believe in a more structured, rigid stance on the creator and I guess it makes sense that the being 'behind all the scenes' is perhaps the very most difficult character to define in this play we call reality.
Would you say that the entity is conscious? Does it have an actual personality or is it a fabric along which we all exist and vibrate as particles and souls?
Created:
In the religion forums, I have begun interviewing people about their beliefs, I wish to do a very similar thing with Politics (but this of course will have more structure and censoring via avoiding asking certain things).
I am not here to convince, I am here to help you get your voice out there in a structured way.

Currently, tags have casings based on the casing of the first one to make the tag. This is a problem for future users of it.
I suggest forcing all tags to be first-letter-capital as the solution, since this won't require you reallocating how the database force-cases them.

Welcome one and all to the first interview of the show! It is none other than Mr. Eternal AKA EtrnlVw!
He says this of his beliefs:
At the very, very core of your being, you and God are one and the same (surprise), God is the Watcher of all your observations.
and it is to the very, very core of his beliefs that we wish to get!
He seems to believe that God is essentially the head of a complex web of heirarchy of conscious entities and within all, at the core of it all is God pulling the strings... Alternatively, is God the one inside going along the ride and we are the ones experiencing it for this entity?
We shall find out here on the Exploration of the Religious Thinker!

> = greater than
- Stimulants > depressants > hallucinogens
- Compassionate Justice (where compassion takes most importance). Loyalty matters but in the end some of the greatest heroes in history were turncoats and snitches, such as Edward Snowden and Nelson Mandela. I am not saying that betrayal is 'acceptable' in general, nonetheless when loyal to scum it is a sign of severe character to be 'loyal' to the victims and bigger picture.
- Strategic cunning > creative thinking > IQ > fast thinking
1 and 3 do have explanations behind them but I felt that only 2 demanded it to be typed out.

Your logic is that because a cat is cruel to a rat that therefore the rat will root for the human in that situation.
The cruelest animal species to rats are humans, who have made some of the most sadistic traps imaginable and no I don't mean the instant knockout metal lever even though that hurts them too. The most humane way to deal with wild rats is certain poison types (very important which) or to simply block all their entrance points to your home and let them get on with life.
I do not support animal cruelty to cats or any creature at all. Our species has the most capacity to be kind to others let's not waste it and instead be the cruelest.

In your opinion, if God/s is/are real, is/are he/she/it/they good, evil, neutral or a complex combination?
