Not really, I blocked you for a reason and you didn't even apologise.This entire thread is toxic as fuck but it wasn't me who reported it.
I view it as childish, but alright. You were the first to troll.
I could have blocked you first and acted as if I have the high ground, but no I didn’t.
What do you mean this thread is toxic? And what about a report?
Your thread is essentially saying that the purpose of EDM is to not be dancable or listenable and torture and tease the listener and that only those who endure shitty overly long buildups are 'real EDM fans'.
Why the negative attitude? You were impartial before but now your cynical. I doubt you listen to much EDM anyhow.

I had to edit the title quite a bit so it would fit, hence the mistakes.
Our experiences are almost the complete opposite.
The music I listen to from start till drop ranges from 40s to 1:30m . Whilst EDM trap I’ve heard takes like 15 seconds.
By the way I would call lofi electronic but no way EDM. Techno has a wide range of sub-genres both fast and slow just as dubstep.
Do you want to unblock me RM?

I’m specifically talking about build-ups.
Yes or no?

I put art into three categories; aesthetic, thought provoking, and aesthetically thought provoking.
We all see through our own lenses.

If you want to get into specifics such as colourful things like flowers, my on the spot thought is we got that trait from picking fruits (evolutionarily speaking.)

What are you guys talking about? OMFG. I’m not just talking about the sound/word “north.”
Can you please think a little bit harder. What gives you guys the idea of changing the word?

@fauxlaw
However, I do not believe we ought to abandon nationalities in favor of a one-world government, for I fear a loss of our individual cultures. I have been in many countries, including China, and I appreciate their different cultures, and celebrate our human diversity.
You contradict the first half with the second half. Could you clarify? As far as I know cultures exist regardless.

The etymology of north is actually pretty interesting. How different cultures throughout history have used natural events to mark where north is.

We call things random for phenomena we can’t explain.

@Discipulus_Didicit
If we did so then you would still be able to ask this question.
Yes. There are causes for everything.

@Theweakeredge
Was that explanation called for? No it wasn’t.
if you wanted to know why a magnet has specific poles why don't you just ask?
If I’m a pedantic jerk, you’re a tangential jerk.

Magnetic compasses explains maps of the past 2000 years. Now what’s the etymology of north? Arbitrarily deciding the magnetic north and south, I think not.

I don't understand the problem with admitting that atheists are capable of good or ill acts, same as with theists.
“With or without religion, good people can behave well and bad people can do evil; but for good people to do evil - that takes religion.”

@Lemming
I fail to see the doctrine in religion or theism.
All religions have doctrine. The Abrahamic religions for example condone a bunch of human atrocities. Many said religious followers don’t stick to those teachings because they know it’s wrong.
There is doctrine when organization is set up, where legalism and law is set up.But this is possible in atheism as well.Seems to 'me.
Atheism is the lack belief in god(s). An atheists perception of religion can turn into an extreme anti-theism, but that’s not just atheism anymore.

@Lemming
Hm, no answer, but I'm still bothered by the conversation,
It looks like it.
Seems to me they used atheistic doctrine to carry out and perpetuate atrocities. It’s impossible to do it with religion(Sarcasm)
We’re talking about atheism, not atheism+. Atheism doesn’t have doctrine.

@fauxlaw
I think you’re right.

I essentially asked about the origin of why we view/picture Earth’s geography a certain way. With north and south polarities, it could have been how we view it today, or it could have been upside down. Janesix taught me ancient Egyptians did their maps upside down.

@fauxlaw
I know about Earth’s magnetic polarity flips.
And yes, I know how we picture the world will not change.

Atheism isn’t Stalinism, Maoism, etc. Conservatives can be atheists too and I’m sure they murder a lot.

@Polytheist-Witch
So every theist who has killed someone did it for God and atheist kill for fun. Again, link?
No not every theist. But is it far more likely that abrahamic theists do it due to their theism oppose to atheists doing it because of atheism? I think yes.
I understand why you feel the need to be hyperbolic.
Created:

@Polytheist-Witch
Is there a link for the study or stats showing atheists have never killed anyone ever?
You’ll find next to zero results showing atheists killing anyone due to atheism (The lack of belief in god(s)
Atheism doesn’t have a whole ideology/culture underpinning it.
You might as well be asking for studies or stats showing ice cream eaters never killing anyone.

In spatial terms upside down is the right way up...
In spatial terms there’s no right or wrong way.
In human terms we chose one or the other
No, we chose one as far as I know.
Maybe relative to the position of knowledge.
What is that knowledge? That is the question.
Created:
-->
@zedvictor4
Is there a specific reason why we view/picture Earth’s geography a certain way? Or it just happenstance?
East and west has nothing to do with how we view Earth due to the magnetic field.
Why don’t we view and draw Earth’s geography upside down?

@fauxlaw
Then is it really failure?
Created:
-->
@fauxlaw
Doing something is the act of accomplishing an end goal. Whilst trying leaves room for the possibility of failure.
If your end goal is failure, are you learning anything? Correct me if I’m wrong.
Created:
For example, why is the world map not upside down?
It’s a legitimate question. I haven’t bothered to look up the answer. Do any of you know why?

Yes, no, or some? Only non-violent? Those who have parole around the corner?
What do you think, and why?

So, why do people only use the Christian Gods name in vain, since none have addressed the question so far.
It’s because you live in a Christian majority country and you only speak english . It’s not that hard to work out.
It’s a cultural thing for the most part.

@Sum1hugme
Why should we accept consent as a first principle of morality?
Who says it’s the first principal of ethics?
Are you going to ask a mugger if you can use force on them to defend yourself?
Personally I don’t think there is a first principal in ethics. It depends on the situation.
The closest first principal of ethics I can think of is self-preservation. But that ignores various obligations you may have to put yourself on the line.

@fauxlaw
Convince me that was not your accusation.
Convince you my accusation was not that God fucked Mary?
You convinced yourself of my “clear intent.” Your problem, not mine.
No, the biblical record contains no such ceremony, but it also happens to lack any record of Jesus between 12 and about 30. So, you dismiss that Jesus did not live over those 18 years?
Look, Jesus (all translations aside) was a very popular name back then. And child mortality rates were very high also.
So yeah, there were many Jesus’s that died.
How long did Adam & Eve spend in the Garden after creation?
They felt immortal before they got enlightened.
No, I'm not saying it was his marriage, just that there are enough clues, it cannot be totally discounted.
Apart from stating Jesus’s invitation. Probably to do some party tricks.
Often, that is how the Bible must be read; following clues, because it is not, never was, and never will be a concise record.
Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind.

What are you talking about? Jesus is God’s bastard son. Why do you think God made up that bullshit about sacrificing his only son? To hide his shame.

Oh, so the doctor who performs in vitro is guilty of out-of-wedlock congress with the woman? Sure, you can try to sell that bridge.
It’s God’s son...
