The media companies have an audience they cater too and they will lose this audience if they cannot sustain this addiction.

How would them all being a hive mind differentiate them from the competition?

They take a niche approach.
A niche marketing strategy is an approach that focuses on serving a particular segment of the market with unique needs and preferences. It involves identifying a specific group of customers with distinct requirements and tailoring marketing efforts to meet their needs.

It's really odd that you are making random posters about a niche when we were talking about a completely unrelated topic
It was in response to your question on how they differentiate from the competition.

They take a niche approach.

The cops I wouldn't be surprised if they "accidentally" miss some details or if they intentionally fuck up the investigation by revealing stuff like what was written on shell casings or what is in a backpack only he would know about so that way if a detective does get a confession it doesn't matter because he literally can only give details that are public knowledge
The cops can only report what they know or find. They let out this information so the public can assist them in figuring out the connections they might have missed.

What role should the Catholic Church play in modern secular societies?
-->
@Lemming
I think communities should encourage, discourage, community legislate against sins.
Which would be lacking much 'direct force,
Home Owners Association for instance, can't have me whipped if I paint my house a gaudy color.
But 'could exert influence, or fines in certain situations, such as a community where one agrees to laws before joining.

On a Federal Level however, I think I prefer the direction of the American Constitution.
You should at least respect the community you live in.

@n8nrgim
should sins be outlawed? some people think for example that sodomy should be outlawed. historically, it was an outlawed practice. some old school catholics might want to outlaw the sins defined in their church, but progressive catholics or moderate ones might want to respect the autonomy of other people as long as the sin doesn't hurt other people.
All kinds of sins are outlawed in the Bible. But because of the separation of church and state America is struggling to implement the commandments in the Bible.

Love thy neighbour but be likeable yourself.
The Quran must tell Muslims to hate their neighbour and be least likeable. Only that can explain why 60 percent of Muslim countries are at war with each other and their neighbours. The Jews were never liked throughout their history and faced antisemitism wherever they went. Nowhere in their Hebrew Bible does it tell Jews to be likeable. Christianity follows Jesus’s teaching. Even here Jesus never taught it was important to be likeable. Jesus was crucified for his oversight for not being likeable.

How can you say nobody was negatively affected from his trading when he denied 32% of insurance claims and somebody’s wife died as a result of being denied?
Because the trading and the insurance fraud are not the same thing. The insurance fraud killed people. The insider trading made people money
You are talking about a healthcare executive profiteering from insider trading when he should be concentrating on insurers health claims.

Do Masons believe in God in the Bible?
Masonry is a system of paganism and idolatry, demanding belief in a god, not the God of the Bible. They call him Baalim, an idol god. 9. Masonry demands that those coming into its order swear an oath that is wrong for any man to take, supporting their right to take his life if he divulges their secrets.

Whatever the answers are to these questions, I have a hunch no amount of googling can resolve them all. People far smarter than I have tried, is it an appeal to authority to trust Einstein and Stephen Hawking simply know better than I do?

This mystery does provide a certain excitement to dying, though I am quite content living with only my earthly pleasures. If I am wrong, and the Chrisitan god exists, I know that he'll completely understand my reasoning for atheism. Better than I do. If he throws me into "an eternal pit of fire," that's not a god that I want to worship.
Jesus is an authority we can appeal to, and he proved it again and again.
His words had authority Matt7.28-29
Matthew 7:28–29 ESV
And when Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at his teaching,

for he was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes.
His words of authority were backed up with demonstrations of his authority over creation
Luke 8:22–25 ESV
One day he got into a boat with his disciples, and he said to them, “Let us go across to the other side of the lake.” So they set out,

and as they sailed he fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water and were in danger.

And they went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” And he awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging waves, and they ceased, and there was a calm.

He said to them, “Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and they marveled, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that he commands even winds and water, and they obey him?”
If Jesus says Let us go across to the other side, you will make it to the other side.

Whites are nationalist, white supremacist and the ideology is very Christian
The problem is that American Christianity needs to excise itself from white supremacy—the practices and teachings that reveal a commitment to the idea that white lives are more valuable than Black lives—but that can only happen if Christians do the rigorous work of disentangling which parts of their religion are about being white and which parts are about being Christian. Given our history, this is no small task.

Looking back at American history, white Christian churches were in fact biracial churches, in that both whites and Blacks worshipped together. However, the reality was that slave owners were bringing enslaved people to church with them. Whites would sit in the front and enslaved people would sit in the back or in specially constructed balconies. The sermons, prayers, and liturgies were all by definition and design constructed to be compatible with a worldview in which it was okay for whites to own Black Americans.

The role that white Christians have played in the troubling racial dynamics in the country has shaped the entire American story.

The Bible is Alternate Facts
Here is an example of the Bible being a book of alternate facts. The Jews were told to honour their parents parents.

Exodus 20:12 “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.

Jesus totally contradicts that law with an alternate substitution.
The Jesus who said "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth; I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother" (Matthew 10:34-37) is not a Jesus whom I can accept as a moral model. The statement is consistent, however, with the Jesus of Luke 14:26, who says, "If any man come to me, and hate not his father and mother and wife and children and brethren and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple."

Everyone should own a bible and a black slave
Owning slaves without a Bible is purely economic.
On any given day in 2021, an estimated 7 million men, women, and children were living in modern slavery in Africa, a prevalence of 5.2 people in modern slavery for every thousand people. Africa had the fourth highest prevalence of modern slavery among the five regions of the world, following the Arab States (10.1 per thousand), Europe and Central Asia (6.9), and Asia and the Pacific (6.8). Forced labour was the most common form of modern slavery in the region, at a rate of 2.9 per thousand people, while forced marriage was at 2.4 per thousand.

When considering the total number of people in forced marriage worldwide, 13 per cent (3.2 million) were in Africa, second to Asia and the Pacific, which at 65 per cent has by far the highest share of the world’s forced marriages. Fourteen per cent of all people in forced labour were in Africa (3.8 million), the third highest behind Asia and the Pacific (55 per cent) and Europe and Central Asia (15 per cent).

The countries with the highest prevalence of modern slavery in Africa are Eritrea, Mauritania, and South Sudan. The countries with the lowest prevalence of modern slavery in Africa are Mauritius, Lesotho, and Botswana.

Nearly 4 million men, women, and children experience forced labour in Africa, particularly in the mining, agriculture, fishing, and domestic work sectors.1 African job seekers misled by traffickers with false promises are subjected to forced labour abroad, such as in the Gulf states.2 Children are also exploited in their pursuit of education. For example, under the confiage (trust) system in Togo, children from rural areas are sent to cities to complete their education and live with relatives, who may force them into domestic servitude.3 Nigerian girls seeking employment as domestic helpers to help pay for schooling are also subjected to domestic servitude.4 In Senegal, talibe (student, seeker) children in Quranic schools are forced to beg.5

In Africa, forced marriage particularly impacts women and girls. One in every 300 females in the region was in a forced marriage compared to one in every thousand males.6 In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, reports of child marriages increased in Sudan, Egypt,7 and parts of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC),8 and they nearly doubled in communities across Senegal and Uganda.9 Women and girls living in conflict zones also experience forced and child marriage, including as a negative coping mechanism by families to protect them from further violence10 and by fighters who abduct, marry, and exploit women and girls as domestic and sexual slaves.11 Forced commercial sexual exploitation of women and girls is used as a weapon of war by both state and non-state groups, reportedly in the Central African Republic, the DRC, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan,12 and by both parties to the civil war in Ethiopia’s Tigray region.

Thats actually rare on this site now. You are not here for shock value or to gain attention. You just want to have a calm debate and convince your opponent to believe what you believe. You dont take extreme debate positions. Your style are casual debate positions which arent upsetting anyone much. Now, I have yet to see you insulting someone or doing personal attacks. You seem like a debater interested in just defending your position rather than engaging in some pointless online insult fights. Thats a great quality. May you prosper!

JD Vance claims that he was a different person in 2016. Leading up to the presidential election, Vance publicly called Donald Trump “reprehensible,” “a fraud,” and an “idiot.” In a private Facebook message with a former classmate from Yale Law School, he questioned whether Trump could be “America’s Hitler.”
He defined himself as a staunch “Never Trumper” who has since changed his mind.
Trump likes people whose mind he has changed. This shows his power over them. But he does not approve women of changing their mind about him.

Idk, I run into the same problem with polytheism. If the gods are good, why is the universe an indifferent chamber of horrors? If the gods are bad, why worship them?
Because humans are divided about their gods. Good example the Jews and Christians are divided over Jesus and the Trinity.

Atheists that believe no God exists due to no evidence known is a weak basis.
So wrap your head around  these two questions for us if you can.

Are these biblical comments true or false?

Jesus either identified himself the night of his arrest or Judas identified Jesus with a kiss. Which is it?

The women spread the word of the empty tomb or they didn't. Which is it?
Matthew 26:48-54
Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The one I kiss is the man; arrest him.” Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed him. Jesus replied, “Do what you came for, friend.” Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus and arrested him.

Mark 16:8 Trembling and bewildered, the women went out and fled from the tomb. They said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid.

Took a few seconds to find the verses.
