The politicians of New York were purportedly prepared to offer a deal, in hopes that they might convince Amazon to build one of its headquarters in New York City.  Supposedly, this was in one of the less off areas?  The negotiations have ran their course, and the prospect has since fell through.  Feel free to open any discussion on the matter.

A new trade agreement has been hammered out, redubbed the USMCA here in the States.  It's been signed by the heads of state of Mexico, Canada, and the United States of America, but has yet to go through Congress.  What do you think about it?

When considering whether a candidate measures up to your standards, what things would you tend to draw a hard line on?

Putting the equation aside, the general idea probably holds true if you mean more people assume responsibility for themselves, unless the intellectually best path forward is savagery.  If savagery is preferable, than probably not.

Anyone have any experience with electric cars here?  I like the idea of them, and I'm thinking I may do some serious consideration once I get my use out of the one I have now.  I like something that I can take care of and be able to pass onto someone else who can take pride in it.  You know, if you are going to do something might as well do it right, something that's worth going to the trouble in the first place.  I'm not sure how the maintenance works on the batteries and stuff.  Hybrids can be included too.  For a car I prefer something with some zip but feel free to talk about your own preferences and experience.

How do you check that your SSD (Solid State Drive) or HDD (Hard Disk Drive) is in good repair?  Can hard drives be rebuilt with fresh parts, or carefully removing the original hard disc and placing into a new carriage with fresh bearings, disc readers, electronics etc...? In their respective designs, what design and manufacturing elements help to ensure that data is not corrupted over the lifetime of the storage medium, and that the storage device has a predictable service life over the long term?
