My point is that transgenderism is a mental illness that shouldn't be indulged in -- just because you can look like the opposite sex doesn't mean you should. By allowing transgender people to engage in their mental illness, you're doing as much harm as telling a schizophrenic that the voices in their head are real and should be listened to. 

What one should do is entirely subjective. Since you are not transgender you really have no business telling people who've been dealing with these issues what they should be doing.

Calling it a mental illness is nothing but a meaningless subjective opinion.

I suggest you start a new forum topic where all the bigots get on the same page about what Transgendered Ideology believes and then try to find at least three examples of influential people making such a claim in questions of public policy.

The psychology related studies usually have high failure rate.

Any ideology that says "You are bad because this happened in your childhood" is not only very stupid, but one could even say pointless.

Therefore, it is of no surprise that psychology didnt (sic) result in decrease of mental illnesses.

In fact, the success rate of psychology in dealing with mental illnesses is non-existent.

Prayer is more likely than psychology to cure the depression.

So naturally, to compensate for its high failure rate, psychology turns to studies in hope that it discovers something that was previously hidden.

Therefore, the point of studies is not to solve the problem, as proven by response to conclusions 1 and 2. The point of studies is to make profit from that problem.

• It’s infiltrating public education, legislation, laws, court decisions, scotus decisions legislating from the bench in order to pander to it, it’s in television, it’s in YouTube videos (the beast), product advertisement, in our girls/women’s sports and their safe spaces (bathrooms, locker rooms), it’s forcefully altering language and punishing those who don’t agree or use the right pronouns. I can go on and on and on. It is a big deal. And it’s all premised on a mental disorder that’s invading the lives of children. WA state is even going so far as passing legislation allowing the state to legally kidnap your child if you don’t agree with their wishes to be called Johnny instead of Jane and place them in either a liberal or alphabet soup foster home while they transition without your further knowledge or acceptance. It is a big deal.
  

I've gotten plenty of exposure to transgender people, none of them have said "Why don't you try being transgender, join our ideology!" It's just not that big a deal. 

I suppose that's why I referred to it as "societal norms", and that doesn't change the definition of the word norm.

Well there are many reasons I find it concerning. 

The idea of transgenderism is that a man can become a woman, and vice versa. This idea in of by itself breaks down social norms.  

Do you think transgenderism was recently invented kid, is that the peoblem here?   Yes, we have always had societal norms and transgenderism has always existed, not the norm, but the whole idea of the term norm is that there is a distribution around the norm.  The fact that there have always been diversity around the norm is the norm.  Why does this particular variation upset you so much?
