Just because there is a separation of powers between State and Church it doesn't mean that Churches are automatically exempt from the common-sense laws of the land.
to shut the church down and to negate meeting together is the worse call.
Yes, they did that in days of yore, but by comparison with modern society and what we now know about health, that was pretty crude.
They did a lot of things hundreds of years ago that are now considered completely barbaric and primitive. For example, the common people were so uneducated and highly superstitious they actually believed there was a God. Nowadays of course most people tend to look away when confronted by such loonies.

I would suggest that the internal dilemmas of some theists, often manifests as bitterness and antagonism.
Quite right there.
For example, if one were to look at a truly bitter and antagonistic theist (and I won't mention Ethong's name here) you can see a pattern of behavior that is typical of religious reasoning.
As we know, Christianity has a notorious reputation for harboring bigotry and hatred towards minority groups. I think that a religious follower's compulsion to follow such anti-social dictums is indicative of underlying psychological issues which religion seems to exemplify.

Excellent questions there.So let me ask yall a few questions: 1 is God a hypocrite? 2: is he a liar? 3:Does he want us to disobey him?
Even religious people will admit that God means different things to different people and delusion has the same effect.
For example, Jimmy Stewart played an excellent portrayal in "Harvey" where his imaginary friend was somehow quite wise and reasoned. People actually admired Harvey in how he spoke with his "pooka".
Now, contrast that with post #22 above. One look at the morose-looking mask certainly sets the scene as to what abhorrent nonsense is to follow.
Obviously, someone like this is going to have one heck of an r sole for an imaginary friend and it certainly shows, doesn't it?
