About me

Mm - so you're here now - you've been browsing profiles at random - or maybe your somebody I pissed off in the forums, either way, hello there - welcome to the collection of labels and descriptions regarding one user - Theweakeredge. No, my profile doesn't lie - I am indeed a 17-year-old high schooler who puts way too much time into this website. Despite that I'm here anyway - I do love this website, it's amazing, despite how I conduct myself - I am truly grateful for the wealth of different perspectives and arguments - it really helps enrich my own argumentation.
Previously this has been all about my positions, how I saw the world, but now I want to dedicate this space to get out how i feel about this website and my little niche within it. If you want to know my positions go and look at my debates and forums, I'm sure you'll come to an opinion. Anyways, as I said, I'm grateful for this place - at the same time - I detest it. Not the website itself, but the type of culture it propagates, the type of people it can attract. When DebateArt works it goes hard, but at the same time it also has a tendency for attracting all sorts of... detestable people.
However, anyone whose been here long enough can kinda tell who will stick around long term and who'll abandon ship - after a while, you can just tell - kinda intuitive like a gamer can tell if an attack will kill them or not after playing a game enough times. If you manage to stick it out through the initial excitement, you'll probably gravitate towards a particular topic, some people are very exclusively conversational about that thing, but others are more widespread. Myself? I'm in a weird position, if there was a niche I filled - it'd probably be the resident progressive/activist.
That's about all I can write up about now, hopefully you found whatever you were looking for coming to my profile page. Ciao.
