They both do and have continued to do so over the centuries. You are correct but there is a slight difference. One will attempt to convert the world to its way of thinking using violence given the chance and the other does not.
If you are somehow trying to make out that Christian conversion is somehow non-violent, consider that Christian militia in the Central African Republic has slaughtered thousands of Muslims in the past 5 years alone, lest we forget the ethnic cleansing by Christians during the Balkans conflict. Do you need to be reminded of the Spanish Inquisition and the brutal reign of Henry VIII whereby anyone even suspected of heresy would be brutally killed?
If you really want to make a head-count of which religion has killed more I'm sure you will find that so far, Christianity wins hands down.
Nevertheless, each religion is as absurd as the other. Muslims and Christians have been at each other's throats since time immemorial trying to prove who has the best imaginary friend.

9 in 10 people get chicken pox in their lifetimes, today. So... ok? Well done I guess?
Completely wrong.
It is estimated that since the use of the varicella vaccine in 1995 became widespread, there has been an 85 percent decrease in infections.

At this point I have to wonder if you're just trolling me. Let me know when you catch up.......... This is beginning to fall into the categories of obnoxious and monotonous. ......But at this time I think it's fair to say there's not much more to go over.
Let's just say that you have been well and truly cornered on a point of fact that you have no valid answer for.
The point was made:
The big difference is that you're claiming processes occur only through an intelligent source. What I am asking is how can you verify that? We see many things that you call processes in nature that lack any sign of intelligent involvement. On what grounds are you extending the premise?
The fact is that every single process of nature has found to have occurred through nothing more than the behaviour of nature. Behaviour is not created.
For example, evil is a behaviour and that was not created, was it?

Yes, and I have also heard of sarcasm.Ever heard of common sense?
The very first passage of the Bible claims that God created the earth.
Someone who is predisposed to assuming creation would state that passage as being literal.
Someone reading the same passage objectively and at face value would take as being a figure of speech.

Hilarious the way you make blanket statements,
My statement was serious and it was specific.
Anyone who didn't come down in the last shower would know that Muslims and Christians each claim their respective religion to be the sole pathway to God.
Unless such a person completely ignores the information that is relevant to support the fact.
But then that would take considerable arrogance to maintain, would it not?

I would not have thought that misspelt excrement could be baptised.A normal question without prefacing, blanket statements, assertions and insults? (Holy sht) wait..

I've never been to a Church in my life that discriminates nor would I support that in any way, sorry Willy. Perhaps try a different Church?
Well, it's great to hear that you have never been to a Church that doesn't discriminate.
Can you name it?

Even more impressive being both literal and figurative...
But how can one distinguish between what is literal and what is figurative in scriptures?

Wouldn't it be more true to say that you simply despise anyone who has a valued and reasoned argument against your own unfounded beliefs? Especially since you made a personal attack for no reason at all.I'm doubting the moderation of this place but this kind of garbage needs to go and stay out. If you don't report it I will. This guy and vagabond are trolls from DDO,

Whether it be Islam or Christianity, each accuses the other of lying and claiming its faith to be the truth.Just more conspiracy. People can encourage whatever lies they can to keep people from the truth of jesus christ. And that cdc,who arent to be trusted.
You are saying nothing new; in other words, displaying blind ignorance and arrogance and asserting what you believe is right.

Isn't any form of baptism symbolic anyway?I assume you are talking about the symbol of baptism and not the baptism itself. After all, water baptism only represents real baptism.

I thoroughly agree with you there although I think that society has moved on and such discriminations are only rife in religious organisations such as churches where members are encouraged to discriminate against minority groups and bigotry is fostered. For example, the vilification of gays, anti-abortion, anti-assisted dying and anti-unmarried couples and mothers.Unfortunately humans have a very bad habit of discrimination and judging others of difference. Very sad.
