Israel's long-standing strategy in the Middle East includes preventing Iran from becoming a nuclear power  to preserve military and geopolitical freedom of action in the region. If Iran acquires nuclear weapons, it could deter Israeli or Western intervention, and embolden Tehran's influence over proxies like Hezbollah and the Houthis.

Control over key maritime routes like the Red Sea and Arabian Sea is also strategic, especially after recent Houthi attacks on global shipping. With Iran backing these groups, Israel sees an opportunity and  necessity  to push back.

But this time, the things are different. Iran is closer than ever to weapons-grade uranium (IAEA reports), has stronger regional ties, and global opinion is shifting amid the war in Gaza. If somehow trump is impeached for attacking Iran it would most probably the final nail in coffin for Israels dream to rule over middle east.
