Sansa, as in Sansa Stark, is a pretty name, but IDK if I'd want any child to be associated with that character throughout life. That said, I'd totally name a daughter of mine Leia or Padme, so...

I was actually listening to Nicki Minaj and I got inspired to throw my hat in the ring. It was pretty fun, since I rarely write anything like that. I like poetry, but rap is really very different because of the musicality and pacing elements involved. Also, the subject matter was wierd for me--since it's invective-laden and egotistically-oriented. Usually my poetry is about nature or something depressing, lol. This was an interesting and creative experiment. Let me know how I did.

I think this is really a hard call, because it is probably a call-out thread. I think the rap is fine, because insults like that are a huge part of the rap genre. What bothers me is the accusation of toxicity. But, is that serious enough to call this a call-out thread? IDK. Probably not. I think the community has indicated a desire for a laxer approach. This is borderline. I think it should remain active for now, and perhaps be locked if it devolves too far. But, I don't think your first instinct here was wrong; I think though that, after some more thought, it should be left open for now.

I am sad to hear he won't be back, though he'll be able to if he wants. His posts are often interesting and insightful. That said, I disagree with your point of view. I am not going to give breaks to people because they are naturally cantankerous; it's their job to be aware of that and to manage it within the limits of the COC (which is not much to ask). But, I am aware that there is a concern about overmoderation, and that is something which needs to continue to be addressed.

RM, you honestly need to take a chill pill. Your ban was explained to you. You received ample forewarning against the kinds of remarks which resulted in your ban. Your ban was notably brief, and I took steps to accommodate your requests for a delay in your ban's implementation. If all that makes me evil, I'll live with it. If you have grievances with other actions of mine, you are always free to vociferously protest, as other members have. I have not sought to clamp down significantly on free speech as mod, and I will continue to allow people to freely criticize moderation openly and harshly. But the purpose of this thread is pretty obviously just to do a hit job on me. Since it's not as if you're posting this thread to actually engage constructively, you can't honestly expect a constructive reply. That said, your objections are noted. Aloha.

Drafter, I am not really gonna debate this with you. The way this process is unfolding is little different than DDO's DERP process, and is being done in a way to maximize opportunity for participation. Read into it whatever you will, but that's it.

There is no rush to close the voting--particularly when participation is low. It is not really as if any of the votes are razor thin and I am just waiting for that one vote to swing something my way. I am simply giving people as much of a chance to merely participate. But, as I said earlier, the voting will close soon.

I kind of need you to be more specific. Just take a second to look at the questions and then cast a vote.

It's just thickly sliced fresh mozzarella and thinly sliced tomatoes (because cheese > fruit), layered in an alternating pattern, over which you grind a little salt and pepper. Sprinkle some fresh copped basil on top for an even better orgasm. Then, add olive oil and balsamic vinegar to taste. Voila. You have perfection. It's super easy to make and is a great accompaniment to any Italian dish (or a great appetizer or binge food, 'cause hey, I'm still getting some fruit, right?).

I'll make myself a Caprese--lots of fresh mozzarella, some tomato, a tiny bit of oil, and a large amount of vinegar. I make wierd comfort food choices tbh. My next choice would be lasagna.

Question 3 is about how we should moderate the select winner system. The question is proposing that the standard currently used to evaluate argument points under the 7-point system be used to moderate the select winner system.

Users can suggest things to be included--one of the things currently on the MEEP ballot was suggested and then seconded by a few members. Ultimately, moderation decides what is on the MEEP ballot, but any proposals involving significant change will automatically be added.
