SUPREME COURT RULES "LOCKDOWN" ILLEGAL
-->
@3RU7AL
There seems to be some confusion. Masks provide some minor benefit in protecting yourself. However the largest benefit is protecting others by inhibiting what comes out of your mouth. So in a sense, six feet + mask will protect you, provided it's everyone else who is wearing the mask.

is 180000 dead due to coronavirus an acceptable loss to not shut down the economy?
-->
@Greyparrot
That's a statistic calculated before scientists discovered that the overwhelming number of infected people showed no symptoms. Many were getting the disease unknowingly.
Statistics calculated before discovering and including asymptomatic people had a death rate of >1%. Based on this article, 0.7 isn't too far off the mark

It seems like later studies are suggesting an IFR of 0.5 - 1.0

@bmdrocks21
Oh yes. My bad. Choosing what to do with them based on what is best for Americans is tooootally unrelated.......
In terms of morals? Yes.

I doubt most of them speak English better than their home language. Having marketable skills and knowledge of English will get you a great job, considering America and other European countries that speak English do a lot of business abroad.
Or so you hope, as if that's a reasonable justification to uproot a person from the only country they've known for their entire adult lives.

Don’t care. There can be a debate about if it is beneficial that they stay here. But if they are a net negative to real Americans, they should be deported immediately. A nation’s job is to take care of ITS citizens, not a bunch of foreign national criminals.
Well I'm certainly glad you agree it's morally reprehensible.

You see, the conversation is always "what about the poor DACA people (criminals)" and never "what is best for actual Americans".
I know. What a strange thing to talk about DACA in a conversation about DACA instead of veering off into unrelated conversation.

They aren't having their lives destroyed. Having years of education in a first-world nation will prepare them to be a lot more successful in their home countries than they otherwise would have been.
No, they are having their lives destroyed. You're just attempting to justify and minimise it. The fact is, getting bundled off to a foreign country where you don't understand the culture and language and where you don't have your friends, work connections, family or job is tantamount to having your life destroyed short of literally getting executed.

I don't believe in awarding criminal behavior in any fashion. They should have been deported immediately, years ago. The fact that immigration authorities didn't do their job well doesn't give those criminals a free pass.
I agree. They should've along with their parents. However I do not address what should have been but what is. It is morally reprehensible to destroy the lives of those who are basically Americans when they've personally done nothing wrong.

It's especially hard to figure out what Bernie believes today as the Democrat party has shifted noticeably toward a Marxist paradigm.

All of those opinions were 2015.
That's ok. It doesn't matter in this case because your quote relates to bringing in foreign workers and is irrelevant in this case.

Assuming you're talking about DACA recipients, then yes. Destroying someone's life who is for all intents and purposes an American on a technicality that they could not control is morally reprehensible.

Those people would not be here if not for the facilitation of open borders.
Ok.. but this has nothing to do with the fact that they are there.

It's morally wrong to harm poor Americans as 2015 Bernie Sanders stated.
... in the context of opening borders and bringing in foreign workers. I think in the context of DACA, Bernie has a rather different opinion.

This situation is really rather simple. There is one clip that shows Trump making erratic gestures. If there are multiple such clips which are able to establish a history of such behaviour, the situation becomes fairly cut and dry. I'm not sure why you're quibbling about opinions.

Admittedly it won't make a difference overall, just because Trump has a long list of legitimate character defects such that this one isn't likely to make a dent into his record.

There is a cost to living in society, and one of those costs is adhering to rules which generally make the society a safer and better place for all collectively. Consider any penalties as society telling you to fuck off with your selfishness.

Nothing makes reality true. Reality IS truth. But since your opinions are not reality, you should have s way of determining your opinions from reality. You currently don't.
Again, you seem to think that you spouting nonsense changes reality. It does not

You didn't post facts. And you cannot post reality.
Too bad then that you chose not to demonstrate it.
Your simple denials do not change reality

I was too charitable to say outright that thinking you could demonstrate the truth of your opinion was a delusion. But thank you. You are quite humble.
I do apologise. I made the mistake of assuming you were able to understand simple english word flow. Of course in hindsight, given your propensity to interpret words in however manner you see fit  depending on whichever circumstance you find favourable, I should've realised otherwise. To be clear you're delusional.

Apparently, you have no way of determining opinions from reality.
Your opinions do not make reality true

May I humbly suggest you provide those facts when you state those opinions?
As was done from the outset. It cannot be helped with your twisted interpretation of reality

None the less, you have strayed far off topic, but every claim I stated at the onset of our exchange has remained true and unchallenged.
Rather demonstrably proven false

You have admitted yours are opinion, but insist they are true. When you demonstrate them so, I will agree with you.

Going by the information in your post, the regions around those states actually have the relative lowest temperatures of the US. If we accept that this average temperature is sufficient to cause an increase in transmission, why are we not seeing similar levels of transmission similar to Idago, Washington and Oregon throughout the US?

Both threads and boards have names, and people do not visit either randomly. Not rational people who can read anyway.
Imagine muttering about subjectivity in one breath and then expressing a subjective view in the other

Your TDS and poor reading comprehension are independent of my words.
That would be due to your denial of reality.

Deaths should be low. Like it is in red states. Like it's not in blue states.
Rather, one should be examining the growth and decline of cases. As I mentioned before, before you yet again pulled a classic dodge

Lucky then for us that you didn't build the website because you would have stupidly seen no reason to name the different boards.
You've mixed up the words "boards" and "threads". They are rather different things.

You were told. My work is done.
And yet your words have said otherwise

There are times talking to a snowflake when one needs not say anything.
I can't agree more. Fact denialism and constant deflections hardly need responses most of the time

Growth rate of what? Certainly not deaths. See the big shining red middle of America? And the necro blue ends on the east, west and south?
Cases of course. But obviously deaths should be proportional to cases.

Absolutely.

Butthurt again.
Another deflection

No, I'm not a liberal so I already know that no butthurt will. You needed to be told.
You say this but your words have indicated otherwise.

Would everyone agree with you?
Absolutely.

I just go by how many died, instead of which stat will look worse for Trump.
I go by the stat which is actually relevant when determining how well a state is dealing with Covid-19.

Fret not, it seems covid-19 has no trouble figuring that out.
I was thinking the same thing judging by the growth rate trends

You're right about the pattern but wrong about the cause. Radiowaves have been scientifically proven to aid in the transmission and reproductive ability of Covid-19. Where are the greatest concentrations of radiowaves? Obviously near large and sustained gatherings of humans carrying radiowave emitting devices. The 5G controversy was only the tip and most recent example of the harmful dangers of radiowaves.

Traffic to a thread cannot be delusion jedthro. Take my suggestion about snootiness.
Traffic to a thread indicates that the thread has been visited. Nothing about visiting a thread indicates that anyone is reading your drivel, least of all finding you to be entertaining.

No amount of your butthurt will change reality.
No amount of your butthurt will you mean

The "worst pandemic response" was subjective. But we already know you confuse your opinion with facts.
Worst is hardly a subjective qualifier when backed up objective facts. Such as the ones you just conceded.

Look at a map of red and blue states, and then look a map of the states with the worse covid-19 cases. Oops! See chester, delusions can't change reality.
My dear ethan. When one is to examine which state is doing "better" when dealing with covid-19, one examines the growth and decline of cases, not the total sum of cases.

I'll leave you with some objective data on state covid-19 growth rate . I can never figure out which states are left or right but I'm sure you're clever enough to figure that out on your own

I answered you. Saying I dodge means nothing. Everyone reading knows I did. Everyone not suffering from TDS anyway.
No one's reading this steaming turd of an exchange. But if someone were to, they would recognise you've been dodging anything of meaningful substance since the very beginning.

You keep telling your opinions as if they matter. Trump cares about Americans. That is why he won. The voters could see that no one else did because all of them were pushing political correct hypocrisy.
Most influential person in the country refusing to be a role model for wearing a mask for no reason other than vanity
Holding a rally in a pandemic despite the known risks of transmission

That is not in contention Cletus. What is not a fact is your opinion you form from this fact that Trump doesn't care for people. When challenged to support your hypocritical reasoning with a much worse, but similar example of liberals not observing social distancing and holding demonstrations, you ran away like a scared little girl. I want facts without your tired hypocrisy tied to them.
Again you dodge. Again you bring forth the whataboutism. What tired talking points they are.

Check his writings and speeches, they are freely available on the net. Hitler never called himself an anti-semite. That is a fact. He was judged an anti-semite by his beliefs and behavior. Just as I can read your posts to discern your beliefs and behavior. You, my reality challenged friend, are a liberal with a terminal case of TDS.
Your judgements are pure codswallop and baseless in nature in the light of this one inalienable truth: Hitler was the ultimate troll.

That you're a liberal is not fantastical. And I don't care one whit for what you don't give a whit about. Calling the truth "supposition" does not change it at all. Truth is stubborn that way.
It is fantastical of the most disturbing nature. The fact that you think you can apply your opinions upon me as if they were factual is disturbing enough. That it debases your own philosophies makes it that much worse

Your hypocrisy leaves you no option.
Kindly address that which has substance. Again, you seem to be inventing positions for me. While these positions are cute to ridicule, I worry about the amount of somersaults that your head must go through to concoct them.

Give me facts, not opinions.
The facts have been as they are since last uttered and yet remain unaddressed. Trump does not wear a mask and held a rally.

Please put the paddles back when you are through back-paddling.
More pointless drivel. The evidence lies but a page back, or it would if it did not reveal your dishonesty.

Hitler never called himself an anti-semite either. But his beliefs and behavior betrayed him.
Your opinions are not facts. I do not give a whit for your fantastical suppositions.

First, you have answered none of my questions. I have told no lies, unless you believe lies are whatever contradicts you. Like all liberals, you are a hypocrite. You will ignore thousands of libtards roaming the streets and then have a cow over Trump not wearing a mast at a rally.
Whataboutism isn't a valid line of questioning and is summarily dismissed. If you want to discuss matters not relating to Trump, open up a thread and ping me in it.

My answer was, "Trump desperately want people to be well." You add in your personal opinion of  a "callous approach to Covid-19" and then pretend your opinion is fact. Trumps approach has not been callous. Your TDS is what makes you confuse your opinion for fact.
In other-words you have once again dodged the question. Unfortunately it looks like your reverse TDS is too far gone.

You could not. Trump did not sat anyone should ingest disinfectants, and you cannot post where he said so. The post where you made that false claim has your loony interpretation yes, but it doesn't contain any comment from Trump saying people should ingest disinfectants. So did not say it, yet you claimed it. That, my morality challenged friend, is commonly referred to as a lie.
I did not ask for false drivel. If you are confused about what I claimed, my claim is only a page back.

You have not what? You called yourself a liberal, does that not mean you subscribe to the touchstone positions of liberalism? Words mean things slick.
More false drivel. Where did I call myself a liberal?

Yes. The conservative is always lying. Only you can never show his lie, and when he asks you pointed questions, you dodge answering. One of us is being dishonest true.
Not at all. I evaluate people on a per case basis. In your case, you've directly lied and dodged the same question for several posts now. This indicates that you are dishonest.

Yet I can and have answered all your questions and you've dodged answering mine. Ducking questions is a classic sign of dishonesty. But I will still beat you, even if you run away from my questions.

Do the BLM demonstrators want people to be well?
Except for the central question that you have continuously dodged. Does trump "desperately want people be well" given his callous approach to Covid-19?

I want to show your hypocritical dishonesty. Do you condemn BLM demonstrators for the same behavior you're condemning Trump for? No, you don't. So you had to dodge that question. But the Gentle Reader sees you dodge. That is all I need.
What a strange way of thinking. To profess you look to words as they appear, when in this thread, out tumbles words as they do not. I would call you a hypocrite but you would obviously already know this given that you are a master of detecting hypocritical behaviour.
I saw your loony interpretation, I did not see Trump say it. Which is why you dodge again.
In other words, I did not say it.
In other threads you have. You are a blazing liberal. Even now, you can't deny any of those positions. And again, you dodged every question.
Nice copout. Or in otherwords, I have not and you cannot provide evidence against it.

No. You do that. I just take what he says.
... and then apply your own subjective reasoning. It's perfectly fine to do this. But obviously it's nicer if you're honest that you do it.

I do. Your TDS makes you see what's not there.
You know, no one minds that you're riddled with reverse-TDS because it's a valid view nonetheless. It's really just the intellectual dishonesty.

Do the BLM demonstrators want people to be well?
What does this have to do with the assertion that trump "desperately wants people to be well"?

The only thing you're always under is TDS. Here, you will dodge, but it will still cause you some cognitive dissonance. Post the sentence where Trump said we should ingest disinfectants. See? You can't do it, and yet, you think it. I bet you're easily hypnotizable.
Perhaps post the post where I made the claim that he did.

Is that discourse or trying to force people into your political opinions? Are laws against " hate speech" discourse? Is forcing us to pay for your abortion discourse?
I would classify what you said as closer to complete gibberish given that I've made none of those claims or have stated none of those positions. You claim that you regard words as they are. Perhaps you should practice what you preach?

Because Trump knows nothing he could say, and I do mean absolutely nothing, would satisfy the fake news media. He was again trolling you. We who aren't suffering under TDS know this, and we are greatly entertained. He didn't backtrack. What he said meshed with my first answer to you. You think he "backtracked" because you think your interpretation was correct. It wasn't. So, yes, his statement was not what YOU thought he first said, but he can only back tract from his position, not from the one YOU THOUGHT was his position.
So in otherwords, you've made up what you think his intentions are, and then you've made up what you think his clarification towards his intentions are? Why not just accept words as they appear? It must be difficult in life to treat everything with such hostile scrutiny.

Where is your righteous indignation when BLM comes out end mass during demonstrations? How many people get close to Trump at rallies? Notice now that its the young getting infected? But as always, your laser-like focus is on one guy not wearing a mask, as you ignore thousands roaming the streets "in the midst of a pandemic," and now causing infection rates to spike.
I was only pointing out that your assertion that trump "desperately wants people to be well" is obviously false without any additional qualifiers. Frankly, I'm surprised that you've even made the claim. I was always under the assumption that trump supporters looked towards his actions rather than his rhetoric. To what do you base your support on when you apparently ignore both?

And again, Trump is not a progressive liberal. He doesn't want to force everyone else into his political opinion. But you do. Don't you guys ever tire of being outraged over everything? How are you able to sustain such a constantly high level of petty outrage?
What a silly thing to say. I think you're confusing discourse with forcing people into political opinions.

I agree that pondering on things that have similar effects as disinfectants do is a good if naive thing.
