why are u a christian?
1. I echo Simon Peter in John 6:68 (Speaking to Jesus), “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life."
2. Eternal life is a gift, so I don;t have to work for it.
2a. Ephesians 2:8,9, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast."
2b. Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
I am a Christian because I want to live forever in Paradise and it's a free gift offered by God through Jesus, therefore I just need to receive it and not work for it. Easy peasy ;-)
What does your approach to fasting look like
In early November my doctor diagnosed me with early-onset diabetes. He prescribed me Metformin. I had read about Intermittent Fasting and decided to implement it along with the Metformin dosage. My Intermittent fasting window is 19/5. I eat at 12 Noon and 4:30PM No snacking and no sugar, but I allow myself to eat what I want, but only a normal size amount. Basically Lunch at Noon and Dinner at 4:30PM. Interestingly the Metformin has helped me with not being hungry. I do consider it sustainable.
Trump or Ron Paul? Why?
If you asked me this in 2016 I would have said Ron Paul, because Trump was an unknown to me. But now that we are 3 years into President Trump's administration, Trump is my choice.
Some reasons for my choice...
1. President Trump is not a politician, that is a good thing.
2. President Trump is arguably the most Pro-Life / Pro Religious Freedom president the U.S. has had in my lifetime. I'm a one-issue voter, Pro-Life, so this is a big deal to me.
3. He assigned conservative judges to the bench. Overturning Roe vs. Wade is a dream of mine.
4. He gets things done. There are only 2 things left on his platform that he has not accomplished yet, building a Southern Border Wall and repealing and replacing Obamacare.
5. His enemies respect and fear him.
6. He has raised good children. (the same could be said for President Obama).
7. He has all but defeated ISIS.
He has one negative side to him, he lacks tact decorum, but I think that is part of his Trump-the-entertainer side.
