Albert was an agnostic then, a bit like myself.

Though Albert was more hirsute.

Deo is a common reference term for an agnostic principle of Universal meaning or purpose.

And not necessarily a reference term for a wild looking hirsute bloke in a dress and sandals.

HaHa.

I just did a quick search and found that there were approximately 280 Elephants in Germany.

There are about 172 in the USA, 22 in Canada and 70 in the UK.

Fucking  immigrants.

No doubt Trump will be deporting the big grey sponging bastards.

The comparative, is relative to the brains tendency to develop an habitual response or dependency to certain stimuli, thereby producing a long term addiction.

We now have a generation or several generations addicted to smartphone connection...Which is no different to heroin, alcohol or nicotine addiction.

The nature of the stimuli might be different, but the effect is the same.

Ratman's joined the RC club and returned.

They are now vying for the role as head of the DebartArt Church of Modern Day Saints.

The worst type of evangelist is a newly converted one.

I hang of the metalwork of the beacon held aloft by the goddess liberty.

I can picture you there.

I standby solitarily in the rural backwaters of the UK.

Should I be called to arms in the defence of liberty as my father was...I would not shirk.

Though I am forty years older than he was.

Trust no one were his watchwords...And so I don't.

Nonetheless, I still have a certain faith in the sensibilities of the British establishment, which allows me to sleep easy.

Yep they're a slick lot, who attract a slick following.

They build a lot of slick new Kingdom Halls and the upper ranks seem to have a propensity for slick cars.

I enjoy engaging on my door step with the foot soldiers (very politely I hasten to add) in theo-philosophical discussions.

They seem rigidly programmed with trite sound bites, which when challenged quite logically, they find difficult and perplexing to expand upon.

At which point they counter by opening their bibles at a pre-set page, pointing to and espousing some hairy fairy illogical waffle.

Further challenge is met with confused looks and retreat.

Well, I guessed it was either sarcasm or satire.

Though I don't know if you sit on the fence or to the left or to the right.

I still don't know.

I would suggest that the very purpose of a Department of Government Efficiency is to autocratically strip a governmental system of waste and inefficiency.

Though in the US's case, I'm not at all sure of the sincerity of the autocratic head.

Fornication.
Is just another sound construct relative to recreational sexual activity.

Marriage is a sound construct applied to a business contract relative to the concepts of monogamy, polygamy pair bonding etc.

Procreation describes the fusing of male and female gametes after sexual activity.

Procreation does not necessarily require a marriage contract, and neither does recreational non-procreational intercourse.

Though some pious folk get into a sweat about it.

I don't think that the central character in the Mangod novels was married to Jesus's mum...Was he?

So rest easy and go have some fun.

So if a sassy young RC woman, suggested half an hour in the sack, would you lash your back with birch twigs?

Two more pages of utter bollocks, centred around the tenuous Middle Eastern mangod hypothesis.

Evolved organisms are compelled by innate messaging to procreate.

Then along came thinking organism, making up all sorts of conceptual stuff.

Like marriage and mortgages and fitted kitchens.

They also decided that sex could  be fun.

Trouble is that some mangoddists with little dicks get jealous, and either try and spoil the party or fuck choirboys in the belfry.

I come to a religion forum, and question the logic of the MANGOD hypothesis.

You come and discuss the comparative trivia of differing theistic organisations...Who wears the best hat and gown sort of thing.

It's the way it goes.

You have recently chosen to join a religious club and wear a badge...Which is no different to me joining a cycle club and wearing the jersey.

Whether or not you want to join my cycle club, is of no interest to me.

Though we both enjoy the freedom to trade ideas on religious and other forums.

And I'm guessing from your unease, that my comments actually scratch an itch of uncertainty.

I would differentiate between the temporarily elected ruling body, and established institutions that administer the organisations and processes of State.

Obviously, all come under the general umbrella of government.

Though the guy down the street who has worked for 40 years as an IRS auditor...Does he govern you, or does he just crunch numbers for a living?

In fact, in the US, almost 20 million people are employed by the State and local governments...Are they necessary, or just thieves who steal your money?

#26...If you say so.

#27...My comment was a general reference to a very lengthy period of species evolution... I think that the cell is typical of all species.

And I'm pretty sure that a GOD didn't throw it all together in a jiffy, a few thousand years ago.

Though I never rule out the hypothesis, whereby a Super-intelligence seeded this planet with basic cellular lifeforms, thereby initiating the process of cellular evolution.

Nonetheless the question that still remains , is where and how did the very first universal cell come into existence.

The magic GOD hypothesis is no doubt convenient, but falls somewhat short of a logical explanation.

And of course a magic hypothesis, doesn't need a GOD anyway.

Maybe.

When I was in the US, I had this dish called biscuits and gravy, what we would probably refer to as scones in white sauce.

Biscuits are generally sweet and crackers generally savoury and a wafer can be either, though all three are texturally different.

Crackers and certain biscuits and wafers are often served with cheese after a meal, generally known as cheese and biscuits.

Bonnet and hood have a certain connection, but I'm not sure why we refer to the trunk as the boot.

Though these days, the boot has largely been superseded by the hatch back.

You are not welcome in this thread.
Not for you to say Mein Fuhrer.

You revile dictators, and then proceed to dictate.

If you cannot tolerate satirical criticism, then perhaps you are suited to such discussions.

Why did God make sex?
Firstly, there is no known GOD, that is known to have made anything.

And sex is the process by which gametes become fused.

Recreational sexual behaviour developed as the species evolved physically and intellectually.

Just as sexual reproduction is an evolved form of asexual cellular division.

Why any of this occurred, and what the outcomes might be, is still anyone's guess.

The Catholic guess is now a bit old hat...But the general GOD principle is still a sound option.

Yep, to a large extent,

Cosmetics make people look different, but not necessarily any better.

Better is an acquired assumption.

To a smaller extent, for some with acquired disfigurements for example, cosmetics will undoubtedly improve wellbeing.

Though you will no doubt say that cosmetics, promote wellbeing in everyone who is now dependent on them...And this is perhaps true...But rather like saying that heroin promotes a temporary sense of wellbeing in heroin addicts.

People who espouse anti-government rhetoric, just seem to think that everything they take for granted, which is everything that facilitates a 21st century existence, just sort of happens as if by magic.

And ask them what is their alternative to a structured governmental system, and they have no answer.
