Exactly, fentanyl is an opioid. Abusing any kind of drug or natural herb can harm you which is why it should be administered by a doctor and not for sale by drug dealers. Even low-dose aspirin can wipe you out if it's abused.

You're right that the chemicals are a creation of people but those chemicals are causing the mass amount of deaths...not the poppy plant.

Heroin is an illegal opioid drug and it's also made from the poppy plant if you didn't already know. It has also been used for pain relief.

This is what is known as national stereotyping, and it leads to gross oversimplifications of large groups of people. What country someone lives in is not at all representative of their character, nor should it ever be taken into account when finding out what someone is like as a person. Also, America doesn't contain only white people, so by using a stereotype of Americans, you are putting Caucasians, African-Americans, Latinos, Asians, etc. into the same group.

That depends. Humans can create compounds by mixing elements. So, we created those and then created the medication. What exactly is your point? Just because one part of the product comes from a plant doesn't mean the whole thing isn't its own creation.

The chemicals are a creation. The poppy plant isn't. When you mix certain quantities of each, you get a new creation. I would argue that heroin is a different product than a pain killer. Wouldn't you? Why is that? Because they created something new by adding to it.
