1. Saudi Arabia Human Rights Violations

Saudi Arabia has one of the worst track records of human rights in the Middle East.

A. Apartheid

Saudi Arabia is nothing short of an apartheid state. Non-Muslims are forbidden from entering Mecca (1), women are segregated and forbidden from going out in public without a male and must sit in segregated cars on public transportation (2).

B. War Crimes

Saudi Arabia has committed significant war crimes through the help of US military alliance. Most recently Saudi Arabia bombed a school bus in Yemen killing 40 innocent children from a bomb that was provided by America (3). It is estimated that over 100 children die every day in Yemen due to the ongoing conflict (4). The Obama and Trump administration sold billions of dollars worth in arms to Saudi Arabia which fuels this deadly and unnecessary conflict (5).

2. Saudi Arabia has consistently sided with America's enemies

Most damming is their constant support for our enemies.

A. 9/11

15 of the hijackers came from Saudi Arabia (6). It is without a doubt that they got their help from the Saudi Arabia government. Brian Schatz notes:

the Saudis refused to give intelligence help to the United States without demanding sensitive information in return that could have damaged sources or intelligence collection. “According to some FBI personnel, this type of response is typical from the Saudis,” the report said. One FBI agent told the committee that “the Saudis have been useless and obstructionist for years.”
B. ISIS

It is apparent that the Saudis are backing and funding ISIS, one of the worst terrorist groups to have ever existed. A recently leaked document shows that the US government knows that the Saudis funded ISIS (7):

We need to use our diplomatic and more traditional intelligence assets to bring pressure on the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to Isis and other radical groups in the region
3. Summary

For the sake of human rights, the US cut needs to cut ties with Saudi Arabia. By continuing to support the Saudis we are supporting the worst crimes in Yemen. By supporting the Saudis we are also continuing to support their atrocious human rights violations. Saudi Arabia has shown consistently that they are not interested in supporting the US militarily.
