"For Holy Mother Church, relying on the faith of the apostolic age, accepts as sacred and canonical the books of the Old and the New Testaments, whole and entire, with all their parts, on the grounds that, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, they have God as their author, and have been handed on as such to the Church herself."
The Bible, Defined - As one can imagine, defining "the Bible" could get tricky. There are, after all, quite a few different versions of the Bible. I don't expect my opponent and I need to agree to a particular version of the Bible in order to have a good debate, so I propose this be our definition of "the Bible": The central holy book of the many denominations of Christianity.
- False, consider the most rational thing God could do regarding the Bible is to enter the info in people's brains or the least he could do is write the bible itself. Both benefit the knowledge of society as there are no confusions, but yet, none is done. I asked God why not erase Evil or enter Bible as the operating system of our brain, no answer. These questions are unanswerable without potential critics. [1] This source explains how, in Christianity, we communicate with God. However, when asked of the most important questions that are unanswerable, this supposed God, who is supposed to enter information upon us, cannot answer this and the author made an excuse, and these questions are left unanswered.
- Creating conflicts. Since there are different versions of the Bible, all translated by different people from different Time periods, conflicts will eventually emerge. Denominations will fight against each other once in a while consider the bible is unregulated in information after the last book is finished.
Matthew 19:26 ESV [2]
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”This quote assumes that God is omnipotent.
- Create a bachelor that is currently married
- Create a minor that was born 100 years ago and still alive
- Create a triangle with 6 sides and 24 angles
- Create a rock that he cannot lift
- Erase Evil on all the worlds and erase sins so we could live a free life without avoiding anything that could send us to the "inevitable hell of sins".
In the second, I argued that a revision of the Bible would actually backfire, in all likelihood reducing the relevance of Christianity by forcing many of its adherents away from the faith.
- Use the One and Only orthodox version, and it will update every time new information with relevance to the topics on the Bible exists. I understand that computers and the internet are needed because too much book printing will be needed, but look at how cheap is a computer now:
- $129.00 is sufficient at surfing the web[4], and it is much more extensive than the one needed for bible updates. One church only needs one, and the whole kit(Projector/ 50'' big display) won't cost anything over $2,000[5]. This is the price of less than an average church organ[6].
- By 2019, 96% of US adults own a wireless phone. 81% of US adults own a smartphone such as the iPhone, etc. Accessing the digital and updating the bible is easy just by 2019[7].
- Outdate the old versions. After finding that one version has more accurate texts, better wordings, etc... More people will be attracted to Christianity(especially that branch) because it is scientifically correct. Then the conservatives will get angry and they will leave, and some others will join that branch because it is completely abashed compared to any others. Christianity will lose its significance if there are no updates because soon some facts will be disproven. A newer version that is correct in every way possible will attract more people into this religion.

This version is the successor of the KJV version. It is considered more literally accurate.
Translations count as revisions considering no two languages has 100% identical translations.
Within the same language, changes happen... English has gone from "Nay, my lord" to "Naw man" in about 500 years...
Because English as a Language will CLEARLY evolve as a language, revising the bible without changing the original meaning will clearly help.
- an error in translation
- He specializes in translation from Danish into English.
- The book loses something in translation.
- The irony is lost in translation.
- He made some minor revisions to the report before printing it.
- a system in need of revision
- a revision of trade policies
- Their educational policies are due for revision.
Pro's main points were that the only way to make the bible unrevised and non-updated is to learn Ancient Hebrew. This take the argument out of context. He also stated that because English and other languages are evolving, revisions should be made to adapt to future English even if there are no major changes in the intended content. However, he continually jumps from this argument to that, and abandoning this argument and that. And he also fails to give an appropriate defence for his translation = revision case. As such, he has not met his BoP, and simply cannot win if he does not do so.
However, he was successful in giving more sources to prove his claims, as opposed to the Contender's few, and the Contender failed to source his claims in round 2.
All other aspects are self-explanatory and unremarkable.

YOUR BIBLE IGNORANT QUOTE AGAIN: “Can you tell me where the bible says women are lesser and where gentiles had to follow old laws?”
As it should be, women are 2nd class citizens within the scriptures, and a few of many examples are herewith:
“Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.” (Ephesians 5:22-24)
“I find more bitter than death the woman who is a snare, whose heart is a trap and whose hands are chains. The man who pleases God will escape her, but the sinner she will ensnare.” (Ecclesiastes 7:26)
Jesus did not like Gentiles, nonetheless, they were to follow the 613 Old Laws of the Old Testament:
“Therefore let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen.” (Acts 28:28)
"And when they arrived and gathered the church together, they declared all that God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles." (Acts 14:27)
When I proffer the correct answers for you AGAIN, because you didn't know them yourself, then I am essentially a Bible Dictionary for you, of which, you can thank me later for this service.

Thank you for not being a religious conservative. I don't want a religious conservative taking this debate because every single of my points will be recycled until it is pure garbage.
Note to both Pro and Con:
I think that a study of Mormonism would be a valuable insight on the revision/update of the bible in modern times.
1. see comment #12. If you believe in the word of God then you must obey him and not change it.
2. Yes.
3. Yes, but thank you for pointing it out. I didn't notice that I'd just said that.
So you:
1. Cannot prove what I ask you to prove and believe that that cannot be proven
2. Are an atheist
3. Can use Sarcasm
Alright, interesting.
"But the word of the LORD endures forever." 1 Peter 1:25
I'm an atheist. That was sarcasm.
The burden of Proof is on you.
You can't update the word of God. It's timeless and will be right forever and ever. Anything otherwise would be blasphemy, unless of course you're commanded by God to do so.
There is an undertone argument that Christianity is relevant.
Can you tell me where the bible says women are lesser and where gentiles had to follow old laws?
Looks like i needed an update. Lol
Sorry, was 2019 https://www.timesofisrael.com/in-the-qumran-cliffs-an-expedition-digs-up-new-dead-sea-scroll-caves/
Like, deleting old content, adding newer relevant content, using newer grammar, etc. I don't want to read a volume of old books with it telling me how women are lesser than men to an extent, or that I couldn't eat certain meat because of how it works instead of what process it undergoes to clean.
Im curious by what you mean by "update" you going to explain that? Because the bible isnt really updated, its still the same scrolls we've been using since the 1980s.
I predict that Melcharaz will appear in this comment section, predictably giving source to the other side.
Could prove to be a very interesting topic.
