Description

-- INTRO --
Ks are extremely controversial because some people consider them to be annoying, and they think that Ks are tactical tools to avoid actually debating. I personally think Ks are necessary tools for debate, and challenging assumptions that would otherwise rarely be questioned. As Pro I will argue that Ks are beneficial for debate, and con will argue the opposite.

-- TOPIC --
On balance, Kritiks are beneficial for debate.

-- STRUCTURE --
1. Constructives (Rebuttals not allowed)
2. Rebuttals
3. Rebuttals
4. Summary (No new points)

-- Rules --
1. Forfeit merits a loss.
2. Citations must be provided. If citations are continuously not provided in any form, this merits a loss.
3. Structure must be followed. An extreme violation merits a loss.
4. Everything else is fair game and if necessary can be debated through theory in round.

When I saw this debate, I was kind of expecting to see that I had already voted on it and had forgotten about it. Apparently not.

Reason:

It is simple. Pro gave everything, arguments, sources, of those you can justify.

On the other hand, Con didn't even justify his only argument: He should win because he is black. In fact we don't even know if he is actually black.

Reason:

Oddly conflicted on this one.

Con was able to incredibly concisely show how K's can be harmful to the spite of debate, and had serious dedication in his follow-up.

That said, at least pro shows that he read con's case. I am voting for pro on the grounds of a Foregone Conclusion (instead of as an FF).

Reason:

The CoC states that a debater who forfeits over half of their rounds falls under a "Full Forfeit" and any case they make should be disregarded.
