- The topic is "THBT racial segregation in public schools should be illegal."
- We are not debating whether or not a law should be illegal, we are debating whether or not passing laws segregation should be illegal. Regardless segregation should in fact be illegal because they violate the civil rights act. In addition, people are endowed with the rights of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness which segregation in public schools would violate. I don't see any argument from Mall against the resolution.
- You can legally pass something that should be illegal, but we are debating whether or not this should be legal, not whether making laws should be legal. Mall has thus not made a case for his position.
