SCHOOL IS POINTLESS

alright, School is boring. THe first thing to note is what it is. School is a place where kids go to learn. However, they teach you 90% of the time. this repetetive teaching, combined with the fact that kids do not get paid is unfair. Kids work hard from 8 to 4 every single weekday unless it is a holiday where I live, and myself, Being a middle schooler fthink that the day is a waste. from my experience, you wake up early in the morning, you eat brekfast,, you bike to school and you sit through 8 hours of classes and nearly lose your entire sense of self. There is holidays, but with the luck that I have, I got covid on winter break, and I just want time. After 4:00 pm, we are set free for 3 ish hours, to do everything that we want to do, and we have to fit in homework. homework is just a waste of the few hours a day you can hang out with your friends. Basically once you learn a basic skillset, most of school you dont learn anything and it is basically unpaid labor. Therefore school is the most pointless thing that I have to do on a dialy basis, even though it takes up most of the time. look back at your middle school career and your high school. on this day you read this, think back to what you learned in school on this day, or this month. did you really learn 8 hours of knowledge each day. If you did learn something, did you ever use it in life. the awnser for most people in my school is NO! and you know what, If we are not learning in school, which my teachers say is the point, it is not really happening.  

People might say that the social aspect of school is what keeps it relavant. the thing is, if we did not have school, we could spend the whole day socialising so that is a good point

A lot of school is repetition, yes. But a lot of adult life requires you to have a basic education and social skills. School provides both.

How can you expect to vote if you don’t even understand the history of the United States or how government works?
