Description

Pineapple belongs on pizza, and if you don't agree, then you have lesser-developed taste buds.

I thank you for this debate, even with your concession. It is already obvious that I will win this debate without needing much of a strong argument. And with the little amount of time, my format will be a little bit on the rough side. I'll try to quickly write this.

Beginning:
This is a debate about whether pineapple should belong on pizza; a controversial debate between many pizza lovers. My position is Con, and I will be arguing that pineapples do not belong on pizza. Whereas Pro will be arguing pineapples belong on pizza.

Argument 1:
Pizza becomes soggy

Canned pineapples are preserved in juices. Straining the pineapples does help decrease the amount of liquid that drenchs the pineapple, but some of it will stay in the pineapple chuncks. This liquid will seep into the dough along with the crust. "Mixing the acidity of pineapple and tomatoes is too much for some, and opposers complain that the juicy chunks make the crust soggy and disrupt the savory profile of biting into a slice." (Salerno Pizzas, 2023)

Argument 2:
Covers other flavors on the pizza

Quite simply, because of the strong and intense flavor of the pizza, it masks the other flavors on the pizza. Other toppings will be unrecognizable on your tastebuds. This can become unappetizing for your tastebuds. "The strong pineapple flavour can mask all other flavours, and you won’t taste the cheese or other toppings." (Review45, 2022).

Conclusion:
Based on these undeniable facts, it is clear pineapples do not belong on pizza.
