Dogs stink. They are big and messy.

They also eat more.

Cat is cute, especially if kitten.

Yeah but not all dogs are smelly, many dogs are smaller than some cats, and they offer real companionship, with studies showing that Dogs can help a childs growth (something cats cannot do).
