Description

Pro: The earth is the globe
Con: The earth is not an globe and is -insert other shape here-

Round 1

I will be basing my argument on 3 things an earth other than a globe could not explain

Why things fall

No other earth shape could explain why things fall since it could not refer to gravity, this reasoning is because gravity would pull it towards the center of itself, making it an sphere [1]

The seasons

No other earth model could explain the seasons, why do things get colder or hotter depending on the year?

Predictions

No models, other than the heliocentric model can make accurate predictions about the location of the sun, moon, etc. This proves it is correct.

The Earth is not an globe.

The Earth is a globe.

That is my position.

Here are arguments as to why Earth is a globe, as presented by my opponent:

"Why things fall

No other earth shape could explain why things fall since it could not refer to gravity, this reasoning is because gravity would pull it towards the center of itself, making it an sphere [1]

The seasons

No other earth model could explain the seasons, why do things get colder or hotter depending on the year?

I thank my opponent for making arguments for my side so that I dont have to.

You do realize I think the earth is a globe right? That's my position.
Con
#4
No.

Your position is that Earth is an globe.

Now, I dont know what is "an globe". It certainly isnt English, so voters should probably just vote for me.

Okay, I think you realize what I meant, you took con position which says "The earth is not an globe and is -insert other shape here-" which means you must represent a different shape than a "globe"

Dont waste people's time

Wrong.

I must present different shape than "an globe"

"a globe" is obviously different from "an globe".

"an globe" isnt even a shape.

Its not my fault that you cant speak English. Like, what the fuck is "an globe"? Is that French?

Are you a French?????

And now you want to correct your mistake by lying and pretending it never happened! Not how it works, boy. Not how it works.
Round 4
Pro
#7
No, you must represent a shape different than just a globe, the word before it does not change what the word after it means.
Con
#8
Sure it does.

Its in plain English.

A globe.

"An globe" might be french, but its not English.

All what I have to do is prove that Earth is not "an globe".

Thats what I have done, because we all know that the correct term for Earth is "a globe", not "an globe".

Now, you might want to be a man and forfeit after making such an obviously incorrect topic.

I dont mind, since its not rated and I can handle a few wins here and there.
Round 5

Again, it says "Globe" it doesn't say 'an globe' in quotations, the word before or after doesnt change the word of the shape

vote pro, con is being factious
Con

It clearly says an globe, as anyone with working eyes can see.

So anyone with working eyes should vote me, because "an globe" is not English. Well, its not any language, and since my opponent didnt translate it for us, it goes that voters should vote me.

To make my non-English speaking friend a little embarrased, he wrote in description:

"The earth is the globe"

As his position!!!

Another grammatical error, because "the" implies that only Earth is globe.

Other planets are globe too, so my opponent is obviously wrong in assuming that only Earth is globe.

This can not be forgiven, no.

Voters, be ruthless!

Show no mercy to my opponent!!!!
