The world produces enough food to feed every single human.

There are multiple reasons as to why people starve in the modern world, but a lack of food on a global scale is not one of them. For example, 30-40 percent of all food is wasted, due to among other things, lack of knowledge and resources to properly preserve food in developing countries, and people in developed countries buying and preparing more food than they are able to consume (1).

Thats actually a common misunderstanding.

The world produces grains. Grains are fed to animals. Then world eats animals.

We have lots of grain, but who wants to eat grain?

And what will cows eat then? Cows are people too.

CON has not disputed that farmers produce enough food to feed 10 billion people. His argument fails, and I will show how. A cow is not a person, but grain is indeed food. We have enough food for every human on the planet. Its true that lots of that food is fed to farm animals, which are very inefficient at converting grain into meat. But CON hasn't shown us that this process reduces the amount of food fit for human consumption to where we can't feed everyone. Furthermore, even if he managed to demonstrate that for us, that wouldn't take away from the fact that the food production of the world is large enough to feed every human. All it would achieve would be demonstrating that the world economy chooses to prioritize meat production over meeting the basic needs of humans. 

That is, we have enough edible food for every human, but we choose to feed farm animals instead of the people. This is not a point in CON's favor. 

So eat grains and let cows starve?

Really? Do we really want to do that?

Do we really want to eat grains instead of tasty meat?

Grains arent food. They taste like shit.

And cows are people. They have brain and everything.

To summarize, we have enough food production to support the entire human population and then some. The reason people starve is that not all food is preserved, rationed and distributed correctly. Lots of it is wasted, ruined or simply fed to farm animals instead of humans. Food production is not the bottleneck. CON has not disputed any of this. He claims grain isn't food and that cows are people, which is obvious bullshit. 

In conclusion, the resolution holds true, and CON has failed to adequately contest this. Vote PRO. 

As I said, if you eat grains, cows starve. Cows are people. So no, we dont have enough food for all.
