Private universities should co-exist with public ones

My first argument is based on the diversity of options available should the motion I am proposing be put into effect.

My constructive case considers students of low as well as high income.

Firstly, students of low income can go to public universities free of charge and if they are exquisite students they can obtain financial aid to attend private universities.

A student of high income that is not that good of a student can pay to go a low tier private university and therefore not be deprived of university education whereas if he’s good enough he can pay for a top-tier private university.

In this way, every student has a right to education and students are assessed purely on academic results.

Furthermore, students no matter their income have the opportunity to choose schools that fit their preferences in terms of cost, location and many other factors and not be restricted to the options offered by exclusively private or public universities

My second argument concerns the allocation of ressources as well as the distribution of teachers and students. In the system i propose, ressources and new information mainly scientific can be distributed among both private and public universities and not be reserved to one side. Through this way, there is equal access to information and student have equal access to all new discoveries and information. On the other hand, public universities which are currently at full capacity, can distribute their students to other universities. This also applies for teachers and staff in general because if they are not satisfied with their current working conditions they can simply apply to work at the private universities and potentially be paid more. To sum up, the coexistence of private and public universities benefits the overall management of university education in terms of information as well as everyone involved in it
