Description

To prove that viruses don't exist. Answer these logic questions -

1. How did the first person to see a virus know that it was a virus without any references as to what a virus looks like?
2. How do viruses find their host if they have no legs, arms, eyes, ears, brains, sense of touch or means of locomotion?
3. How can something that is dead, suddenly come to life?
4. How can viruses survive in the atmosphere and sunlight without any walls for protection? (very fragile)
5. How does a entity (virus) that kills its host pass on its genes and what does it gain by killing the host?
6. If viruses are proteins, then why don't small insects like ants find them and eat them all?

I have been forced to duplicate this debate because there are a couple of obnoxious conscientious objectors who keep accepting and not replying to this debate. Note - This is how a corrupt system protects itself.

Anything can exist.

If this is countered by the answer 'anything can exist except a thing that can't exist', then this concedes that conceptual things (such as something that can't exist) exist, as concepts. If concepts exist, the concept of a virus means that it exists anyway.

Checkmate, I await your Round 2.

A computer virus, much like a flu virus, is designed to spread from host to host and has the ability to replicate itself. Similarly, in the same way that viruses cannot reproduce without a host cell, computer viruses cannot reproduce and spread without programming such as a file or document.

In more technical terms, a computer virus is a type of malicious code or program written to alter the way a computer operates and that is designed to spread from one computer to another. A virus operates by inserting or attaching itself to a legitimate program or document that supports macros in order to execute its code. In the process a virus has the potential to cause unexpected or damaging effects, such as harming the system software by corrupting or destroying data.

It's not just biological viruses that exist, but computer viruses do as well.

Your smart - alec - You should take his advise about computer viruses. Its the sneaky way to win which would suit your style and its probably your only real chance of winning. lol

English errors made:

"Your smart" (should be you're smart)

"Advise" (should be advice)

"its" meaning 'it is' instead of "it's"

"lol" lowercased acronym, following a period/full-stop

He can have his avatar be whatever he wants.

correction - His avatar can be whatever he wants it to be. Ahhh...... at last. Some decent English. Very rare on this site. lol

English errors made:

There was no need to extend the sentence. "Whatever he wants" includes whatever he wants it to be.

"Some decent English" should have been "That is some decent English."

Either a semicolon should follow this with "very rare on this site" being a barely grammatically correct continuation or a comma with 'which is a very rare thing on this site.' should have followed.

If my opponent brings any new points and/or evidence in the final Round it is still bad conduct but entitles me to do the same back (I must, in order to rebuke).
