Abortion – A Difficult Choice, Not a Crime
Abortion happens for many reasons. 

Why Abortions Happen:
  • A couple may have had unprotected intercourse due to lack of awareness or resources.
  • The developing foetus may show signs of severe genetic disorders.
  • The couple’s mindset might change after conception — financially, emotionally, or mentally they may feel unprepared.
  • Some couples may already have children and cannot afford to raise another.
Should Abortion Be Banned?
I strongly disagree with banning abortion completely. Let me explain why.

1. Medical Reasons – When Abortion Is Mercy, Not Murder
If a foetus is diagnosed with cruel genetic diseases , its survival chances are very low. In some cases, continuing the pregnancy could risk the mother's life too. If the foetus dies inside the womb, it can endanger both lives — the mother’s and the child’s.
Also, raising a child with such critical conditions brings immense emotional, financial, and physical stress to the entire family. Though abortion may seem harsh, in this context it is not a murder — it is a graceful release from lifelong pain and suffering.
"Abortion is a grace murder."

2. Change in Mindset – Reality Over Idealism
Sometimes couples realize they are not ready — due to financial instability, emotional immaturity, or life circumstances. Maybe they already have 2 or 3 children and cannot provide a good life for another.
Even a mistake like forgetting protection can lead to pregnancy. But forcing a couple to go ahead with an unwanted pregnancy can result in a neglected child, increased poverty, and mental trauma for both the parents and the child.
In such situations, abortion is not an escape — it's a responsible decision to prevent future suffering.

Abortion is not about killing a soul.
It’s about preventing unwanted stress for both the unborn and the family.
Sometimes, it’s better to say goodbye now and give life a better chance later.
