I am very sad about accident of air India plane killed 200 + lives, I am feeling still air transport is not safer.

Airplane is not just a vehicle , It is a dream for people in early 90s .

"HUMANS CAN'T FLY FOR MILLION YEARS"- This is told by new York times in 1903 ,Back in October 1903, The New York Times published an editorial titled “Flying Machines Which Do Not Fly” that boldly claimed humanity would never see an operational flying machine for “from one million to ten million years”—or until we evolved wings or some mythical breakthrough.

Just 69 days later, on December 17, 1903, the Wright brothers achieved the first powered, controlled, heavier-than-air flight at Kitty Hawk—effectively rendering the NYT’s million‑year claim comically wrong.

Air transport:

Air transport is a dream for several middle class people in India , and it is expensive. I not used air transport like majority. Today air transport is the only quickest way to connect countries and long distances. It reduced time to travel. Which is the major reason for today's world advancement.

Also air transport is being used by most people nowadays , though we reached huge advancement in air transport , we are luxurious in flight now., But whether we can say air transport is 100% safe.

Air transport is not safe:

In this world neither transport is not 100% safe like cars , trains. But I want to say Air transport is not safer for many reasons.

In other means of transport , accident is due to human mistake 99% times. When we go too much speed in car we met with accident, or when other car comes with high speed. But these accidents are 100% controllable or predictable. But in means of planes major crashes are due to technical mistakes other than humans. We can't predict any accidents in flight . In land transport there is no major role of climate in accident . whereas in plane things can change any second. This makes planes more scarier .
Also in other transports , when we met with accident , there is a high percentage to survive . but almost in plane crashes all passengers in that plane will die.
When there is accident in land transport , there will be only a few life losses because there is chance for person to escape, but in planes the loss of life per single accident is very high . We can't survive by our own.

.We must make air transport safe, there should be a chance to survive when we met with accident because accidents can't be zero. In next rounds I say about some real life planes accidents.

I don't fully understand this debate are you saying that "Air transport isnt safer from what it was in the past?" Cause if so then I would win from the start due to the fact that air transport is obviously safer then what it was when they first made it. For example a modern plane is 100% safer then the first plane ever made by the Wright brothers in 1903 because we have made huge advancements in technology which you said.

But if the debate is "Air transport is not the safest way to travel." Then your still wrong. If you were to read any article on this topic you will clearly see that a "Car" is the deadliest way to travel causing the deaths of 40k a year and a train on the other hand is causing only 1,000 a year. But if you really do your research you wouldnt even think to do this debate because you would see an Airplane or any aircraft in general is safer then any other option. Just take a look at this, "In 2021, there were 176 deaths caused by air crashes. This translates to about 1 in 11 million people dying in a plane crash. "

Since the start of 2025 "188" people have died in a plane crash on the other hand "28,190" have lost their lives in motor vehicle accidents. And I dont know if my eyes deceive me but that a HUGE GAB. Even trains have 995 deathes since the start of 2025 JUST IN THE USA ALONE. and thats serious numbers.

Pros claims are highly suspect without sources,
And many of their claims run counter to what seems to me common sense.
Climate for example, can play a large role in car crashes and being stranded, ice, snow.

I get that more people have died in cars and trains, but I'd figure more people use cars and trains?

Con didn't directly counter Pro's arguments, though arguably they were largely addressed by Cons argument that statistically less people have died from flying in recent years.
Con did have 'a source.
Both sides seem to have forfeited a bit.
Legibility hurt Pro a bit I think, though they clarified the title in the comments.
I also think their grammar could improve a bit, though I can only speak 'one language myself, and even in English, my grammar isn't great.

Opinion
I think Con is right, and that planes are currently generally safer.
Perhaps because of how regulated and monitored they are by companies, rather than individuals.

I would change sentences such as
"In this world neither transport is not 100% safe like cars , trains. But I want to say Air transport is not safer for many reasons."
to
In this world neither cars nor trains are 100%. But I want to say Air transport has many reasons it is less safe.

And again, I've poor grammar, but I think Pro's grammar still harms their arguments some.
