This one isn't a mark against Biden. Far from it.

Iran has spent years building a paramilitary network in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen, and is using it to punish the West for Israel's Gaza offensive. This would've happened regardless of who was president; what's important is that Biden responded in a timely manner. Given that the Houthis have since doubled down on their attacks, I hope that more airstrikes follow.

At least Bush had the decency to put it to a Congressional vote.

What if it were a nuclear attack? Would you expect Biden to sit passively at his desk and twiddle his thumbs for two or three weeks while he waited for the surviving members of Congress (holed up in some other bunker) to approve a retaliatory strike?

Biden ramped up pressure on the Houthis basically asking for a war long before the strikes.

There's no reason not to call an emergency session. Especially as the war escalates.

He predicts many things to increase chances of being right in one. Kinda like those fortune tellers, but he is a misfortune teller.

Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 of the U.S. Constitution grants Congress the power to declare war. The President, meanwhile, derives the power to direct the military at all times, whether or not there is a formal declaration of war, from Article II, Section 2, which names the President Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces. The President’s constitutional powers are quite broad in the context of limited military action. Additionally, courts have long upheld the President’s right to be the sole voice of the nation, in charge of conducting our foreign policy. In general, constitutional powers are not so much separated as "linked and sequenced"; Congress's control over the armed forces is structured by appropriation and provision, while the President commands all military forces.

I doubt non-Democrats are as  war-mongering as you guys are at starting wars all around the world.

Tyranny of the minority.

I would hope the Congress expands on the 1973 Resolution and makes it illegal to fund proxy wars without Congressional approval.

Just signing an omnibus is not enough. Congress needs to be held accountable for the death and destruction caused by supporting global wars. I am sure if Congressmen were forced to put a yay or nay for approval of any of the many proxy wars going on right now, none of the wars would be happening.

Why do you keep posting this stupid show? The guy has no idea what he's talking about, but at least arguing with you makes more sense after seeing where you get your information from.

One of the most warmongering presidents ever.
Right, the guy who finally ended the longest war in our nations history. And what wars did he start again?

And what wars did he start again?

I didn't  mean to claim he started wars in the traditional sense, only that he supported global wars.

In the case of Yemen, it was inevitable that they would retaliate when we send billions of dollars to help wipe them out. That's on Biden.

There was a time when Biden was elected on the lie that he would end the war in Yemen.

We know better now, and the polls reflect it.

When Trump authorizes 100 billion to support global wars, that will be the end of him. Bigly.

He already has the Donbas. Putin doesn't require USA 's permission. He also doesn't need the USA's permission to end the war; but Zelensky does, apparently.

Trump already promised to end the Donbas war on day one. That means a promise to stop funding global wars and making peace.

Do you ever read the sources you cite?

"In foreign policy, perception can be reality, and at some point, US support for Israel will be seen as active participation. It may not matter that the US is not directly involved, or that Biden has taken steps to try to reduce the toll, or that a President Donald Trump would likely be putting no restraints on Israel, much as current Republican candidates have called for."

How ironic. You are demonstrating the exact disregard for reality in your perceptions that the article is talking about.

Biden supports that global war as well.
Do you have anything other than a source saying the opposite to back that claim up?

Right, just like he would have negotiated a peace deal to avoid the Civil War.

The problem is that Trump isn't authorizing billions of dollars in aid to slaughter Palestinians. When he does that, then we can talk.

Do you have anything other than a source saying the opposite to back that claim up?

Just how many Billions will it take for you to admit Biden supports global war?

Trump claimed everyone was happy in the middle east because of his great deals that favored Israel. Looks like the Palestinians weren’t so happy.

This is his fault.

That’s because he doesn’t know what he is talking about, like most Libertarians.
