Republicans see blocking more funding for the IRS as a sort of win. This is short term stupid thinking that only seeks to pander to the wealthy portion of their voters. You know, the portion of their voters that no longer have control of the party.

The tax code is not changed by denying them man power. Perhaps there is some delusion that tax code won't be enforced with a lack of funding, bit there is something of more concern here.

Every year the United States government and citizens lose possibly billions in tax return fraud. There is a delicate balance with computer systems that help people with tax returns because tech savvy 20 year Olds and 95 year old grandma's must be able to complete their taxes on the IRS system.

This means authentification that stops fraudsters is just could be equally as effective at stopping grandma from getting her tax return.

The IRS is underfunded. It can't fight tax frauds done by for example possibly Ukranian hackers that use unsuspecting American citizens to help them steal money from people expecting refunds.

So as good as it may feel to "stick it to the man" and keep the IRS running on a skeleton crew, it harms tax payers and national security.  Unless you are going to completely overhaul the tax system, it makes no sense to block this thing just to pander to people who not only will vote for you anyway, but are also very inclined to listen to the national security argument in favor of a better funded IRS.

Pool discusses the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine, highlighting the divisive nature of the issue. He mentions the polarization and shifting alliances within the culture war, with former allies becoming enemies. Pool criticizes the left for supporting Palestine without fully understanding the situation on the ground, particularly the challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community in the region. He also touches on the Anti-Defamation League's refusal to call out Black Lives Matter despite concerns over statements by its founders. Pool argues that both the left and right are deeply entrenched in their positions on the Israel-Palestine conflict with no room for nuance. Pool expresses his frustration with individuals on both sides who are pushing for censorship, intervention, or taking extreme positions based on little information or heavily modified narratives. He emphasizes that war is a terrible and complex issue, with no easy solutions.

Pool criticizes the ADL for not acknowledging its role in exacerbating the conflict and for failing to address concerns about Black Lives Matter's stance on Israel. He argues that the conflict is exposing the hypocrisy of various woke institutions. Pool advocates for the U.S. to stay out of regional conflicts and focus on domestic issues. He stresses that people are entitled to their opinions and that tweeting at him won't change that.

Takeaways:

1) The Ukraine war has cost every USA household an average of 900 dollars.
2) Most polled Americans say we are sending way too much to Ukraine.
3) Peace talks are happening now without Zelensky's input as little progress is made on the counteroffensive.
4) Russians are not getting pushed out of the Donbas.
5) Neocons stand by the investment in weapons suppliers as an investment in America.

Joe Biden, famous for being the son of a used car salesman, has lost massive support within his own party as Israel shells refugee camps full of Palestine civilians.

His current policy plan is to reward Israel with billions and also station American troops in the Gaza strip.

This will probably go down as a worse blunder than Afghanistan, and there's no blaming Trump out of this one for poor old Joe.

Just when the Trump haters thought they had no hate left to give, it seems there's plenty to go around. Joe Biden being the main recipient lately.

Seems like Joe forgot to protect minorities again.

This is ironically going to seal the deal for Joe, no more trips and falls needed at this point.

Just thought I would appeal to Republicans by using an authority figure that all Republicans respect.

This will surely work.

Quick rundown.

1) Adams planned a trip to the WH to publicly ask Biden for relief funds to help with Biden's migrant invasion.
2) Biden takes a page out of the DOJ weaponization playbook and shakes the Mayor down.
3) Mayor then cancels the trip.

Gotta love these turf wars between fellow Democrats.

Chief Joseph announced his surrender with the following poignant words.

I am tired of fighting. Our chiefs are killed....The old men are all dead....It is cold and we have no blankets. The little children are freezing to death. My people, some of whom have run away to the hills, and have no blankets, no food; no one knows where they are--perhaps freezing to death. I want to have time to look for my children and see how many of them I can find. Maybe I shall find them among the dead. Hear me, my chiefs. I am tired; my heart is sick and sad. From where the sun now stands I will fight no more forever.

One can only imagine the garbage Trump and his MAGA nativist tribe will say when they are all replaced with brown people from every other nation on the globe, replacing all Americans of every skin color.

Karma? Or just desserts!

The current salary for a US congressman is around $175,000 dollars. Each Representative represents close to a million people. The average salary of a CEO at a fortune 500 company is 16.7 million dollars.

I propose to raise the salary of Congress to 20 million dollars a year with the provision that they must have term limits.  The President will have a salary of 50 million. I base this off of the 400 million dollars Barack Obama accumulated from kickbacks during his 8 years as president.

Here are the reasons:
1) It would be a very small part of the national budget. 10 Billion dollars a year for the salary of Congress is definitely doable.
2) It would make it much harder for a lobbyist to purchase a politician.
3) It would attract much more competition and a higher quality of candidates for the job.

When asked on advice for the incoming speaker, old Joe laid out this gem. For a sitting president with such currently ridiculously low approval ratings, this performance, or lack of, doesn't seem to improve his future prospects.

Here are the top comments on Biden's quips:

1) My grocery bill, just like my gas bill, has nearly DOUBLED in the past three years. This president is INSANE.

2) I still can't get over him creating Trump's campaign slogan. Trump, because Bidenomics.

3) Now it's Trump's fault we don't have a wall, that is the new grift. (Biden is now bragging about finishing Trump's wall)

4) Damn, this is so embarrassing for our country. I'm torn between laughter and tears. When America is in chaos, the world becomes chaos...

5) "That's above my pay grade." I'm sure that his handlers would agree with that statement, even though it shouldn't be.
