Здравствуйте и добро пожаловать в Русскую Мафию! As is typical, each DP will last 72 hours, or until a majority of players have voted have placed their vote on the same player (or voted to no-lynch). If the DP times out without a majority being reached, the day will end without a lynch.

Rules:
  1. No copy-pasting your role PM or pretending to do so. Paraphrase it instead.
  2. No use of generative AI to paraphrase your role PM for you.
  3. No editing or deleting posts.
  4. No conversing about the game outside of the DP threads or any approved chats.
  5. No liking posts after dying.
  6. No ciphers or cryptography.
  7. I reserve the right to add in additional rules as necessary to keep the game fair.
Additional Information:
  • All characters in this game are real people from Russian/Soviet history. There is a theme split, meaning that all mafia characters have something in common not shared by any of the town characters. There is a fakeclaim mechanic in play, as well.
  • There may or may not be mechanics in play which punish claiming characters and/or roles, so claim at your own risk!
  • The town wins when all threats to the town are eliminated. The mafia wins if, at the start or end of any game phase, the number of living mafia players is greater than or equal to the number of living non-mafia players. There may also be one or more third party players in the game, in which case they will have their own unique win conditions and may either joint win with another team or win independently.
  • Your role PM may refer to MYLO/LYLO. MYLO is when the number of living town players outnumbers the mafia by only two players; LYLO is when the town outnumbers the mafia by only one. (Third parties are counted with town for the purposes of determining parity and MYLO/LYLO.) Votes are locked in at LYLO, meaning that once a vote is cast on a LYLO day, it cannot be removed or changed to another player, so be careful! I will announce when a day is a MYLO/LYLO day. Any and all remaining voting/lynching roles will be deactivated on MYLO/LYLO days.
  • This is a "role madness" game, meaning that most, if not all players have a role other than Vanilla Town/Mafia Goon.
  • I will not answer questions in-thread, except to give a time check or a vote count. Please direct all other questions to me over PM. Generally speaking, I will not answer questions about roles other than your own. This includes questions about hypothetical roles. Questions about 'flipped roles', on the other hand, are generally okay.

hi, I am a person who almost destroyed Russia because he is a pro western faggot. Just wanted to soft claim my character real quick, pro western beta male who bends the knee to globo-homo.

I am not scum despite being some globohomo puppet. I don't know the theme split but perhaps globohomo puppets are all town while scum is Good Russians like Putin and HItler for the short period of time he occupied the area.

I'll soft claim as well. My character was involved in finance and tried (it looks like unsuccessfully) to promote peace in different areas. I hope this isn't too specific, but if it is, it probably doesn't matter. My character alone doesn't give away too much.

I posted your hint into chat GPT and told it to guess. I put mine in there and it told me it was a content violation, but then I edited it and it listed 3 or 4 potential people and mine was in the list but not at the top of what was guessed, so I guess I am reasonably safe

Yeah… I’m not doing the hints thing without good reason this game.

Anyway, checking in. At my wife’s concert this afternoon, but I’ll be around for much of the day. Russian history isn’t my strong suit despite half of my family hailing from there. I’ll try to keep up.

Yeah, I agree with WF, not really feeling the hints this game. I need to do some research on Russian history to get a sense of any possible theme spilt or perhaps any possible fake claims mafia might have.

I am going to go with an "Honesty is the best policy approach here" and tell you all that when I looked up my role, it seems its commonly aligned with the mafia. That said I am town. My role is provable and I will try to use it in a way I feel is as pro town as possible. Because I think it could add value to town, I would prefer to really not have to claim it on the principle of it being scummy. Please just trust me.

That's a lot of WIFOM you are selling... However based on your experience in the last game, I have a hard time believing you would want to bring the spotlight on yourself for no reason, so I buy it for now. If your behavior is consistent.

Good evening all, I'm back once more. Unfortunately have to echo that I'm not stellar at Russian history (or any kind of history, really.)

I'm debating whether or not to hand Savant an early town lean off that claim. It kind of feels like figuring out the character would have been inevitable with how specific the hint was.

Hm... For a moment I misunderstood and thought you meant your character was Mafia-aligned. But your role- this isn't a Miller claim, right?

The last game I was in I was scum read for scum reading vader who was basically claiming a 3rd killing role on top of like two other killing roles plus my role which was a killing role, so I got lynched for it, and selected to kill vader with my role which activated on being lynched, and people were really mad at just me for some reason, even though they were also wrong about me. Idk I somehow got all the blame for it. Basically we were all wrong, and two town died for it, and it was all my fault I guess.

Honestly I don't blame you too hard for that, it was your lesson learned in "Never assume a mod would or wouldn't do something" Sometimes mods balance in crazy ways, and that game was an example of that. Behavior over role assumptions.

Did you know? In 1698, Tsar Peter I (Peter the Great) instituted a tax on beards as part of his reforms, even allowing the police to publicly shave men who refused to pay the tax.

Also, with 11 players, it takes 6 votes to reach a majority. I meant to put that in the OP. Probably goes without saying, but I always include that info regardless.

Yeah, weak townreads on both Savant and Banana at this point, the former because he essentially gave up his character claim while trying to give a soft claim, and the latter because I don't think she'd try this as scum, at least not based on my experience on a scum team with her. That was admittedly a while back, but this still seems unlikely for her.
