"The question is....can you do anything without money?" - Mall #1
Kind of maybe.
There's a lot f activities that don't need money in 'themselves,
'Some 'few places one can barter,
A number of primitive tools one can make oneself.
A person can have a garden without money, but the more diversity of garden one wants without 'buying the seeds, more effort it'll take,
To find someone willing to accept barter of items or services, or to find the plant or seed in the wild.
Problem though, is I'm pretty sure 'land usually costs money these days, and can be stolen by the government if you don't give them US currency.
'Maybe some loopholes, but I'm not a lawyer.
. . .
One 'could live a homeless lifestyle, or find someplace to 'hide their home illegally,
Foraging and hunting 'might be possible in 'some locations, depending on environment and population density.
Same with soup kitchens and begging.
Hard though, I'd imagine.
. . . Might also have to 'technically 'pay money for a fishing or hunting license, now that I think about it.
"Is there really nothing that is not at a cost?" - Mall #1
Well, Law of Equivalent Exchange, I suppose.
Can't even move our body without it costing 'fuel of some sort, food, water.
'Lot of materials in US, 'do cost US paper Currency though.
'May be some loopholes, such as gathering fallen branches.
"This includes things that are "free of charge", right?" - Mall #1
Well, I assume charity meals at some churches are free, not counting whether they give you a sermon first or not.
Though it probably costs 'them US Currency to put the meals together.
"Is taxation theft of your moolah?" - Mall #1
I think so, but bit difficult to put together a powerful lasting country 'without taxes and various means of control 'maybe.
"Is the dollar worth more than your life?"- Mall #1
Well the 'concept and 'system maybe.
If I was 'starving though, and didn't have money, I might find immediate food worth more. Even if it meant breaking the law.
'Lot of technology and society only 'exists due to dollar system though maybe.
I suppose it 'might be nice if some land was set aside for people to live 'without dollar system, but I imagine there is always something of value.
Herders and Nomads often owned animals, owned land.
'Sure some people say you can't own the land, but I bet various nomadic people's have killed other nomadic peoples to have the ability to nomad over there, or have somewhere with 'just them.
. . . The people living without the Dollar System, might end up dying a lot more,
Dollar probably pays for a lot of medicine, hospitals, police stations, fire stations, public safety regulations, roads, education.
