Okay so maybe we pulled the trigger a little too fast on wylted. PIe had made a convincing case though, so I figured it wylted was probably going to be scum. Sorry wylted...

Earth was a weird night kill choice.

That said obviously we shouldn't quick vote today. And I think everyone else needs to full claim if they haven't, basically lunatic and mikal. Lunatic says he can confirm mikal, but we need to know how. Pie is silenced so obviously he cannot claim, and I am guessing that means he is probably town, because mafia wouldn't silence themselves.

Mharman is confirmed.

The last two scum are probably lunatic and mikal, but I am willing to hear their claims and we can take this one a little slower than last day phase.

Here is my full claim paraphrased to the best of my ability. 

You are Clostridia! You are a set of spore-accumulating microbes that are most often found in the dirt/earth and are particularly well known for your pathogens. That’s because Clostridia have some of the most pungent toxins on the planet, some of which have even been re-used as treatments for everything from craggly skin. You have easily spreadable species, with the two most dangerous being Clostridium botulinum (botulism)  and Clostridium tetani (tetanus). Since these two species are known to spread easily, you are investigative inventor. You have a 1x gift of a botulism, and a 1x gift a tetanus you may give out to a player during the game. Both of these are investigative abilities, but you will not be told which is which. You win with the town.

Night phase one I sent earth a gift of botulism, which was apparently a 1x justice. 

I will withhold for now who I gave the second gift to, in case they want to do some questioning before revealing any potential results. I have no clue what ability they received from tetanus. 

Also Night Phase 1 I received a message saying "you have been visited by your friendly neighbor mikal, who is affiliated with the town." So that is what I meant by being able to town confirm someone. A few people picked up on that already, but yeah, hes town in my book.

POE leaves exactly what wylted was saying before. Pie and banana. And yes I do think pie silenced himself, mafia have no real reason to silence him if he was town, he would be one of the biggest mislynch targets for them at this point. Silencing himself accomplishes two things in his mind: 

1. It gives him town cred (he thinks)

2. It gives him yet another day to delay claiming, which if he gets a mislynch today, he basically won the game without ever having to claim. 

I regret not forcing a mass claim yesterday before voting for wylted. There was no reason for everyone not to have full claimed at that point.

Anyways, yeah POE is banana/pie. I am willing to hear everyone thoughts and we can discuss this as normal, but game is solved from my pov.

Earth’s flip looks familiar. In Castlevania Mafia, another player was vanilla as an excuse to hide a negative utility ability.

Fun fact: The idea came from me when I was reviewing the setup for that game. For whatever reason, early versions of that game’s setup were heavy on negative utility. I felt like that would just lead to too many townies SOP claiming, so I suggested he make one of those abilities hidden from the player. I don’t remember how many negative utility roles actually made the final version of that setup, but I do remember it had a hidden sleepwalker.

Perhaps Earth’s hidden ability is the same thing again- or something similar, given the whole “You have a nasty habit of getting to the wrong places” thing.

Alr cool that’s game. It’s Mikal and Lunatic.

I got the gift last night, and it was a tracker. I tracked Pie, and he visited me.

I thought about the possibility of Pie visiting me for another reason, but then I saw he was silenced. Then I saw Lunatic’s claim.

To top it all off, Lunatic used his real characters/ability names. Tetanus is infamously known by the nickname “lockjaw,” and a quick google search revealed botulism’s association to freezer as well.

From there it was just a matter of who the teammate was, which is why I faked sussing Mikal over some bullshit to bait him into thinking I didn’t have gift.

I did, so this is a CC of Mikal, coming from the guy who is town confirmed.

There were small behavior cues but I don’t think it’s worth getting into at this point. This is over.

Another interesting fact. We tend to think of bacteria and viruses getting more deadly or dangerous as they evolve, but some actually appear to get weaker, or at least induce death less readily. Case in point: Syphilis. It used to go through several stages of development in the body leading to some nasty neurological issues that you hear about from famous past rulers, but it almost never does that anymore. It’s adapted to humans in a way that makes it less noticeable.
