It did drop that far. You were here with BSH1 and saw how active and superior debaters were. Do you not remember?
It’s true I have no clue if moderation had anything to do with it but not that long ago I looked at old forum threads and debates and it was a lot more active and high quality than I remembered.
One thing I’ve thought from the beginning was so many people changing their name from DDO was a huge mistake. It’s good that the new site has its own identity etc but that evaporated a lot of social connections from day one.

Proposition 2: Rebranding the site
It's a necessary step to rebrand this site, congratulations for this decision. I'd suggest "DebateandForum.com" because I guess this website will keep the Forum section, right? I don't debate here but I enjoy discussing relevant news and topics in the forum.

It'd be good if you clear this up. How do you know what is excessive or vulgar?
Considering what some users already said, I think there should be complete freedom to use the language we are more confortable with, at least in the forum where we discuss in an informal way. I like to write like I speak, dropping some words that certain people might consider "bad", like sh¡t, bullsh¡t or fvk, because it's part of the common language, as long as it's not used for attacking or insulting. Who don't use these words? Everybody uses it because it allows to emphasize some ideas we want to get across. Just look at the most popular podcasts in youtube, it's plenty of these marvellous words.
Proposition 4: New features
- Be able to add images and videos on posts (youtube, X, Instagram, tik tok, etc).
- Improve tagging users, maybe using autocomplete text to find the username more easily because sometimes we have to check how to spell. And tagging should work in the comments, not just in the mentions box.
- Automatic signature for our posts.

I agree that those who are repeat offenders, after being warning for commonly known derogotory name calling or many variations of such, should get warning of an impending ban, to whatever degree.

We need a comprehensive list for the new word filter. I know in public with my wife. When we bitch about blacks we just say "Canadians" so that we can continue talking about them even when they are near by.
So maybe ban any reference to Canada or canadians
Also I thought we took porch monkey back. Is it a black thing again?
So like in the grocery aisle we might say "look at the sale on watermelons. Don't let Canadians know watermelon is cheap here, we'll have to find a new grocery store"
Or maybe we say "I would never cheat on you with a Canadian I don't care how big their dicks are you need to be worried about your brother or best friend"

Just a complete rebrand. Like DebateScape, DebateOwl, DebateThingy, MasterDebater.com (masterbater for short).
People continue to have issues with the arts and crafts themes apparently.
I like debatecraft.com, myself.
I am probably going to quit the site because it has allowed users to abuse others by using rules and overmoderation.
