There is one more thing I want to add to this MEEP: Should debates that are full forfeited on all sides be deleted?
Seems like an issue unworthy of a site vote..
They are needless bloat. Like the dictionary hidden in DDO to inflate the page count to make the site look big. If not getting rid of them, we might as well start not getting rid of spam threads.
P.S. I do get rid of them when I see them.

I assume this is related to the new voting system proposal…
I agree many things should be penalized. A mature voter can factor those into the mitigation factor when voting in their favor. The majority of voters will be instantly biased against them for forfeitures, making winning any points an uphill battle. And a really immature voter will no longer be able to award extra points for their amazing conduct while forfeiting (rare but it’s happened).
A related suggestion I’ve made elsewhere, is to have the site itself penalize forfeitures automatically. I envision this as a minor deduction (maybe 0.25 points per forfeiture?), which voters may easily outweigh with their votes should they deem the arguments better in spite of that… Actually, that too should be a proposal (no guarantee the dev team can make all things we agree on happen, but getting site agreement on directions to push should be helpful to them).

I think debates with many forfeits are 'usually done by, new for a day and gone, users.
Punishment might lose a bit of it's 'effect, in such cases.

There is now: loss of Conduct point, but that is only void in Mulriple-Criteria debates. Winner selection is void of any consideration but win/lose. Some with make winner selection an automatic loss for even one round forfeited. I do not agree with that assessment unless forfeited round[s] amount to a greater percentage of all rounds.

Dear David,
The idea you have of splitting up the community won't work how you believe it will.
This may seem to contradict my behaviour a lot but a house divided will fall, it can only stand united.
The reality is either you must declare the libertarians rulers here (which is how it is right now) or you must oust them and enable (if not lead) the revolution. You are pushing against WFs old style with recent bans. I can tell deep down you are not on the same side as him.
You are correct to value unity but will it last? Splitting us up is a cute idea. DDO did exactly that especially with the religion subforum. I have seen many sites try this. It fails. The truly united ones conquer and thrive.
1 dictator. 1 version of the law of the site/community to adhere to. 1 way or get out.

As a neutral observer who keeps witnessing these site political spam protests by the same guy, I'm going to encourage you guys to ignore him.
In-fact don't even entertain his nonsense. Keep any conversations about the leadership hierarchy between you two. Any differences of opinion that are openly expressed will show weakness and incentivize him to keep up this same crap.
The same guy who keeps advocating for this needs to be tamed, so he can respect the true chain of command instead of constantly undermining it.
