Hmm... You may be right. That said, is there a specific harm in popcorn claiming? Any reason to think a certain state might be a power role, or mafia?
I personally can't think of any particular way just based off of my pm to identify power roles so I would not be dead set against a mass claim if several others wanted to do so this DP, so if it is what the town wants I will go with it. I would rather wait until next DP though unless you have some other reason for wanting one immediately, give some time for info gathering roles to do their work.

My instinct is to believe Croc and sus TUF
That would be like trading a queen for a pawn. It doesn't make sense for scum to do that to kill one vanilla, at the expense of a goon or higher.
The odds of us hitting a townie on DP1 are already plenty high.

I see what you mean but that depends on the two-players-one-state theory and as I said before I currently find that less likely than croc just being scum. If croc somehow flips town we can reevaluate tomorrow, it doesn't necessarily mean you are scum I suppose, but for now I think croc is scum and you are town and if I am wrong it's not like we are at LyLo or anything, NBD.

i town read warren when u look at how the game is set up
so basically in this bastard version warren the host is allowed to play right?
well since this is the case, there's almost no real advantage of him picking the scum side
whereas if he's town he has a huge asf advantage of knowing who is an isnt scum.
if i was in warrens shoes i'd pick town rather than scum
not only that but it'd be more entertaining to choose the scum due to him having to go at the game at a completely different angle

We have potatoes for no role (not even vanilla?), vs beautiful scenery for beloved princess.
I don't think Croc is the jester, since he was the one who was counter claimed. This denial of having a role, is however weird. I don't think he's that new to playing scum that he doesn't know to make a fake role claim of something town could be (assuming he's scum, were I in his boat of such a strong CC, I'd claim to be a doctor or another role I want to hunt for).
The possibility of Lunatic as jester or a similar a role passed through my head (a mission to kill Croc, or to be killed).
I'm not actually playing the game. I'm not a player. I'm just interjecting when I feel like it.
