People 'do like it their way,
And Privatization does allow that, custom education experience.

The advantage of Public Education is similar to Mass Production I suppose,
Basic layout that 'mostly works, and has many interchangeable parts to keep it cheap (Ideally).
Also advantage/Disadvantage of homogenization, giving society common values and perspectives.

Advantage to government in teaching the views that 'it likes, . .  Or that it's politicians promote to get elected, sometimes.

Everywhere you look, the private sector is more efficient than the govt. I would not make that comparison to mass production (a creation of the private sector btw). Private schools have always found efficient ways to interact with each other and deal with transfer students.

There are train tracks about 2/3 mile down the road from my house. Honestly the sound of one at night makes for soothing white noise. Sounds weird to say but whatever.

Would not be as nice if I lived next to them I think.

I wonder how many people put nothing jobs on their resumes,
They go to couch surf at their uncles farm for a year or something,
Probably looks better on a resume to say one 'worked for one's uncle on a farm for a year.

Maybe better find some nothing work to actually do on the farm,
If your uncle has three chickens, ask for some simple chores like that,
Then you can say one of your tasks was feeding your uncles chickes each day.

Course this is also one of the aspects that 'annoy me about job searches,
The pushing to 'exaggerate, to put on a tap dancing show sometimes, strive and struggle to impress.
. . . Course I'm also just lazy, in some aspects of life.

To encourage voting.

I suppose if the website had used Site Given Profile Avatars,
Certain rewards could have been unlocked,
Clothing items, backgrounds, colors.

Being in Top 10 or 1st on leaderboard,
Could give profile items, but you have to maintain your position of you lose said item.
. . .

I'm pretty happy with the bring your own profile art though.
. . .

I wonder if one 'could make a debating MMORPG?

I'm not sure AI have developed enough, so it would have to require active human judges?

Course Jade Empire had a primitive debate system, and one 'probably could program a 'limited debate system where you are given options to choose as your arguments. AI could handle 'that.
. . . I've never played Ace Attorney Phoenix Wright.

Honestly, I don’t care for the like system on a debate website. But I understand its usefulness and on occasion necessity.

Still it would be great if thread creators could toggle likes for their thread

'Ideally I think I'd like to vote 10 times for every debate I have.
10's a nice round number.
But 5s not bad either.

In all seriousness, people who get offended by slurs are a bit weak for it. Words only have as much power as you give them, and you can choose whether or not you’re offended.

There 'is argument about kids though,
Schools discourage cursing.

Argument about smoking or nudity,
Just 'unpleasant for people to experience sometimes, and they'd prefer to be part of an location that bans such.
Restaurants for example.

If I was a parent, I'd avoid cursing around my kids.

Sure. But I don’t think kids should be on this website. Teenagers maybe. But kids? No.

It’s definitely not DART’s problem if parents can’t be responsible, that’s for sure.

Suppose there was an MMORPG,
Where the maps changed every day, or so?
Probably already are.

. . . I suppose it's 'comforting to know where everything is when you play a game, and people 'do enjoy replay value a fair bit.
. . People explore 'partially just so they know where stuff is.

I suppose Minecraft has a great variation of maps, with how big it's world is, and how 'many different worlds/servers there 'are.

Minecraft was all right, but I never got into the multiplayer mode with it much.

I've never played Terraria.
The NPC function sounds a bit more advanced than Minecraft.

"By completing specific goals, such as defeating a boss or obtaining a certain item, players can attract NPCs, such as a merchant, nurse, or demolitionist, to occupy houses they have built.[10][12] Some NPCs can also be acquired by finding them throughout the world.[28] After acquiring NPCs, players may buy or sell items from NPCs with coins or obtain services from them.[12][28] The happiness status of NPCs is controlled by two factors: the biome they reside in, and the NPCs they are neighbors with. Depending on their happiness, NPCs will raise or lower their prices and sell special items.[29]"

@NobodyInParticular
I don't think I tend to like 'multiple versions of a game that much. 1.0 then 2.0, and so on.
I tend to get fixed on the version I was introduced to, game just changes 'too much sometimes.

I also wonder where famous people debate.

"One must not reveal one’s intentions, but instead should attempt to obtain what one wants by any means possible. For it is enough to ask somebody for his weapons without saying, ‘I want to kill you with them’, because when you have his weapons in hand, you can then satisfy your desire."
- Machiavelli's Discourses on Livy, part of chapter 44

An 'old thread on Debate.org,
Argued the site ought to have 'live debates,
I 'assume it meant like Skype, camera and/or voice.

I wonder if all the AI nowadays, increases the value of such an idea.
I think it does, but at the same time, I think the idea 'still has the same old flaws.

Lot of people don't have the time or 'interest, to debate in person.
Lot of people 'like having time to type, research, and revise their arguments.

. . . I suppose DART having an AI checker on debates could have value,
But AI and Checkers, are both 'evolving technologies I assume.
Not 'really something one 'can easily tack on to DART, I'd think.

If debating is a game/sport like chess,
And electronic chess programs often have AI of various difficulty,
One could make an electronic debate program, with AI of various difficulties.

You’d need to do some research to find it, but I remember hearing of a study that found AI debate bots were very successful at changing Redditors’ minds.

Now if only they tested those debate bots on humans.
