@YouFound_Lxam

.
YouFound_Lxam, that is equally as Bible stupid as Miss Tradesecret, and has committed the unpardonable sin,

AGAIN, what the hell are you still continuing to post in this truly godly Religion Forum, when you are shown to commit the unpardonable sin as shown in this following link: https://www.debateart.com/forum/topics/8791/posts/371467

"So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin." (James 4:17). Since you committed the "unpardonable sin," there is NO FORGIVENESS!

Heads up Bible fool; do you actually think that Jesus wants you in this forum representing Him after you committed the dreadful "Unpardonable Sin?! NO, HE DOES NOT!  "Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin." (John 8:34)

AGAIN, BE GONE SATAN FOLLOWER!!!

But there is not a ranking system, because with a ranking system comes sin in multiple ways.
How?

the Love of money is the root of all evil. not being rich.
If you are rich, you love money.  I am rich for my generation.  I love money.  I’m not giving it to other people even if it means the difference between life and death for them.  Most people (including yourself probably) are the same way.

otherwise God would be a hypocrite in verses 17-19
It wouldn’t be the first time God is a hypocrite. God says to not kill people you know are innocent, and he killed all the children in Egypt over something their ruler did.  If the excuse is, “they go to heaven”, that can apply to any murder case.  I could buy a gun, shoot a priest (I would never do that), claim I sent him to heaven, and if you think it’s okay for God to murder people if they go to heaven, you can say the same thing about me in this instance.

Heaven doesn't have a ranking system.

With a ranking system, comes those of higher class, and lower class.
That means you have "better people "and "fewer good people."

Therefore, creating a system in which people who have done better, live or exist in a better way.
And in doing this is capable of introducing many types of sin.

Again, we will be able to sin in heaven, but way less inclined to, because we will be infinitely smarter and knowledgeable.

If in heaven we didn't have the capability to sin, then we wouldn't be free beings anymore, now, would we?

MELCHARAZ, the runaway from Jesus' true words in another thread, and soon to be running away from them in this thread,

YOUR PITIFUL QUOTE AGAIN IN FRONT OF THE MEMBERSHIP TO UNDERDOG:  "calling God a hypocrite because you dont understand him makes you a fool.
id say goodbye, but there is no good where a fool goes."

Listen up Bible fool, let's take it down to its irreducible primary, where as shown by Stephen, you are NOT a perfect Christian if you haven't followed Jesus' words in this passage, understood? Maybe?  Just a little bit?

"Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” (Matthew 19:21)

If you haven't done what Jesus as God says to do in His inspired passage above, then YOU IN TURN are guilty of the following passage: “A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.” (Proverbs 18:2)

As we can see, you are going for the record that Miss Tradesecret holds with pride, relative to running away from Jesus' inspired words presented to you!

NEXT PSEUDO-CHRISTIAN LIKE "MELCHARAZ" THAT CONTINUES TO RUN AWAY FROM JESUS' TRUE WORDS, WILL BE ... ?

YOUFOUND_LXAM, that wants to be as Bible Dumb®️ as Miss Tradesecret, and that has committed the unpardonable sin,

HELLO?! What part of the following post shown to you AGAIN in the following link, don't you understand?  YOU have ungodly committed the dreadful and unforgiving "Unpardonable Sin" and your presence in this forum is going directly against Jesus' true words!!!

"But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin” (Mark 3:29)

YouFound_Lxam, YOU WILL NEVER live the biblical fact shown above down if you stay upon this prestigious Religion Forum, where you have absolutely no business being her in the first place subsequent to you committing the unpardonable sin!

NEXT PSEUDO-CHRISTIAN LIKE THE HELL-BOUND "YOUFOUND_LXAM" THAT IS KNOWN TO COMMIT THE UNPARDONABLE, AND CONTINUES TO DEFY JESUS' TRUE WORDS IN REMAINING UPON THIS FORUM, WILL BE ... ?

Indeed, TheUnderdog. And let us not forget that it was god himself that had "  hardened the heart of Pharaoh", so that he would defy Moses' command.  Exodus 9:12.
Who knows what Pharaoh would have done had god himself hadn't interfered in negotiations? All those babies my have gone on to live good productive and fruitful lives for the better of all future Egyptians and maybe all of mankind?

Heaven doesn't have a ranking system.
The Bible says stuff about getting treasure in heaven, attained only by selling all you have and giving it to the poor.  If you perfer the heavenly treasure and believe God is real, you would act on it and sell all you have and give to the poor for the heavenly treasure.

By that logic,
Does it follow people should pursue the quickest path to wealth, then retire?
Regardless of if Atheist or Theist,
Though I suppose a theist might expect eternity,
Compared to an atheist expecting an end,
Though some atheists believe in immortality after.

Example, military, 20 year then retire,
Or government job 30 years then retire.

Though I think you need to be X age to 'actually get your benefits for retirement?

Let's look at the scripture.
Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”

Using the word if implies Jesus is saying if you are to be perfect, then you would have done these things. Not that these things = riches in heaven alone

Now following Gods will for you will get you riches in heaven, and if his will for you is to give all you have to the poor, then that will indeed get you riches in heaven.

Interestingly, I think most people, non-religious people, don't think in the long term but in the short term.
Possible, but I plan for the long term.  I also don’t want to give away my wealth and most Christians that plan for the long term don’t want to either.
Many of the Christians I hang around with - have a long-term view of both the earth and the Eternals.   For them, they are not just caught up with the ENDs.  For them, the means are equally important.

Most Christians I know consider the question of wealth an important one. We are planning to lay up our wealth for the future.  To do that means not just spending it now but investing it.  Yet it also doesn't mean idolising it or choosing NOT to help people who need it.  This is one of the reasons why Christians are one of the largest groups in society that give to charities. We have a duty to help the poor and the vulnerable.

In relation to Jesus' teaching, he was talking more about idols than wealth. Yes on the surface he specifically mentioned riches to a rich man.  Yet he spoke to those who valued family about family. And to those who valued this world about eternity and death.  Jesus wanted people to get their priorities right. Starting with loving God, and then loving everything LESS than God.  Whether that be wealth or life or even family.  He also used hyperbole to make these points clear.

I also wonder how long is a LONG TERM for you? None of us knows when we will die.  And what is the point of thinking long-term unless you have a plan for the long term? There is much truth to the proverb "you can't take it with you".  There is that story Jesus referred to in the gospels about the rich man who built bigger barns for the bigger harvest he achieved, only to die that very night.   He got his priorities wrong. He thought that his long-term plans depended only upon himself.  I trust that while you are planning for the long term that this planning includes planning for eternity.

1 . the opening post does not depict the whole factual/accurate religious theology and practice.

As others have already stated, the rich man story highlights our own personal priorities vs. our convictions to follow Jesus/ be with God. If we cherrish worldly things then it will be hard to let those things go so we may put priority on experiencing God first whilst alive.

To some credit, there is accuracy in thinking that we may need to rid ourselves, completely, of things that interfere with our journey with God. Just like a recovering alcoholic may need to refrain from entering a bar for the rest of their live. A person addicticted to any vice or sin will need to plan their repentence. Sometimes this requires support systems in the same way an alcoholic needs a support system when practicing A.A.

2. In regards to heaven - the reward is always God. To exist with Him. Our joy in heaven is God. Why? God is explained to be a wholeness to things we are without on earth. Kinda like having a hole where no hole should be. Although hard to explain, the white cloud, get what you want, etc. Is not 100% accurate depiction as it feeds off analogies.

3. Hypocrisy. This part is tricky because the more standards a person has the harder it is to maintain all standards - and the easier it is to see failures. failure it self is not hypocrisy. Any christian may fail at being good but to be a christian is to follow Christ on a journey. We dont just become perfect just for saying "Im christian." This is an unrealistic expectation.

With that said the majority of christians are not hypocrites. Real hypocricy is saying x is wrong but I can do x. So anyone proclaiming abstinece for adultry but they themselves relishing in adultry (what ever that may look like). Even here it is important not to judge a person's heart. We can jusge the action and even to some degree a person so we may be smart and maintain safety. However to say they are and always will be damned does not help us in our own journey.

You do have to be x age to recieve retirement or take money out of retirement accounts.

However it is possible to set up various accounts with purpose in saving and managing networth to recieve x amount of money for spending.

However reterment needs to be understood as a time to invest in something other than a career rather do nothing. People usually become unhealthy with doing nothing.

A few young people today have claimed to retire at 30 or 40 years old.

Inaccurate. Catholicism is nothing like communism. We have a spiritual obligation to tae care of each other where as such an obligation builds our spiritual stregnth.

No catholic is asked to give up so much as to not be able to take care of themselves.

The word "perfect" here puzzles me. I always thought that perfection was impossible for a human.
In the Christian context, what does it mean for a human to be perfect?

Being perfect is to be without fault, to have lived without any sin.

No one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are perfect.
And no one is perfect, so how do we enter the kingdom of God?

Well, when we accept Jesus as our lord and savior, and make a relationship with him, then his blood on the cross pays for all of our past present and future sins, so that when we die, we will be perfectly cleaned by his blood.

So you do not believe catholicism is similar to communism?

Or are you saying you believe it because you were convinced by authors some time ago, whose names and title escape you?

Cause that happens to me alot.  Personally its like I am content with the info I recorved, and therefore move on to a different topic to preoccupy my mind.

It's not just the information I find in books but how I corroborate it with reality. Many researchers agree that religion as a cultural product of a society is a main indicator for success. It's like jews, for example, Ysrael doesnt thrive just because they are "the chosen people", thats fucking risible . They are succesful because of the way they interpret their religion, which makes them very disciplined and hopeful. I guess I don't have to prove it, Ysrael is a well known case of a succesful nation.

The same comes about in catholicism, but here it's a bit complex cuz there are several congregations in this church.  So, I can say by experience and research that there are catholic congregations that have a socialist mindset if we see it politically. Like for example Franciscans, these people made a terrible, terrible damage to Latin America with their socialist approach of their teachings. In fact, these people use Jesus' teachings to prove their socialist stance, especially what he said to the rich man that other posters have already exposed.

You can find more explanation about it checking out some latin american authors like the chilean Axel Kaiser, or the argentinian Agustín Laje. You need to know spanish, of course, sorry for that.

This is why religious people do not make sense to me.  Look at how likely the claims made by religious people are true -- as opposed to alternate explanations.
When I do this I conclude that most of it was made up by people who lived thousands of years before electricity was discovered, and who believe an endless number of crazy things that we now know were silly superstitions. Some of those people found a great way to control other people -- claim that an invisible being was telling them what to do. Which happened to be obey those people, give them money, fight wars for them. What a coincidence!
If you ask any religious person what they think about the 200+ other religions most will admit they reflexively reject them because they were raised to believe theirs was true.
There is zero evidence for life after death. The whole thing was dreamed up as part of the scam of religion.

My post #49 should have been directed to Melcharaz, not YouFound_Lxam. It was derived from the scriptures Mel mentioned: Matt 5:43-45 & James 3:1-2. I wrote: "Give to the poor, love everyone, and say the right thing at all times."

Speaking of James and giving, that reminds me of the "only faith matters" / "works matter" split that goes all the way back to Paul & James. It is still being argued today, and makes me wonder why.

there are different types of works. there is the work of law, which is caused by mankinds efforts by flesh in obedience to it. then there is the work of faith which is entirely dependent on belief in God and obeying him
.
and there is the work of flesh. galatians 5:19-21

so faith and its works will save you, but faith without its works is dead. you will know a person of faith by their works.

john 10:37-38
galatians 2:16,21
galatians 5:2-4
romans 3:19-31

tldr its a misunderstood arguement because people cant nuiance to seperate righteousness of law, righteousness of faith and works of the flesh. do not serve christ by the law but believe on him through faith and you will do works of faith which shows you are of God.

also, alot of people dont obey God and dont have the Holy Spirit which gives them power and truth to serve God. so they get fustrated trying to obey God via law, cause their faith isnt maintained.

Ok lets look.

This is true, and doesn't contradict what I said.

In order to get into the kingdom of heaven you have to be perfect.
But no one is perfect so how do people get to heaven?

Simple answer. Jesus died for all of our sins. Which means that when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and Love him, then, all of your past, present, and future sins, are paid for meaning when you enter the kingdom of heaven, you are perfect (without sin), because God paid for it.

You mentioned a verse from John in both of your last two posts.
I have a little problem with John. Maybe you can help me.

JOH 14:6, ... no one comes to the father except through me.
JOH 6:65, ... no one can come to me unless it is granted him by my Father.

To me, this looks like an endless loop.
