Until we actually do really need it that much. As it stands we still need money to silver weapons, and it's generally a safe idea to have a decent buffer.
The diamonds are at best prolly going to be valued in the realm of what the gold is worth. But even if, the spellcasters who would be using them, should have focuses that forego the need for material components.
Trying to gauge worth would be worth a try. But like i said, I can't imagine them being anymore than negligibly more valuable than just taking the 500 or so gold straight up. The gold also provides flexibility, and leaves a buffer in case we encounter a magic shop, bookstore, etc. where we would absolutely regret not having it.
Let's say the diamonds and dust are valued at the same 500 or so mark. We aren't going to get the entirety of the amount it would be "worth" on sale if we were to be in need of gp and decide to sell them. We'd at best fmpov get 75-80% of that, if its a good persuasion roll, so around 350-400gp by my rough estimation at best. But we're likely starting at 50% total value on sale as a starting point, or 250gp.)

Not all diamonds are created equal. Based on the relative value of the other treasures its unlikely fmpov that they're at the 25,000gp value needed for the material component of the True Ressurect spell, which is a 9th level spell. To give a sense of how powerful that is, you don't get 9th level spells until at least level 16 or 17.Don't all spellcasters, well at least Merlin, Lux, and Snerp, have focuses that allow for not needing material components to cast.)

Global Context of Birthright Citizenship
President Trump's claim that the U.S. is "the only country" that affords birthright citizenship universally is false. Guy can't help but exaggerate. The number is actually 35, out of 193 countries currently established as sovereign nations in the world today. (195 if you include Palestine and The Holy See). So though we're not the only one, this practice is the exception to the general rule, and in this case, it is because the practice is terrible policy.

This actually is possible fmpov. In the laws regarding citizenship in statute, it uses the same language to

There have also been further legislation that has specifically detailed further exceptions. Such as the 1924 Indian citizenship Act in light of service of so many Natives during WW1 for the United States Military. As well as further exceptions in additional amendments and additoons to statute.
I think it would be better for it to be legislated via congress, as they clearly have the authority and have legislated on these matters before. The notion that it would require a constitutional amendment is laughable at best fmpov, considering it only took an act of Congress to tweak exclusions in the 14th amendment on multiple occasions over the course of U.S. history. That ruling would result in invalidating numerous statute amendments to citizenship and naturalization laws that are well within the purview of legislative authority and have been considered as such consistently.

In closing it's clear from the text, clear from congressional transcripts, and clear from overall historical context, that this amendment was not meant to afford a loophole into citizenship, an incentive to cross by any means necessary just to have a kid that is, no surprise, being exploited... how shocking.

I find it mind-bogglingly puzzling that one could even interpret the 14th amendment as granting birthright citizenship to those born here from parents who are here illegally.

Paul Ryan came out and said he adhered to a plain text reading, but "plain-text" reading does not mean you abandon grammatical sensibility and historical records...
The notion that the 14th amendment affords universal birthright citizenship, is itself debunked as asinine in the amendment itself. Why? If the purpose was to grant that, "subject to the jursisdiction thereof" would be superfluous/ asininely redundant. One need not even look at the Congressional Globe, transcripts of Congressional floor proceedings between 1833-73 to see reading birthright citizenship into the 14th amendment is wishful thinking at best, asinine at worst.
But what about Historical Records of Congressional floor proceedings regarding the 14th amendment? What did the drafters of the 14th amendment say regarding the meaning of the amendment itself?
This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons.” - Senator Jacob Howard (R)
As one can see this definitively excludes foreign ambassadors and ministers along with their families. But is that all it excludes?

"Indians born within the limits of the United States and who maintain their tribal relations, are not, in the sense of this amendment, born subject to the jurisdiction of the United States" - Senator Jacob Howard
This not only establishes a further exclusion, but this was explicitly to maintain the sovereignty of Indian Tribes. To grant citizenship to Native Tribe members born on US soil would itself be an insult that undermines that sovereignty, as the US would be forcing jurisdiction, forcing allegiance to the US onto native tribes which still maintain their own sovereignty.
The provision is, that ‘all persons born in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens. That means, “subject to the complete jurisdiction thereof.”(emphasis added in transcripts)- Senator Lyman Trumbull (R)

Here we clearly see that the 14th amendment actually established a 2 prong litmus test for being granted birthright citizenship. One being that you were born in the US, the other being that you not be subject to the jurisdiction, owe allegiance to, anybody else but the U.S.

History of the 14th Amendment and the "Reconstruction Amendments
Clearly, as illustrared, the 14th amendment does not afford universal birthright citizenship. It clearly extends beyond just the scope of foreign ambassadors and ministers. But why was the amendment made?
Consider the time it was ratified, 1868. Post Civil-War. This amendment to the Constitution was made in the face of Southern Democrats("Dixiecrats", that gave the US such stellar presidents like Andrew Jackson and James K. Polk /s) refusing to grant citizenship to newly freed slaves and their children in the states they governed.
This was the middle amendment of three amendments that were focally about ending slavery and universally prohibiting it in the US(amendment 13) and addressing pardon my language, total dick moves made by the Dixiecrat South post Civil-War to totally disenfranchise freed slaves(Amendment 14 and 15).
Amendment 14 was in response to the refusal to grant citizenship
Amendment 15 was in response to the freed and minted citizens being denied the ability to vote in elections.
These three amendments are known as the "Reconstruction Amendments".

Art pieces can be heftily expensive, so we might come away with more than the amount of gp in that chest taking one of them, but we'd have to pawn stars it and hold onto either one till we found a buyer.

People do have a tendency to pick out the violent extremes on either side and equate that with the entirety of that side. That's what the Turing test is in this. It's highlights how one views American politics.
If your wrapped up in a kind of theological view where one side is clearly evil and the other is a paragon of virtue, one will not find the humor in it. It'll immediately be viewed as falsely equating themselves to {insert party boogeyman}.
But if they are urging violent confrontation, then I would say they are to blame, even if it wasn't "direct".
by direct I don't mean just urging violence against a specific person. General urging of violence would be included, or umbrella groupings in whatever form that may be. I also include the non-imminent to a certain degree.
If you mean something else, I'd be curious as to what would constitute as "indirect" urging of violence that would merit blame 😮.

Welfare also reduces self-esteem and self-worth. Believe it or not, not being able to support yourself and needing to rely on handouts kills confidence. It's embarassing, but honestly rightfully so.
This lack of confidence, lack of self-worth, affects family units at a foundational level, especially when it comes to males, and causes them to check out. Another factor in this is 3rd wave feminisms push against men. The constant reinforcement of men being expendable, not being important to raising kids, and then seeing also that the government will compensate for their failure to provide. So they check out, and the cycle of broken families continues.
It all starts with family, first and foremost, and democrats have pushed an inner city agenda that has torn that apart. Pre-60's and Dem takeovers in large urban centers, the family unit was still intact in inner cities. Now its almost non-existent, and we wonder why they're trapped in poverty? Should come as no surprise whatsoever.
Inner city communities are starting to wake up to this though and bucking dems. Which is why ur seeing a push from Dems to abolish ICE and implement blanket amnesty for illegal immigrants. They're shedding minority votes left and right, so they need to find some way to rig the system so the party doesnt implode. If anything the switch to trying to manufacture a new base with illegals just shows how little dems actually care about minorities, as in places like Chicago, they're abandoning inner cities and desperately trying to flood the system with illegals. Which number 22mil + nationwide per recent studies, possibly over 30 million nationwide.
The largest margin of victory in a presidential election was 17 million votes. Do the math and it's pretty obvious why abolishment of ICE and amnesty is slowly becoming a focal point of the party line.

I never said they were random, nor that there aren't causal factors involved. Again, blaming violence on an independent actor unless they are directly inciting it is not sensible. That's what I'm saying, and that's what's going on on both sides. For example, Maxine Waters would not be to blame if one of her supporters acted violently against a representative, despite her urging confrontation, she wasn't urging violent confrontation. So if a nutjob takes that further and violently attacks a representative, that's on the person who acted violently, not her. As her call was to protest, not violently attack.
The blame game just ends in both sides looking shitty basically.

You misunderstand, im not saying the bombs were a false flag. Rather, whats being manufactured is the blame game, and trying to present the other side as the threat that has truly caused it. When such blame is only sensibly placed when there is direct incitement to action. Somewhat fmpov yes. But it's less "ignoring the real threat" and more manufacturing of a threat to score political points and advance an agenda. Extremist ideologues are a small percentage of total voters, yet are controlling the narrative. When most people realize we're in this together for better or worse and want to see the left and the right stop pushing themselves to extremes and come back to the center.
On a side note,
This is why liberals are starting to abandon the Dem party, because they're getting too extreme. Some go to the GoP, most who are leaving the left though, particularly classic liberals, just become independents and/or check out of politics altogether it seems.
Engagement with content when comparing left vs right, shows vastly more engagement from conservatives, while Dems continue to drop in engagement. This ties into the upcoming midterms, because its mirroring 2016 in how polling showed Dems as clear winners, but engagement with media content is actually showing the opposite, again, just like in 2016.
It's to the point where even pollsters and places like Vox are seeing the signs and starting to hit the panic button. As a recent article stated, "there's still a 45% or so chance that Dems don't gain majority in the house, and an even greater chance Republicans gain seats in the Senate. Basically, pollsters and media are seeing the signs on the wall and have to admit their predictions are no better than if you flipped a coin to predict races.

Conservatives and moderates see this meme and see Meanwhile, far-leftists see the meme and immediately jumped to, "how dare you compare far left groups like antifa to Nazis" exposing in turn that they themselves view the left and the right as those two groups, when that's far far far from the case.
Most Americans are moderates and independents. Followed by those that fall into the conservative and liberal camps. Followed by far left and far right identitarians. Progressive identitarians are somewhere around 8% of voters, "right wing" identitarians are even less, likely under a single percentage point.
As in very few people adhere to the two extremes, so viewing the meme as representative of the two extremes only belies the person who views that, is themselves an extreme ideologue, as they're incapable of detecting anything else due to their inconsistent with reality worldview.

PvC cant hold as much pressure as metal, true. But plastics are still usable. Plastic pipe bombs fmpov would be best used in small areas, like single rooms, or for single targets. Gotta factor, the guy wasn't trying to maximize damage, he was going for specific singular targets. PvC is more than capable of withstanding the pressure needed for a fatal explosion at close range, plus it wont set off metal detectors.
Fmpov the dude who mailed the bombs wasnt trying to kill people. Reading up further, it appears the bombs didn't even have explosive material in them? Plus the guy has said he didn't make them to go off?
Sorry, I was using yesterday's info, more information has come out since that sheds light on the make of the bombs. Turns out his purpose was likely to scare people. Guy still deserves to rot in jail though, there is no place for these kinds of actions here. Justice ought be meted out swiftly.

Out of PvC pipe? It's a durable and cheap material so I don't see how making a bomb out of PvC pipe is a bad idea, not would it change its functionality. Aren't most IED's made with things like PvC pipe, pressure cookers, etc?
Last I read the bombs were just made terribly. Dude put a timer on them, when a timer wasnt needed. This unnecessary wiring likely lead to them being non-functional.
Bombs honestly aren't super difficult to make, but if you don't know what ur doing ur liable to make such mistakes. Like near where I live in Wisconsin recently there was a dude making bombs in his apartment. He fucked up the wiring and the bomb he was working on detonated. Luckily no others did. The bombs were so shoddy they couldn't move them without highly risking them detonating though, so they did a controlled detonation. From what i read of the local reporting, the guy probably just liked bombs cause they found no indication he was actually planning on using them, no manifestos, not really anything like that that would tip off to him having planned on using them.
Was actually kind of cool, I live miles away and heard the explosions clearly and it shook the windows a little bit. Just goes to show how powerful even shoddily made bombs can be.

Yes, we have a girl to search for, but we also came out here with a purpose of getting gold so we can silver weapons. If we each prep a wolf, we can get the heads and meat, short rest, and be back to the search without spending a long time on it.

Maybe even get lucky and find like, blueprints to Castle Ravenloft that helps us plan out how we'll infiltrate it, giving us another option besides storm the gates with as many others as we can muster 😂, which was a total failure last time from what we were told.
There's gotta at least be a library somewhere in Barovia with historical records and the like. Unless Barovians aren't the reading and writing type 😂.
