I wouldn't exactly ascribe Christianity as the dominant religion in the United States today. I certainly encounter culture that feels alien to me throughout my life.
I'm not sure how to add that Christians can have a sort of counter-cultural way about worldly affairs.

I went to the DMV and they said you had to wear one, then a lady came out who has dozens of transactions per day and rubbed her hands over every square inch. It worked out good because I was polite and we agreed instead that they would call me when my number came up. I didn't have to wait in line : )

Don't know why you want to know that....
Ohh, I meant to share what I think about people in my locale. I'm just not very familiar with internet formats. I bet I've made like half a dozen jokes on here and took them down because I was just having fun and they lacked the nuance that would come across intuitively in person.

One church I went to has a sign that's like "You're supposed to wear a mask" but all the old people just don't come. No one but me even seemed to bring one in. Then another checks for people's temperatures before you get past the main entrance, and everyone has spaced seating so you don't really need one once you're inside.

I'm more interested in knowing your habits and where you travel, and I appreciate people who don't wear a mask insofar as they've been transparent.

The reality in my observation is that many Americans see the flag as representing the shared ideas which bring us together as a nation,Maybe not so much. The sort of (white) people who clamber to distinguish themselves as the True Americans have weaponized the flag, manipulating it to antagonize those they believe to be less American. [**]
This sort of people who address America as a race can also be called white supremacists, white nationalists, etc...
They are not always white.
They are probably expressing the "United States of America" as a single ethno-state?

But let a black quarterback criticize the government's lack of accountability when it comes to use of force and the guy is practically fired by the POTUS via tweet. NFL viewership declined 8% as a direct response to one man's simple, just use of free speech.
If only some other quarterback protested the entire nation, no one would be offended. The implication is of course was that 8% of people don't think "black lives matter". The reality in my observation is that many Americans see the flag as representing the shared ideas which bring us together as a nation, and kneeling during the national anthem (the nation is the whole body of people) in protest as a form of surrender to the political establishment, as if they are arbiters who grant rights and declare our freedom as a people. I'm sure there are other opinions on why the gesture is considered grotesque enough to change the channel to something more worthwhile. The president or whomever you may be referring to is a public servant, not a king and certainly not having a special relationship with the divine. It just happens that they do not own the flag any more than the one's who would submit it to him.

I still can't tell exactly what anyone's supposed to "investigate".Go to the source? The source is already spouting off full-bore, no need to "interview" them.Go to the "evidence"?Well apparently the "evidence" is unverifiable.
I'm not overly focused on the reporting, but rather the facts that it brings to attention. The point that Donald Trump is motivated to drive home to the masses is that verifiable evidence is out there that they were previously unaware of in any sense. I believe the real story that the likes of Representative Adam Schiff do not want you to know is that hundreds of thousands of reasonable people are invalidating the impeachment proceedings of 2019 over the weekend.

Consider that it is a title of reverence, sort of like "king" but not necessarily referring to a person. If you do not recognize a man's entitlement to authority within a nation, they may still be there acting as a ruler regardless of your respect.
If you can be sure of one thing it is that however you may interpret it, "YHWH" "I am" "I am that I am" "I will be what I will be", refers to a being. If you have more faith that the Sun will come up tomorrow than what the Christians revere as God, perhaps you should reconsider whether you understand what they are referring to and worship.

****Hunter Biden tabloid story raises disinformation campaign fears****
Did they send journalists to look into the story?
No, and NPR literally took the time to make up an excuse for not covering it at all.
Did they inquire about the information the government is holding in a CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION for MONEY LAUNDERING?
No, CBS literally sent people out to contact someone who doesn't work with the FBI to make unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.
Did they disagree with the story and debunk it?
No, Twitter literally banned people, including the president lol.

Apparently this is a very unique point in American history so take a look around. Pick something that's normally against the interest of a legislature trying to remain in power.

Some would say we are currently living through a mass extinction event, primarily driven by an unprecedented rise in the human population on every continent around the world. Due in large part to the industrialization of economies increasingly open to global trade, an excessive amount of resources are presently available for a more uniform standard of living across nations. On average there are between 4 and 5 acres of land for every person. Given the current trajectory and given our capacity to produce things like shelter, food, and fresh water, it is said that many of today's children will experience the results of unsustainable population growth.
The Greenhouse Effect is a result of gasses such as methane and carbon dioxide which retain energy from the sun and producing a higher surface temperature on earth relative to their concentration in the atmosphere. Express your reasons to believe an increase in greenhouse gas concentration, a long term trend of rising sea levels, along with rising ocean and rising air temperatures, will tend to have a net-negative or net-positive effect on the standard of living for future generations.

America's own intelligence agencies have warned that Rudy Giuliani was a target of a Russian misinformation campaign to smear Biden with this story. Attempts by Trump and his supporters to draw attention to the Biden story are attempts to draw attention away from Trump's own corruption and conflicts of interest.
Welcome. Rudy Giuliani has approached people affiliated with Russian intelligence and the FBI has warned numerous institutions that the Russians could pull something of this nature in advance. However the FBI has not stated (to my knowledge) that Rudy's findings coming out of an American computer repair shop were Russian disinformation. John Ratcliffe, the Director of National Intelligence, has stated his view that the "Hunter Biden's laptop" is unrelated to Russian disinformation efforts. There was not much else for them to tell the public at the time I read that story.
After the laptop story covered by the NYPOST, Tucker Carlson was approached by an old business associate of Hunter Biden, Tony Bobulinski. You can skip a minute and a half if you would like to refer to what he had to say. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zLfBRgeFFo
Now Tucker Carlson has reportedly come across some sort of additional documentation. The source and nature of information has yet to be disclosed as you can see from the OP.

But there doesn't seem to be an effective and realistic way of holding the Democratic party to higher standards without giving more power to the other side. There's never a third party to vote for that has enough clout to win, and simply withholding our votes plays into the Repulicans' hands.
For every Bernie Bro hiding in their conservative parent's basement, there's probably two or three God-fearing mothers trashing the Trumpster as a pastime. I wouldn't say they're playing into anyone's hands, but rather their consent is just not for sale.

I consider independence from political parties to be an asset to effectively leading the executive branch. I consider a thorough understanding of the constitution and history to be an asset in the Senate. I can weigh more heavily one's grasp of their constituency and the contemporary issues for the house.
There are things I disagree with, and then there are things that scream "I'm unqualified for this position", like a Muslim ban. That demands an apology for your future consideration among the qualified candidates.
There are things I disagree with, and then there are things that scream "I'm unable to address complex issues", stating it's acceptable for police to be armed with what are in your view 'assault weapons'. To advocate that the police should be armed with something that has no defensive application in civilian life demands redress for your future consideration among the respectable candidates. If you fail to distinguish between an "assault weapon" and the patrol rifle endorsed by your police department for civilian applications, you lack the capacity for critical thought that I require of someone who is expected to rule entire industries.

why should it be the responsibility of charity? this is an inequality at the root of our republic. the rules of the game are rigged. this isn't the problem of charity... it's the problem of the government. the social contract can only be fixed by the government.
It's the responsibility of charity because you live in a decent society, and people have taken it upon themselves to make the distribution of food their business. Asking why it should be is just kind of backwards. I mean why would you ever feel the need to justify charity towards your fellow man?

Food stamps are always part of a government program, and they have nothing to do with interstate travel.
Your proposal necessarily involves prohibiting legislature from passing laws. To do so requires a constitutional amendment.

10th Amendment: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
Your proposition would require an amendment to the US constitution, which involves 3/4ths of the States voting for the Supreme Court to overrule democracy.
Please explain how your disagreement over welfare policy rises to the occasion.

You have to moderate your conduct if your aspirations include running for president. That doesn't make one's ideological motive "moderate".
I'd be interested to see what sympathies you think he might have with socialism.

he said a judge ruling on one of his civil suits can't be objective, given the judge is mexican. there wasn't a shred of evidence the judge wouldn't be impartial, other than the fact that the judge was mexican.
I thought this sounded racist too, so I researched this story,. It turned out that the Judge is a member of a group called "La Raza", which translates to "The Race". If I were considering my vote, I would not require an apology for his statements regarding the judge of "mexican heritage" who is "very proud of where he came from" in Donald Trumps words. Every president who addresses border security gets slandered by racists.

he told the squad to go back where they came from. the squad is that group of colored congress women. born in the usa. trump never would have told a group of whites to go back to where they came from.
To my knowledge, "The Squad" refers to the four freshman representatives who identify as socialists. I've heard that Alexandria Ocassio Cortez ran a racist campaign or has a very racialized district in New York. I don't pay much attention to her. If socialism is becoming marketable in your district, you probably live in one of the problematic places in the United States, and the pillars of community in society as you know it are breaking down. I'm not sure of the other three people. Socialism is widely considered foreign and commonly condemned as antithetical to the American way.
I don't think you can really infer that people who haven't debunked this conspiracy theory as racist. You can be sure that a lot of them are though. I mean, you have to be for example, if you address a politician by their color before even considering their ideas. They could also be socialists though.

As to the accusation of whether the Birther Conspiracy is inherently racist, I think the only people who can make such a claim with any sincerity are segregationists and racists.
I think its reasonable to accuse Donald Trump of lacking integrity, a man who will spread all kinds of rumors. He fancies himself a winner, and winning is the primary motivation that he expresses for paddling misinformation. To accuse him of racism as opposed to being insensitive to your worldview, you need some kind racial cue to use as evidence. Being born outside of the United States has nothing to do with race, so regardless of the absurdity there's still some utility in these types of conversations, since you can conclude that his accusers are coloring the situation with their own prejudice.

he said obama wasn't born in the usa, and he had no reason to think that. obama is black and his dad was born in kenya, but other than that, you never see folks like trump dispute the same situation with white politicians.
So I assume there are a fair amount of viewers outside of the United States. Many people may not be aware that former President Barack Obama has no "black" heritage. His father was a Kenyan, not the least bit American and so he has no relation to the colored legacy of the slave trade. He was raised in the state of Hawaii, an island in the middle of the Pacific which was not even a US territory until 45 years after the abolition of slavery in 1900, by a single mom who worked abroad overseas for much of her career as well.
(The US expanded from east to west over 200 years).
On it's face, one could only assume that he probably had less exposure to black ethnicity than most anyone growing up in the oldest and heavily traveled areas of the US until he moved to Chicago to attend college, and eventually married his wife Michelle.
