Actually, New York proved you don't even need a jury....
You can just get the right-tribe DA to set up a bench trial....you don't even need to expressly waive your right to a Jury trial...the judge can just read your mind without asking if you want to waive your rights.

Plus Bill Barr admitted just this past weekend that Trump said stuff like this all the time, as have many who worked in Trump's inner circle.
Barr also admitted he was going to vote for Trump over Biden, despite the fact Trump called him a traitor. Maybe the real problem here is actually Biden....

It's not so simple as "hur-durr...Donbas = Ukraine and Russia invaded Ukraine..." there's an ongoing civil war over who should control the Donbas led directly by the ethnic Russians living in the Donbas. What Ukraine wants to do to the Donbas is essentially what Palestine wants to do with Israel (drive them out and replace the Russian speakers with ethnic Ukrainians), only the Donbas has much better support than Palestine.
You make an observation about Vietnam, but you need to understand who is on the defense here. Many of the soldiers in the Donbas trenches who have held the line for 3 years are in fact ethnic Russians living in Donbas. (their homeland). Any student of WW1 knows what it's really going to take to recapture all that Donbas territory with thousands of miles of trench networks built up over the past 3 years. You can't just drone strike your way to victory here. It's going to take men, a LOT of men, and it's going to be very bloody.
Otherwise, I generally agree with what you said except for the idea that Russia would willingly start WW3 by occupying all of Ukraine. That's crazy talk. Again, we don't want nukes in Cuba, and Russia doesn't want nukes in Ukraine. Fair is fair.

It's unclear if Ukraine can still win without nuclear weapons, which means they probably need us to give them some. This wouldn't have been necessary had we not dropped the ball.
Ukraine has lost around 300,000+ men fighting for control over the ethnically Russian Donbas.
They now barely have enough men to man the trenches now to keep Russia from rolling into Kiev. The dreams of Ukraine retaking the Donbas are just that...dreams... no amount of weaponry or additional devastation is going to change the current reality. Ukraine can't magically create men to fill the trenches and eat artillery shells. There's 2 realistic options at this point, US boots on the ground to fight over basically no-mans territory that means nothing for the USA, or USA can permit Ukraine to sign an armistice and start rebuilding from the ashes we helped to create. USA will never achieve the imperial dream of NATO dominance with no pushback from Russia or China ever again without significant bloodshed that American citizens will never allow. It's time to adapt to the new world. Good fences make good neighbors, and it's time to start respecting those fences instead of tearing every single one down and demanding NATO hegemony. We don't want nukes in Cuba, and Russia doesn't want them in Ukraine. Respect the fences, and there would never have been a war to begin with. It's actually OK to tell DC that we don't need to instigate eternal wars across the globe to cater to the MIC.

This is a gross conceptualization error regarding monetary value. The US dollar is wholly dependent on global purchasing power and especially foreign global oil reserves traded in dollars as the US doesn't produce anything anymore and has a ridiculously low amount of production factories compared to other nations, especially China.
Thankfully, Biden's foreign policies weaponizing the US dollar is destroying the global reserves on the dollar, so we won't have to worry about a reduction of the US Moody's rating far in the future to crash the value of the US dollar.
