Autopengate.

The question is: are pardons legitimate if they were signed by autopen?
What if the president was out of the country when the documents were signed in DC via autopen?

What about legislation? Does the public have a right to demand presidents must physically have the document in front of them for examination as they sign it?
Is the inability to physically sign documents grounds for removal under the 25th amendment?

What is the legal procedure? How do we know the president activated the autopen?

There is no official or comprehensive audit specifically analyzing how many of Trump's 30,573 false or misleading statements turned out to be true. The Washington Post's Fact Checker categorized them as false or misleading at the time based on available evidence. However, many claims initially labeled misleading could have later been validated or partially corroborated as more information emerged.
For example:
  • COVID-19 lab leak theory: Trump suggested COVID-19 may have originated from a lab in Wuhan. Initially dismissed as a conspiracy, it later became a plausible theory investigated by U.S. intelligence agencies.
  • Spying on his campaign: Trump claimed his campaign was spied on. Initially denied by media outlets, later evidence from the Durham report revealed FBI misconduct, partially validating his claim.
  • Hunter Biden’s laptop: Trump’s claim about Hunter Biden’s laptop was initially dismissed as disinformation but was later confirmed as authentic by major news outlets. Trump's misleading statements fact checked by WAPO about the 51 agencies were also found to be verifiably true after the authentication of the laptop.
While fact-checkers have documented many false or misleading statements made by former President Donald Trump, some of his claims regarding the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Steele dossier have proven to be mostly valid. The Steele dossier, commissioned during the 2016 presidential campaign, alleged Trump had ties to Russia. However, many of its claims were later discredited or remained unverified. The primary source for the dossier admitted that much of the speculative information was portrayed as fact, creating a false impression.

Additionally, Newsbusters and Media Research Center have tracked CNN and found around 5 obvious misleading statements on average per day rising to an average of 15 misleading statements per day when adding in statements with subtle bias. MSNBC ranked much higher in daily misleading statements. And as we know, the number one misleading statement heard from CNN and MSNBC was the statement repeated over 30,000 times that Biden was mentally fit. 30,000 instances as a cumulative total across all corporate left-wing media, multiple outlets, and numerous personalities repeating similar talking points over a two-year period. That is the big lie that cost the Democrats the election and cost corporate left wing media over half of their audience.

First, radical Democrats scream for a government shutdown, and now Democrat judges are trying to turn planes full of Venezuelan terrorists around to romp around the USA.

Democrats must feel no pulse on the American populace. That's a beat going on only in their heads.

Is the global economy a pyramid scheme?
-->
@n8nrgim
The usa is the main engine of the world economically and militarily and diplomatically and the rest of the world rises and falls with the usa, good or bad.
Why should the USA be an economic slave to the world? Maybe the world economy would do much better without leeching off the USA. Maybe USA would be better for Americans if we didn't slave away supporting the global world masters...

Break your chains and free yourself.

Protestors are drawing hearts on responses.   Apparently, this is being done in an effort to fight nice people.

My question is, are any Nice people bothered by the drawing of hearts? I was under the impression that Nice people draw hearts all the time. When did hearts become an anti-Nice symbol?

Weaponization of justice about to cost Delaware dearly.
Democrat policy wonk Ezra Klein has this to say about not just the exodus of the wealthy, but also the working poor.

You cannot be the party of working families when the places you govern are places working families cannot afford to live,” says columnist Ezra Klein about the Democratic Party. Right-wing populism thrives on scarcity. The answer for Democrats is abundance, he argues. But politics of abundance will work only if Democrats confront where their approach has failed in the past.

Democrats face a deeper problem than just the 2024 election—it’s about governance itself. In their strongholds like California, New York, and Illinois, people are leaving in droves. Since the pandemic, California saw a net loss of 268,000 residents in 2023, while New York lost 179,000. It’s not just cities like New York losing people; the entire state is seeing a population decline. Illinois has experienced population loss for ten consecutive years. Surveys consistently point to one dominant reason: the cost of living is too high. Childcare costs resemble a second mortgage, homeownership is unrealistic with multi-million dollar prices, and long commutes make work-life balance unbearable. Families are moving to places where life is simply more affordable, like Florida and Texas, where they can get much larger homes for the same price as a cramped apartment in a blue state.

This shift is not just about economics—it’s about political power. Losing residents means losing congressional seats and electoral votes. If current trends hold, the 2030 census will shift the Electoral College further to the right. A future Democrat could win every state Harris won in 2024, plus Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, and still lose the presidency. This signals a policy failure in blue states: the cost of living is simply unsustainable. Democrats have become a party that defends government even when it doesn’t work, while Republicans want to dismantle it even when it does. What’s missing is a party that makes government function effectively. Democrats should be that party, but that requires acknowledging and fixing their failures.

Take California’s high-speed rail as an example. The idea was ambitious—connecting Los Angeles and San Francisco in under three hours for an estimated $33.6 billion, with voters approving initial funding in 2008. The project was expected to be completed by 2020. However, by 2018, costs had skyrocketed to $76 billion, and by 2019, Governor Gavin Newsom admitted there was no viable plan to complete the full project. Instead, the only part moving forward is a much smaller link between Merced and Bakersfield, a segment no one would have approved if that had been the original proposal. The cost for just that stretch? $35 billion—more than the entire LA-SF route was originally supposed to cost. Even this small section won’t carry passengers until at least 2030, if all goes well.

The problem wasn’t engineering—it was politics. Environmental reviews dragged on for over a decade, lawsuits halted progress, and negotiations with landowners, businesses, and regulators created endless delays. The U.S. system prioritizes process over progress. In contrast, China has built over 23,000 miles of high-speed rail in the same period that California has failed to complete 500 miles. This isn't about wanting America to be like China, but rather about enabling government to actually build things efficiently, like Japan and Europe do.

This inefficiency isn’t just about rail—it extends to housing and infrastructure. Despite having 12% of the U.S. population, California holds 30% of the country’s homeless and 50% of its unsheltered homeless. Instead of fixing this crisis, California hasn’t significantly increased housing production over the past decade. The same failure is seen in transit projects like New York’s Second Avenue subway, which became the most expensive subway project per kilometer in the world, with no meaningful reforms to make future projects cheaper.

Democrats have veered off course by becoming the party that defends bad government rather than ensuring it works. Meanwhile, figures like Elon Musk gain popularity by attacking bad government. Republicans, rather than solving problems, thrive on this enforced scarcity, using the government created housing shortages to blame immigrants, slashing wasteful science funding instead of investing in meaningful research, and gutting unsustainable solar and wind energy instead of making America a green energy powerhouse.

The real answer isn’t tearing government down or blindly defending its failures—it’s a politics of abundance. The goal should be to ensure people have what they need by making government work efficiently where it’s needed and stepping aside where markets function better. The future of governance depends on breaking out of simplistic ideological divides and focusing on real solutions that deliver for working families instead of pushing them away with ever increasing income disparities.

Weaponization of justice about to cost Delaware dearly.
A radical partisan judge in Delaware slammed Musk a few years back by not allowing shareholders to compensate Musk for his performance as CEO.

Because Musk let the ruling stand, and simply decided to take his ball and play elsewhere, many of the S and P 500 are looking to incorporate in a more business friendly state.
About two-thirds of companies in the S&P 500 index are registered in Delaware.

This is the permanent damage TDS can inflict on a state when justice becomes weaponized along party lines.

@Double_R
Also, nice self own with your source where I can copy and paste reality over your propaganda.

A person is guilty of Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree when he commits the crime of Falsifying Business Records in the Second Degree, and when his intent to defraud includes an intent to commit another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof. PL § 175.10.
Under the "Culpability; definition of terms" section of PL § 15.00, act, voluntary act, omission, conduct, to act, and culpable mental state are defined. "Intent to defraud" is not defined within that section. However, courts in the First Department have interpreted this culpable mental state broadly. See People v. Kase, 76 AD2d 532 [1st Dept 1980], aff’d, 53 NY2d 989 [1981]; People v. Sosa-Campana, 76 AD3d 464 [1st Dept 2010]; Kia, 73 AD3d at 509.
The same approach has been adopted by courts in other departments as well. See People v. Ramin, 99 AD3d 1241 [4th Dept 2012].
Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree requires that a defendant have the intent to commit "another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof." Thus, the statute does not require a defendant to actually be convicted of the "other crime," but merely that he intends to commit another crime.

And every normal person covering the scam trial said over and over again that the "other crime" was never ever specified. And the crooked partisan party operative DA himself said he didn't need to specify it.

This is why you and your party failed, and why your propaganda fails.

If Canada did become the 51st state, the Republicans would never win another election, Canadians are overwhelmingly liberal.
Canada has about the same population and leanings as California, so yes, Republicans would, as a party, end. Politics will then be between moderate Californians and Radical Californians. Adding 54 left-leaning Canadian members to the Congress is enough to practically rewrite the constitution. Adding 54 electoral votes for the left means they can win every election with the support of 15 blue states. No swing states needed.

I don't think the ROI is really worth it if we can't even get free trade agreements or force them to eat cheeseburgers.

Christianity can simultaneously be used to pown the Chinese and a Islamic countries
China doesn't pay a huge cost for cracking down on diversity. The Chinese people expect it at this point. Middle Eastern people won't accept Christianity unless the people can maintain the hierarchy of the masculine male. And that old school Christianity is nearly gone from the world.

someone who committed obvious and serious crimes
Give me a break. They were not anywhere near close to obvious crimes because the DA objectively conspired with the Judge to not specify the underlying crime.

Nor were they serious. People don't suddenly decide to become a felon at 70+ years old when they have everything to lose by doing so. The public rightfully saw this as a hatchet job orchestrated by autocratic power mongers. prior to 2016, Trump had zero felony charges ever brought up against him for any felonious criminal activity. This was a hail-mary to try to win the game, but the public threw the yellow flag, and all that's left are tears for the rabid fans on the left.

You know who is really holding the Democrats hostage? A small minority of radicals. Trump's best ad was pointing out how Democrats were fully on the 20% side of the 20-80 issue on transgenders. Democrats are literally too afraid to take the 80 percent side due to violent leftist extremism and ridiculous and irrational anti-social purity tests. You can't find a "moderate" Democrat anywhere because the radical left will brand them as a "maga"...just look at how Gavin Newsom was treated.

Not that I see this changing anytime soon, nor do I think it's necessary to reform the Democrat party. I used to think it would be bad when we lost the Democrat party, but now, I really don't think it will be as bad as I feared knowing how useless and weak the leadership is. Sometimes you need to raze to the ground and rebuild.
