Most divorces by a really large margin are instigated by the woman. The laws need to change to stop rewarding women for choosing divorce which ultimately harms the children.

This study is worth taking a look at.

So yes, Blacks are returning to prison more often, despite the growing trend of societal coddling  to replace agency due to skin color.

When a person (mostly men) is released from prison, if they do not have a strong family to fall back on, they will be back in prison. Sorry, but single moms are simply not cutting it.

Despite all this, we KNOW single moms produce "unpriveleged" children.

And the 3 strikes rule then guarantees harsher sentencing.

Lighter sentencing isn't fixing anything either.

No surprise, Biden stops publishing reports on arms sales to Ukraine.

There used the be a time when people like Oliver North would be castrated for doing this.

Oh and also no surprise, Ukraine oligarchs are caught selling foreign donated weapons on the black market. What a great cause to donate to.

@Swagnarok
This is a very interesting commentary.

Key takeaways:

1:) The Kharkov push was one out of 4 operative fronts. The other fronts are failing badly.
2:) The territory recaptured is 1/40th the size of the territory Russia captured since the start of the war.
3:) Most of the Russians were able to retreat as they deemed the territory to be indefensible and not a high priority.
4:) Russia now has more targets of opportunity for airstrikes as the Ukraine army spreads out over the Kharkov region.
5:) Russia is in the process of targeting all civilian power structures reducing infrastructure by 50%.
6:) Ukraine is about to lose all nuclear power in the region right at the start of winter.
7:) Russia seems poised to escalate the scope of the war from special operations to all out war, opening up more options for attack.

Conclusion? This war isn't over by a long shot.

And anyone expressing a desire to extend the war into Winter by asking the US government to go further into debt is pure evil knowing it will kill millions of Ukrainians needlessly.

That makes the claim a little bit suspicious then.

The scientific method relies on repeatable outcomes from similar data. If the claim is strong, this outcome should have some literature from this year.

I kinda have an issue with any site that offers critical thinking services for people who are unable to do it on their own.

That includes all fact "check" sites. If you are using any of those sites no matter what the bias is, it is an admission that you are unable to make your own evaluations and a confession that you need a "cheat sheet"

And we all know what happens when the cheat sheet is wrong :)

For decades the deep state treated Russia like a geopolitical enemy without the excuse of ideological differences and I very much doubt this invasion would have happened in any other case.

This is an important point which suggests there is no guarantee Russia will change its policy course even if it changed leaders. In fact, there is a sizable contingent in Russia from the loyal hardliners that claim Putin is being too soft and not as committed. Removing Putin could have very unexpected consequences.

the US should continue supplying arms to Ukraine.
Would you be against supplying Ukraine if it meant a likely and relatively quick end to the war?

There are countless historical examples in foreign conflicts that definitively prove more American aid means a longer war.

In the current situation where Russia's ruble is on the ascent and the USD is on the decline, prolonging the war may be exactly what Putin wants right now. Especially as the world currency is in the process of switching from amenities to basic raw energy with the consequences of the great reset.

It's worth taking a realistic view as to what would be acceptable peace conditions for the west and exactly how much it would cost to achieve those military goals. Most people really are not aware just how much military aid would be required to take ALL of the East Ukraine back. In light of this, you should be prepared to accept a world where Russia keeps control of a good bit of the Russian speaking part of Ukraine. Whether that end comes sooner or later depends on how long you want to delay the inevitable and how much debt you are willing to go into.

The West's obsession with becoming energy deficient while chasing  the dream of the green energy religion has crippled the west's ability to keep Putin in check. It's too bad that no world leader foresaw this coming. Most of Europe is headed to a very dark and cold winter this year.

@Shila
Congressional Democrats can’t decide whether to soak the rich or hand them an immense tax break. In a tribute to policy incoherence, they’ve settled on both.

The House on Friday approved the $1.2 infrastructure bill after decoupling it from an even larger entitlement measure — the reconciliation legislation — pursued by progressives and the president. The content of the latter remains fluid and its fate remains in doubt, particularly in the Senate.

In order to get moderates on board for the massive social spending bonanza, Speaker Nancy Pelosi has revived an old favorite. Last week she discreetly made sure that the reconciliation bill includes a gift to wealthy residents of high-tax blue states in the form of a healthy increase in the federal write-off for state and local taxes — known as the SALT deduction. Democrats have been wailing about the provision ever since Republicans in 2017 imposed a $10,000 cap on such deductions, which made it more difficult for big-spending politicians in California, New York, Illinois and other liberal enclaves to disguise their imprudent fiscal decisions. Ms. Pelosi now seeks to bump the cap to $72,500.

This would overwhelmingly benefit high earners. The Wall Street Journal reports that a Tax Foundation model calculates nearly 88 percent of taxpayers making more than $1 million would get a tax cut under the Democratic plan, with filers earning beyond $250,000 getting 70 percent of the savings.

This from a party whose faithful regularly drone on about the rich not paying their “fair share” and only a week ago were floating the idea of taxing billionaire capital gains before they’re even realized. But the hypocrisy runs even deeper.

In addition to the SALT giveaway, Democrats would hand tax subsidies worth up to $12,500 to well-off Americans who buy electric vehicles. Under the current bill, the credit won’t phase out until individual earners hit $250,000 in annual income, or $500,000 for married joint filers. There’s also a tax credit for electric bikes — electric bikes! — including high-end models that run as much as $4,000.

Meanwhile, Democrats claim to have this $1.9 billion reconciliation bill “paid for” with higher taxes on corporations and the rich. That would be much easier, of course, if they weren’t taking away with one hand while giving back with the other through SALT relief, EV handouts and other subsidies. But the idea that this bill pays for itself is accounting fiction: In a master stroke of fiscal gimmickry, every new entitlement in the measure is designed to sunset — which will never happen. Whatever final number Democrats pin on this donkey, expect the true cost to be triple.

The infrastructure bill may be stuffed with pork, but the reconciliation spending barrage is a dangerous house of cards.

Here is what AOC had to say about SALT.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., said in April that doing away with the tax deduction cap would be “a giveaway to the rich.” The progressive lawmaker noted at the time that she is open to “a conversation” about edits, but that a full repeal is excessive.

If it wasn't for true progressives like AOC, Biden would have rolled back the tax dodging caps and reinstated the giveaways to the rich.

Take the W here, it doesn't matter who gets the credit.

Trump fixed the limit on SALT tax deductions to 10,000$. That we done primarily to hurt blue states. But his 2.6 trillion tax cuts to the rich just added to the deficit

Think how many more trillions the deficit would be without the rich paying their fair share. Take a W when you can. Eat the rich. he wasn't really hurting blue states, he was hurting the rich people in Blue states.  I don't care about rich people no matter what state they live in.

It's unlikely Putin isn't prepared for an extended war and may even welcome trading blows with the west over a prolonged period at this point using Ukraine as a proxy to drain resources from the west. The war is really about who will control the petrodollar and the stakes are far more than the land in Ukraine. If Putin can undermine the US dollar by encouraging more deficit spending on an unwinnable war, he may be willing to make that trade if it means a relatively stronger ruble and the emergence of a Sino-Russian economic alliance and dominance in Asia. The musings that Ukraine could possibly regain all the Eastern territory lost to Russia that they had to have a civil war to gain in the first place is pure fantasy, even if the west were to go trillions in debt to make it happen.

That is the real reason Putin wants this war. ^^^

That's fine as long as the rich in Blue States are taxed because they need to pay their fair share.

Just think of how bad inflation could have been if SALT was allowed to remain allowing Rich Democrats to avoid taxes?

Biden needs that revenue more than you or Trump does and we should all be thanking the 2017 removal of SALT tax deductions for the rich.

I can’t believe you think RCV and Runoffs are the same thing. I’m not against RCV. I’m against ballot exhaustion. Because your vote does not count at all. In fact it disenfranchises those who would come and vote in the runoff.
The only way for them to be comparable is to enforce RCV voters to make choices instead of voting one person. Tell them that 1 choice will result in a null ballot.

Many countries have stricter laws compelling every citizen to vote.
