How is getting inactives to vote playing dirty? The whole point of this election was to get these inactives back on the site. I imagine a lot of them come back now with max as president.
Congratulations on the evolution of Dart to the next level.

That's pretty bad.

Lol, I never once said I cared if it got repealed nor did I advocate for repealing 230 other than under the umbrella of all crony corporate protections that I don't like when the government gives special protections from one monopoly to another.

Well he did say "Hoped" lol!
But yes. The realities of your post show that the Legislators at the founding KNEW a Nation without naturalization isn't really a nation at all. For a nation to exist there must be laws. For laws to apply there must be jurisdiction. For jurisdiction to apply there must be an established citizenry. It's an inevitable chain.

If there was no 230, all sites would be liable for those things.
Absolutely not anymore than the private colleges were held responsible for hosting the MSNBC hate speakers that Sandman sued. It's all a fantasy threat designed to grant specific government protections exclusively to a powerful company. Period.
That just would mean that 230 had no effect and it doesn't matter if it stays or goes.
Now you get it.

Says who, if I might ask?
“I had always hoped that this land might become a safe & agreeable Asylum to the virtuous & persecuted part of mankind, to whatever nation they might belong,”
-George Washington
"America offers a sanctuary for those whom the misrule of Europe may compel to seek happiness in other climes.”
“This refuge, once known, will produce reaction on the happiness even of those who remain there, by warning their taskmasters that when the evils of Egyptian oppression become heavier than those of the abandonment of country, another Canaan is open where their subjects will be received as brothers, and secured against like oppressions by a participation in the right of self-government.”
-Thomas Jefferson
"Through this Golden Door has come millions of men and women. These families came here to work. Others came to America and often harrowing conditions. They didn’t ask what this country could do for them but what they could do to make this refuge the greatest home of freedom in history. They brought with them courage and the values of family, work, and freedom."
-Reagan
“We really need people, but it has to be through a legal process and a process really of merit,”
"We do want people coming into our country. They have to come in legally.”
-Trump

As usual, the 30 percenters do not know what the word "citizen" means. ( hint, green card doesn't make you a citizen)

I think you should be able to immigrate for economic reasons without having to claim asylum.
This is a great point. What would legislation look like if you were to propose something workable people could agree on?
Created:

I don't see why they should have to wait in Mexico.
Because actual political asylum seekers (not economic refugees) are required by international law to register in the 1st country they enter.
I think it's part of the reason the SCOTUS told Biden to fuck off.

@Danielle
Are you suggesting we should model our government to be like Canada's, or that because Canada is more egalitarian we're supposed to assume they're right on immigration... but wrong on everything else?
I think in many ways Canada benefits on many levels from operating as a sovereign nation of established laws that also enforces its laws. America's immigration policies generally operate on the fringes of chaos and disorder, and comparing the rates of convictions of bogus asylum cases are just one metric of that trend. Libertarianism tends to operate unrestrained regarding immigration with zero actual regulations, and the country is definitely seeing problems with it, from a lack of civic responsibility to actual national security and health concerns such as a huge surge in unscreened infected people adding to the Covid infection rates. Canada sensibly has restricted immigration on the basis of health concerns while America dithers.
Would you like to debate that point?
Created:

@ILikePie5
Exactly. Canada per capita deports something like 5 times the amount of bogus economic asylum claims than the USA does. Why are we so much less concerned about sovereignty than Canada?

I was being facetious in reference to when Donald Trump called Ted Cruz's wife ugly (among other insults) and Cruz kissed his ass anyway.

Lockdowns and vaccinations are not really related though as vaccines don't slow the spread.
There's also no correlation between number of hospitalizations and deaths as we all know Omicron is far less deadly despite the record number of people getting infected and hospitalized for it. But at the same time that they overplayed the risks of Omicron, they downplayed the dangers and risks of Delta because it would have exposed the inefficacy of the original vaccines vs Delta.
Leaders have done a piss poor job of explaining why and when the number of cases put people at risk of death and when (Omicron) that risk isn't nearly as great.
They have also done a piss poor job of explaining at-risk categories particularly the factor of Obesity. I am sure hundreds of thousands of lives may have been saved over the years if a national effort were made to get people to lose weight. Nations with thinner people had amazingly less fatalities from Covid all across the board. Maybe it would haven't been politically correct, but it would have saved lives absolutely.
As far as the policies of lockdowns and removing kids from school, we are still evaluating the monumental social and economic cost of those policies for seemingly small returns as of now, so the jury is out on that.
Long story short. people have good reason not to trust what the government says about danger and risks.
Most certainly, they have no reason to expect the government to keep them safe.

That's not really a lot more than the USA 4 million which is more than enough to replace even the USA COVID deaths and then some.

My fascination isn’t Trump, it’s the people who look at him and think “yeah, that guy should be president”. Words cannot describe how absurd that is, but yet I find myself living in a world where half the country actually believes it. Why? Is it malice? Stupidity? All these years later, I’m still trying to figure it out.

Imagine having so much TDS that a scheduling conflict isn't an indication of having "better things to do"
The hilarious part is that it's all left wing pundits saying Biden is toxic, and yet that's still Trump's fault somehow...
There's no way those 30 percenters are going to convince me no matter what TDS delusional arguments they present that all those Democrats secretly love Trump.

Dear readers, it continues to be a fact various people chose to not attend. And by default that means they all had better things to do.
The lies used to Defend Biden continue to mount to clothe this emperor.
CNN has already planned a replacement for Biden and made that list before his first 365 days. Most leftists are ready to move on.
“Will there be a progressive challenger? Yes,” said Jeff Weaver, Sen. Bernie Sanders’ former presidential campaign manager.
"Liberals believe lesser-known candidates are more likely to primary Biden if he seeks a second term, such as former Sanders campaign co-chair Nina Turner, 2020 presidential candidate Marianne Williamson or millionaire and $18-an-hour minimum wage advocate Joe Sanberg. (or Abrams)
While Biden certainly won the election mainly for being not-Trump, the next president most assuredly in some form must also be "not-Biden"

That wasn't the question though. The question was did Epps work for the Feds. Not was Epps an informant.
If you agree that she KNEW Epps either worked for the Feds or did not, that was the worst answer possible to give if you wanted to dispel any suspicions against the FBI.
A simple "no" or "not to my knowledge" would have been worlds better than that bullshit answer.
Created:
Posted in:
First off, she could legitimately not know the answer to how many informants were present on January 6 and therefore she would be unable to answer honestly
So your theory is that she is an idiot. Ok.
I would have at least thought she would have known if Epps was an FBI asset or not. And if she knew Epps was not an FBI agent, this is entirely the most inappropriate response from the FBI: To say that she CANT ANSWER that Epps is not an FBI asset.
With obfuscation like that, who needs tinfoil hats?
