It's because I love my Country that I want US to keep our promises .. otherwise, we may as well be Russia, or China finding tiny, shameful excuses not to keep our word.  Doesn't it embarrass you, what we've become ?

I'm much more embarrassed for Cuba for not honoring the treaty they signed. But what can you expect from a nation with no honor or law?

None of the embassies on USA soil are "guests" ...They are a result of legal agreements between Nations.

Treaties were signed and agreements were made. If you don't honor treaties, you don't honor anyone. Then we can be the Banana republic on the hill that forgot what it was like to live in a lawful society with rules.

You don’t know physiology + the knee was on the lower neck/upper back. The prosecution was all over the place first referring to a blood choke and working their way back moving the goalposts everytime.

Many sites I did research on said you needed around 200 pounds of force on the side of your neck to start constricting the trachea located at the front of the neck.

Take a wild guess as to how much force is required to show occult trauma in the neck?

Not even Dr. King advocated resisting arrest. Resisting arrest means you don't respect the entire legal system. You can resist certain laws without destroying the system of all laws.

What the resist arrest crowd wants is a dismantling of our entire system of laws. What a disaster.

There are actually 3 premises going on here that are totally disgusting.

1) Racism is a much more grievous crime than resisting arrest.
2) Having Black skin makes you genetically vulnerable to police encounters and it's the only viable reason why they must resist arrest.
3) Oppressed people should never be arrested, no matter what criminal behavior they display.

What’s your stance on torture?
Anything restricting freedom could be construed as torture, unless you are a loyal Statist.

That said, America treats thugs better than anywhere else on the planet. I guarantee if we handed all those Terrorists over to Poland or Saudi Arabia, it would be the end of the problem. Permanently.

When we have tens of thousands of black and Latino cops, you're telling me not one killed a white guy for being white? And how many blacks are killed for being black per decade? One? Because all the cases that BLM touts like Michael Brown end up being justified shootings when actual forensic data is shown (he was trying to steal the cop's gun)
When a POC does that, its reparations, not racism :D

That's why in liberal clown world POC riots are peaceful demonstrations and looting is grief shopping for reparations.

BLM has been the best race hustle on American society since Tawana Brawley

BLM has far surpassed the millions of dollarsJesse Jackson and Al Sharpton were able to hustle out of the white sheep. One of the co-founders has multiple multi-million dollar houses. It's all in the news. Talk about reparations for "oppression" lol!

here are some fun facts.
1) Legal Nigerian immigrants are the wealthiest class out of all the classes in America.
2) The Wealthiest actor in all of American history is Samuel Jackson.
3) 3 of the Wealthiest athletes of all time are Black American athletes.

@Danielle
That's like saying if someone shot me, but I have asthma, that I COULD HAVE died from an asthma attack that just-so-happened to coincide with the exact same moment that I got shot.
I agree, in this case getting shot is swallowing a bunch of pills, and the asthma attack was about 70 pounds max force applied to the back of a 250-pound man to keep him from hurting himself. Floyd was probably going to die from the OD alone without serious intervention.

Like Derek Chauvin literally made the intentional and calculated decision to continue kneeling on Floyd's neck while he lay vulnerable and unconscious. That seems like a depraved mind to me.
That's not at all apparent that he thought in any way he was going to kill him. He was weighing the risks of letting him flail about with the risks of restraining him, and I really don't think he knew how vulnerable Floyd was and didn't know how many drugs he took to make him so vulnerable. Not with the amount of certainty to convict on murder.

Manslaughter should have been the only thing pushed here, but I wonder if the Jury won't convict knowing Chauvin got overcharged?

He kept his knee on Floyd's neck for several minutes after acknowledging there was no pulse. You think that's okay???
About as okay if I lightly tap your neck with my hand light enough to leave no detectable mark as you succumb to an overdose of drugs. The defense doesn't have to prove Floyd wasn't asphyxiated though, They just have to prove kneeling on him wasn't the conclusive ONE reason he died which is a lot easier to prove.

I have looked pretty hard for evidence that you can suffocate a person with a knee without leaving a mark and found no cases where it was possible without leaving some trauma evidence. The neck has plenty of fragile soft tissue that will show erupted blood vessels under the force required to stop airflow to the trachea. It's impossible to stop a person from breathing from the back without breaking multiple ribs. The point is he might have contributed to his death but he certainly did not cause it alone.

I would be more than willing to see what evidence you found though.

I think manslaughter is the only charge that makes sense because Chauvin could have been shown to know that a person MIGHT have been on drugs, so restraining from the back could have been shown to have been negligent homicide under that case, but it's most certainly not murder 2 or 3. Just like that female cop is getting charged with manslaughter.

After all, we are social beings by nature.
Yes. After all, Capitalism is a valid form of social interaction with millions of individual voluntary contracts. A form of social interaction from a Centrally Planned economy where a few contracts are mandated by an oligarchy is valid as well. It's just that one system historically leads to massive suffering and an exodus to countries with the other system. Even Nordic countries aren't stupid enough to eliminate private options and private contracting. Nordic schools have more private schools per person than the USA.

You can take care of the poor without forcing everyone to suffer under a centrally planned dystopia.

well, those guys are obviously idiots because police unions ARE a powerful lobby. And lobbies are bad m'kay?

Chauvin is actually NOT GUILTY just because Floyd was on drugs when he was victimized which is crazy.
Nah, I was riding shotgun on the lynch bus for Chauvin right up until I saw the autopsy report with no evidence of any tissue damage AT ALL anywhere on his back or neck, not even occult trauma.

Everyone should be emphatic about the need for police reform.

Nice rant. Is your point that we should have more SCOTUS decisions mandating Officers like the Parkland Coward to make more arrests instead of saying "nah"?

Pretty sure less arrests is the whole point of defund the police movement.

The fact still remains every officer that chose to arrest a violent criminal chose to put his life on the line even if it wasn't mandated. If EVERY cop cared about themselves, no arrests of criminals demonstrating criminal behavior would ever be made. And indeed, in most liberal dystopias, most of the police just let them go cause black-on-black crime doesn't affect their job security.

Is it? How? What potential bodily harm does driving off in your car present to a police officer?
The police officer is far more worried about criminal activity on society than personal safety, otherwise, there would be no arrests.

Just let every criminal activity slide and let everyone go. Far less risky to the life of a police officer to do that.

That's not how the presumption of innocence is supposed to work.
Presumption of innocence doesn't trump the authority to arrest someone before a trial, otherwise mandatory Jailings and bail would be illegal.

It's not a reason for a cop to fire a taser, and it isn't 'resisting arrest' to ask these basic questions.
No, but driving off in your car is.

But I have to hold bootlickers accountable as well. People who say things like "why would you run from the cops???" Well, for starters, they can't tell their glock from their taser.
All the more reason not to give them a reason to fire their "Taser." But I do like the resist authority attitude, makes me think there can be an actual storming of the Capitol and not that fake shit.

I don't hate cops. I detest the blue wall of silence and all the protections police officers get at society's expense, which allows them to get away with murder (literally) and other crimes with impunity. All the time. This is something EVERYONE should hate, especially people who claim to be wary of big government and automatic compliance with authority. But ironically those are the people who tend to wanna deepthroat the shit out of cop's boots. Very weird.

Also my contempt is starting to go down now that society is paying attention and starting to take meaningful action thanks to activists.

Police unions are going nowhere. A few people resigning isn't fixing the underlying problem.

There are just far too many leftists screaming "mah unions" for there to be any lasting reform.

The patient is not entitled to the work of the doctor.
Which is why doctors leave when the state centrally plans the contracts between doctors and patients.

but we don't see any moral issue with that.
Lol, are you hiding under a rock? Maybe you are white. Even before the police riots, people were generally dissatisfied with the incompetence of the police services, especially in large cities where police unions were allowed unfettered to bypass any check of centrally planned mismanagement.

Without society, you are screwed
Without a check on the mismanagement of centrally planned societies, you are doubly screwed. Getting your healthcare at the DMV isn't something most people want.

the main factor for quality of care is the number of doctors a country has.
So let's abolish licensing and make everyone a doctor.

Also, how many doctors will it take to reduce the number of fat people that died from covid?

Should fat people pay more for health insurance since they use a lot more of it? How about smokers?

Why must the skinny, healthy people pay to keep fatties alive?

Here is a sample of one of Germany's various healthcare laws (acts)

I want you to pay careful note of how many pages it is. When is the last time the American Congress passed anything less than 100 pages? Obamacare and the corresponding regulations were what...8000+ pages?

The problem is with the lobbies that write the laws instead of congresspeople.

Germany's public option on the other hand seems like a viable path.  I'd be behind that for us.
Germany has nowhere near similar levels of corruption and problems with armies of parasitic lobbyists writing legislation thousands of pages long.
