The amount of time Congress members have had to appear on MSM to explain their actions is objectively much more the past 4 years than during the 8 years of Obama.
That's a really big deal considering most people wrongly believe the president is the most powerful person in government.
The reform of the FBI alone is enough reason to justify the existence of the fucking orange clown, but reforming the Congress by holding them accountable for fucking the country up the past 47 years is a big win for American Democracy.
It's a long tradition for the president to be the faceman for the Congress and shield them from the public eye. That ended in 2016 and the untouchable elites are fucking PISSED.

We have done what we can for those particular conditions.
Funny thing is, the best cures for Heart disease is also the best defense for Covid. Funny how that works. Diet. Exercise, manage your health risks, live a less stressful life ignoring what CNN demands you to get stressed out over. Those things.
heart disease and cancer are fairly well understood in comparison to Covid-19. It's not the best idea to let something rampage through society without knowing the full extent of long term impacts.
An absolutely rational approach. The vast majority had no problems with a lockdown till about May when the numbers were available to better evaluate death risks, at-risk groups, and also better evaluate hospital surges. To know who really needed hospital care and who could go home and fight it off.

Okay, while I’m not certain, because he’s been given credit for a lot of other stuff a lot of other people said like “the coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco,” I think it was Mark Twain who wrote the story about a poor white southerner who bragged he was descended from royalty. From the look and manner of the man, most thought his claim was a royal overstatement.
However, it turned out to be true. He was descended from royalty — an African chief. Not exactly the kind of nobility a white in the nineteenth-century Deep South could relate to — or be related to.
Anyway, I thought about that story after doing a bit of research that showed I am a Negro.
Before African Americans were African Americans or black Americans, they were Negroes or colored people; not to be confused with people of color. And from the time Negroes got the vote after the Civil War, they voted Republican. Lincoln was a Republican. Lincoln freed the slaves. Who would you vote for?
They voted that way till President Herbert Hoover (the guy who had the dam named after him) ran for a second term kicking off the Great Depression.
Hoovervilles — shantytowns for formerly middle class, now homeless Americans — were also named after him in honor of his contribution to poverty. Today, however, Hoover is best known for inventing the vacuum cleaner.
Anyway, according to FactCheck.org, a nonpartisan, nonprofit project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania, an organization that monitors political factual accuracy, it was to defeat Hoover that Negroes started voting solidly for Democrats. That was in 1932.
And, Negroes continued voting Democratic for the next three decades. But aside from school desegregation — which was ordered by the Supreme Court, not the Democratic Party — what did Democrats do for Negroes for the thirty years from 1932 to the first major legislation benefiting African Americans, the Civil Rights Act of 1964?
Not much.
So why was the Democratic Party able to count on the Negro vote? Well, who the hell else were they going to vote for?
Last election I voted for President Obama because he made a number of promises that resonated with me. Of that list, what has he done for me?
He sent Osama Bin Laden for a dirt nap in the Arabian Sea. And there’s healthcare. Okay, it wasn’t universal, single-payer and there are enough loopholes for insurance and drug companies to make you sick. But it passed.
And there’s also…. That’s about it.
On the other hand, Mr. Obama, who has the charisma of John Kennedy and the rhetorical flourish of Winston Churchill, let extreme conservatives who can barely manage more than monosyllables (with tutoring) set the nation’s agenda. So, instead of fixing infrastructure to create jobs, talk is of balanced budgets and tax cuts and killing entitlements people are entitled to. Oil companies drive drivers dotty, driving prices up when there’s an abundance of oil and driving them up when there’s a scarcity. Wars continue and nobody can quite say what the point is now that Bin Laden’s been blasted. People, who got bailed out of debt instead of jail, are still running the financial institutions that are running roughshod.

No doubt, he was a great cheerleader and confidence promoter, but you can't look back on any metric that showed any policy that improved Black Lives over his 8 years.
Not a single policy. What a wasted opportunity of a political mandate.
But that's par for the course for an establishment politician too afraid to tackle things that could possibly backfire. I don't blame Obama for being a chickenshit.
Every career politician is a deflecting chickenshit.
The real sad thing is that even the best chickenshit career politician couldn't (wouldn't) do a goddamn thing for Blacks in 8 years with a solid mandate and 2 years of a supermajority of Congress, and I voted for Obama to do that, like many others. Obama wasn't a bad president. Obama could have been a great, courageous president.
Instead, he settled for mediocrity.

- Obama did nothing to create economic opportunity zones in Black Communities. Obama ignored the Blacks competing for the low wage jobs monopolized by illegal immigrants in inner sanctuary cities. Obama offered no actual solutions for Black unemployment, Black fatherlessness, and Black violence.

As an aside because you mentioned the flu, I don't know if you've heard, but New Zealand has near eliminated the flu as a consequence of the covid-19 lockdown.
It's a morbid thing to study since researchers believe most of the people who would have died from the flu are dying from Covid before the flu can take hold.
Sadly, Cancer and heart disease still makes Covid look like kiddie land.
3 million Americans died every year without a passing mention before the media decided to instruct us to be paralytically afraid of 200,000 Covid deaths.
4 million people are born every year in America without a single happy mention from the media either.
Perspective isn't rational or necessary if you are trusting the corporate media to do your personal risk assessment for you. And there are certainly no shortages of sycophants to the American Tech Giants.

Good question. Did a complete lockdown help Spain (a country purported to have the most draconian lockdown policies) as far as death rates go?
Did Countries with no Lockdown have significantly higher death rates than Spain?
That's how you decide if the Disease justifies the draconian Cure.
Spain has 35,000 deaths (just a tad bit more than New York)
With a population of 47,431,256. compared to 328,239,523 Americans. 1/7 the population. 7 times 35000 = 243,670 extrapolated Spanish Covid Deaths adjusting for population.

You're just explaining why Obama would have been a better preacher or a life coach than a president. Presidents are remembered by how the country changed, and it wasn't that great under his 8 years. Especially the economy. BLM was created under Obama's administration which also helped to give rise to the terror group Antifa. Obama supported the radical anti-police groups by publicly shaming the police multiple times. Obama did nothing to create economic opportunity zones in Black Communities.
