The last time that happened, Obamacare was rammed down our throats where they had to make it a law before we were allowed to see what it was.

Absolutely the latter. You can tell from Trump's early forays with Congress that he truly had no idea that Congress (both parties) says one thing but votes another thing.
There was a time when he thought he could work with Pelosi. Pelosi smashed his aspirations like melted ice cream from her fridge. The slow transformation of Trump from cautious optimist to absolute cynic when dealing with D.C. Congress reads like a modern-day Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. It's sad but inevitable.
Trump has been the most investigated president in the history of US presidents for corruption. I can comfortably say it's more likely than not that he isn't corrupt to any notable degree.

How does the NYT know all of Trumpy's assets? Not just the ones on the tax return.

Four Legal Ways to Hide Assets from the IRS:
Homestead – Some states provide exemptions from collections from anyone regarding your home. Florida in particular is noted as the most generous. If you have $1 million dollars cash and use it to purchase a home that you will reside in, in Florida, you have just protected that $1 million dollars from the IRS until you decide to sell of course.
Precious Metals – This only works if you purchase say gold coins and then lock them up somewhere safe. Of course, the US Government could change the law to make owning gold illegal again as they did during the great depression.
Trusts – Setting up an International Asset Protection Trust in the right jurisdiction is the best way to not only hide money from the IRS but to hide it from anyone, as well as transfer wealth to your heirs tax-free.

. Do you think Trump is richer than the NYT says he is and actually avoiding more taxes than previously reported, or do you believe he is in more financial dire straits than he would like everyone to believe with a lot of his wealth being a façade? It can't be both.

it depends on what narrative the media wants to push to manufacture the outrage that drives TV media ratings.
One month they might want to show how he is rich and out of touch with the people narrative and the next month they might want to push that he is poor because he is incompetent narrative.

Not according to his tax returns reported in the New York Times. His properties are losing money (hence his push to have foreign diplomats stay at his properties). He has also had to pay millions in court fees and compensation because of court cases like his "fraudulent charity" case and his paid-for-but-never built condominiums. I think he has much less than you think. He only paid $750.00 dollars in total taxes each year in 2016 and 2017. Who pays that little? Just because his deals involve large dollar amounts, does mean he makes any money. You know he's had several bankruptcies (6 between 1991 and 2009). His businesses keep failing. He talk a big story. He uses other people's money build flashy things and then files for bankruptcy and leaves everyone hanging
All of this may be true, but there is no possible way a TV reporter will reliably tell you what Trump's assets are.

The actual truth is the person with the most power in America is the Leader of the Senate followed by the Speaker of the House.
The President is, and always has been, the 3rd most powerful person in Government.
If you read the powers outlined by the Constitution, you would know this.
Almost everything Trump wanted to do in his first term was held up in Congress. It is Congress that has all of the power, and it is the reason why there will be no Covid relief checks until after the election. Trump has no power over that.

They may not care about us, but they care about their own personal work ethic, their integrity, their families who are listening. Again, some have integrity, some do not. I think most of them have more integrity than Trump.
Absolutely. I do not trust any reporter on Fox to care about the things I care about. They live in a completely different world from me.
Integrity only matters inasmuch as it affects job security, and it is clear that it does not matter since TV journalists never get fired for spreading misinformation solely to increase viewer counts. In fact, they get rewarded with money the more ridiculous their integrity gets stretched. I triple source out anything I hear from a TV journalist, no matter what the network is.

But I think they care about themselves, their families, their friends and their work associates. I think this makes many of them try to be objective and honest.
These TV journalists make more a month than you will make in your entire lifetime. More in a month than 4 years of the president's salary.
They care about making money and putting on a good act. With that much money, they don't have to come close to worrying about the things you normally worry about from day-to-day. They make that much money.

President Donald Trump is walking back what he said during an April 23 coronavirus press briefing about using disinfectants to treat COVID-19 patients.
"I was asking a very sarcastic question to the reporters in the room about disinfectant on the inside," he said during a briefing in the Oval Office on April 24. "But it does kill it, and it would kill it on the hands, and that would make things much better. That was done in the form of a sarcastic question to the reporters."
The president first posed the question April 23 after William Bryan, undersecretary for science and technology at the Department of Homeland Security, presented a study that found sun exposure and cleaning agents like bleach have an adverse effect on the coronavirus. Bryan was referring to the use of disinfectants on surfaces and in aerosols, but Trump asked whether the chemicals could be used in a potential COVID-19 treatment, as well.
Some websites and social media users took that question to mean the president was recommending people inject themselves with bleach or isopropyl alcohol, an ingredient in hand sanitizer. But others said Trump meant something very different — that doctors could investigate whether using sunlight or disinfectants could clear the virus in patients.
Regardless, Trump’s remarks caused some companies and state agencies to issue warnings about ingesting disinfectants. The maker of Lysol said in a statement that "under no circumstance" should its products be used in the human body.
Given the confusion over what Trump said during the briefing, we wanted to check the transcript to get the full context.
What Trump said about disinfectants
After Bryan’s presentation, Trump floated the idea of using disinfectants to treat COVID-19 patients. He did not say Americans should ingest chemicals to prevent or treat the virus.
Here’s the full context:
"A question that probably some of you are thinking of if you’re totally into that world, which I find to be very interesting. So, supposedly we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light, and I think you said that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it. And then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. (To Bryan) And I think you said you’re going to test that, too. Sounds interesting, right?"
"And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful."
Later, Trump clarified his comments after a reporter asked Bryan whether disinfectants could actually be injected into COVID-19 patients.
"It wouldn’t be through injections, almost a cleaning and sterilization of an area. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn’t work, but it certainly has a big effect if it’s on a stationary object."
It’s not clear what part of that discussion he was characterizing as a "sarcastic question" to reporters.
What Trump said about sunlight
Bryan said the DHS study found that sunlight has an adverse effect on the coronavirus. So Trump asked whether there was some way to use sunlight in COVID-19 patients.
But as with his comments on disinfectants, the president stopped short of saying sunlight can cure the coronavirus. Here’s the full context:
Trump: "I hope people enjoy the sun, and if it has an impact, that’s great. I’m just hearing this, not really for the first time. I mean, there’s been a rumor, a very nice rumor, that you go outside in the sun or you have heat, and it does have an effect on other viruses. But now we get it from one of the great laboratories of the world, I have to say. Covers a lot more territory than just this. This is probably an easy thing, relatively speaking, for you.
"I would like you to speak to the medical doctors to see if there’s any way that you can apply light and heat to cure. You know? If you could? And maybe you can, maybe you can’t. Again, I say maybe you can, maybe you can’t. I’m not a doctor. But I’m a person that has a good… You know what. Deborah, have you ever heard of that? The heat and the light relative to certain viruses, yes, but relative to this virus?"
Dr. Deborah Birx: "Not as a treatment. I mean, certainly fever is a good thing. When you have a fever, it helps your body respond. But, I’ve not seen heat or light as a —"
Trump: "I think that’s a great thing to look at. OK?"
