@Barney
That's odd considering Jeff Flake has identical Mormon values as Mitt and also went alone against public support to criticize Trump.
Created:
Yeah devotees will hate him forever because he broke dogma by acknowledging the possibility for Trump to make a mistake.
The problem is that the impeachment was never about Trump making a mistake. Clearly there were a plethora of vocal Republican Congressmen more than willing to point out Trump's mistakes, but impeaching a president for what was essentially a difference of opinion on political policy was a destructive precedent 99% of Republicans and a few Democrats refused to cross when they got to that Rubicon.
The fact that Romney stood alone shows that he places such concepts in lower regard to his core Mormon beliefs. That's extremely dangerous in a leader. Someone who has even more dogmatic religious beliefs far outside the Overton window than any of his peers would embrace.

Yeah devotees will hate him forever because he broke dogma by acknowledging the possibility for Trump to make a mistake, so probably never going to be a front runner again, but still someone who could easily secure my vote. I'd certainly vote for him over Clinton, Biden, and various others.
Would you say the same for Jeff Flake?

Nearly 40% of all colleges in the USA have 0% conservative professors. That means 40% of "educated" people have never learned anything except one side of every issue. That's certainly not the hallmark of an intelligent person, or even a measure of education in the classical meaning of education.
A degree from an American Institution today is a dubious stigma, especially given how our graduates compared with other nation's graduates on every measure of intelligence and cognitive thinking.
"Some 17,000,000 Americans with college degrees are doing jobs that the Bureau of Labor Statistics says require less than the skill levels associated with a bachelor's degree." These alumns are becoming flight attendants, retail sales people, and even shampooers at hair salons."
In reality, college is such a lucrative business model that it is in their corporate interests to make the curriculum as easy as possible to secure more federal aid. The mere fact that many students actually STAYED all 4-5 years in some overpriced colleges racking up unsustainable debt calls their economic intelligence into question.
American college graduates are ranked below 15 nations and far below global averages on critical skills, which should really come as no surprise since our K-12 system falls way below the global average. Thanks must be conferred on the very biased educational system that produces indoctrinated people loyal to the education industry complex and not to their nation or themselves. Students are indoctrinated to support public education unions that puts teacher's interests over the students. It's really disgusting for educators to then go and label that as a mark of an "intelligent" person. It's like proudly wearing the armband of the Nazis, just allegiance to a different kind of power- the education industrial complex.

I mean, he is a liberal, so I wouldn’t expect him to vote for a nationalist, true conservative candidate like we would like lol. That is why I separated questions based on politics. So yeah, he picked liberal-type Republicans, or as we would call them RINOs.

The left relies on echo chambers instead of logic and reason.
The quarantine has forced Leftist TV hosts to operate without the echo chamber (their audience)
The interviews and the dialogue can't push fake left narratives without the echo chamber.
Watch how Maher is continually uncomfortably lost without his clapping audience.

My idea is if they commit abortion, they should give 250 ml of blood; the amount necessary to save someone else. Take a life, save a life.
They already donate fetal bodyparts.

6 million voters in two places don’t decide the course of the nation. Location does matter because each region’s culture is different obviously there are going to be some that are alienated. But the goal is to get a majority of the cultures which Trump did. He got the South, Maine 2nd, Midwest, Great Plains, Southwest. The only region he didn’t get is the West Coast. Democrats got Northeast, West Coast, A bit of Midwest, and some of Southwest. Trump has more appeal representatively.
The argument against the EC is so flawed on many levels due to the fact opposing ideologies in overwhelming liberal enclaves usually don't bother to spend time and money to vote when they know the outcome is already assured. Trump once said if the rules were to get the popular vote, he would have spent more than zero campaign stops in California. Outlawing the EC won't stop populist outsider candidates from defeating establishment fossils like Hillary and Biden.
Hillary and Biden are the toxic leftovers for the DNC like McCain and Romney were for the GOP.

RINOS like McShame and Romney McBain are toxic for the country, and the Republicans went through 8 years of getting their ass beat before they realized they needed to kick the RINOS out of the party.

Why do you regard the people of the U.S.A. as immaterial?
The extra 4 million California votes are immaterial. California is a cesspool and a cancerous state. The EC keeps California from having the power to destroy the nation on its own.
Think of the EC as a naval ship with watertight doors. In case one compartment gets flooded with insane people, we can limit the destruction to just that state.

Good fences make good neighbors.
Something there is that doesn't love a wall,
That sends the frozen-ground-swell under it,
And spills the upper boulders in the sun;
And makes gaps even two can pass abreast.
The work of hunters is another thing:
I have come after them and made repair
Where they have left not one stone on a stone,
But they would have the rabbit out of hiding,
To please the yelping dogs. The gaps I mean,
No one has seen them made or heard them made,
But at spring mending-time we find them there.
I let my neighbor know beyond the hill;
And on a day we meet to walk the line
And set the wall between us once again.
We keep the wall between us as we go.
To each the boulders that have fallen to each.
And some are loaves and some so nearly balls
We have to use a spell to make them balance:
‘Stay where you are until our backs are turned!’
We wear our fingers rough with handling them.
Oh, just another kind of out-door game,
One on a side. It comes to little more:
There where it is we do not need the wall:
He is all pine and I am apple orchard.
My apple trees will never get across
And eat the cones under his pines, I tell him.
He only says, ‘Good fences make good neighbors.’
Spring is the mischief in me, and I wonder
If I could put a notion in his head:
‘Why do they make good neighbors? Isn't it
Where there are cows? But here there are no cows.
Before I built a wall I'd ask to know
What I was walling in or walling out,
And to whom I was like to give offense.
Something there is that doesn't love a wall,
That wants it down.’ I could say ‘Elves’ to him,
But it's not elves exactly, and I'd rather
He said it for himself. I see him there
Bringing a stone grasped firmly by the top
In each hand, like an old-stone savage armed.
He moves in darkness as it seems to me,
Not of woods only and the shade of trees.
He will not go behind his father's saying,
And he likes having thought of it so well
He says again, ‘Good fences make good neighbors.’

Somehow, the math just doesn't work.
The math works fine.
Hillary beat Trump by 4.3 million votes in Californa, but it's the same effect as if Hillary beat Trump by 1 vote.
Trump spent zero campaign stops in California knowing full well he would probably lose by 3 million more votes than if he invested time stopped to campaign in California.
But he didn't, because he would rather win the election than become popular in California, even though it's where much of the MSM is headquartered.

Culture has squat to do with electing presidents
That's objectively a false statement. The cultural battle in the Democratic party is proof.
Created:

@ATroubledMan
If you say there are only Democrats in one state and only Republicans in another state, then you might have a valid point. However, there are Democrats and Republican in every state. Culture has squat to do with electing presidents, that is, unless one decides to vote based on their culture rather than the qualifications of the presidential candidates.
You are suggesting all democrats are monolithic, which clearly is not the case as you will soon discover when the Bernie Bros refuse to vote for Biden in 2020 by large swaths.
That rift has way more to do with geographic cultural location and nothing to do with party affiliation.

USA is a union of states. Elections are done with a plurality of states for the sole reason that the union will fall apart if States do not get equal say.
Imagine elections being decided with a supermajority of 2 or 3 large states. That would be the end of the union. States are unique cultural entities and not monolithic as some on the left pretend.

The fact of the matter is, this book is objectively bad. Not bad as in evil, but bad as in exhibiting poor craftsmanship. The storytelling is ineffective, incoherent and nonsensical. The conflicts are contrived, the characters are soulless and Katniss' motivation becomes overpowered by the author's need to wrap up the rebellion.
In the end, Katniss' character is on the receiving end of the most horrific assassinations in the book. Throughout the last 2/3rds of the book, she is reacting in a numb, zombie-like state as the events of the world close in around her. She has no clear motive, her self-sacrifice at the beginning of the Hunger Games turns into a muddled and confused array of reactions and rash decisions. Good authors give the lead character a choice in which there are two equally compelling options. In the end of this book, Katniss generally either has no choice or the ones that she makes are obvious.
