@DBlaze
The bad conditions were manufactured by Congress that didn't fix the laws that encouraged the trafficking of kids in exchange for a get into the usa free card. Congress did not fund the holding camps adequately as well, then blamed Trump for a fuckup Congress created.

This really has nothing to do with Obama or Trump. These kids were going to be trafficked regardless of the president.

The only blame Trump can possibly have is that he increased the demand for trafficked kids by improving the economy.

Purely watching the pundits and the media (who always work with the people in charge of the DNC)... Tulsi won't make it.

Also it's by pure design that Liz was not there to take the 2 men down. Kamala will do it and piss off the Bernie and the Joe diehards, which will then swing to Liz. Game over.

I'm just going straight by external forces. Liz has the external force advantage, which is huge because of the way the DNC assigns superdelegates.

Iran's Aggression
-->
@Dr.Franklin
The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps shot down the RQ-4 Global Hawk over Iranian airspace on Thursday. Following that, Commander of the IRGC Major General Hossein Salami stressed that the move should alert Washington officials to stay away.
The incident sent “a clear message” to the US and other enemies that Iran will show a firm and crushing response to any aggression, Salami stated.
Under such circumstances, the President of the United States has basically lost his control over the situation. This is one of the main reasons for Trump’s insistence on holding direct talks with Iran at any time and without preconditions.
The fact is that one of Trump’s main goals of economic confrontation with Iran was to put the Islamic Republic of Iran under constant pressure. However, it seems that Trump has made a terrible mistake in this regard! It should not be forgotten that the Islamic Republic of Iran can prevent the widespread impact of these sanctions on its economy through crisis management and effective consultation with other international players.
The fact is that the only reason for the crisis has been the departure of the United States from an international agreement. On the other hand, Donald Trump’s government has imposed sanctions against Iran, which has shown little commitment to international treaties.
Donald Trump is currently being addressed as a suspect and political offender in the United States! The president of the United States has become the symbol of Washington’s complete defeat against Tehran. Perhaps the day that Donald Trump had left the nuclear deal with Iran, he never imagined that he would reach such a point!
Without a doubt, the trump cannot blame the people in this complex equation, such as John Bolton and Mike Pompeo! Trump is the main culprit for the complete failure of the United States against Iran. On the other hand, the Islamic Republic of Iran has shown that it stands against all of the US conspiracies with its full potential.

No do-overs.

When you lose multiple wars prepare to lose your land. Maybe if Palestine didn't suck so bad at wars they wouldn't have lost their land, just like every empire that lost their land. Maybe if Britain didn't suck so bad at war they would be the largest nation on the planet.

No do-overs.

Rocket attacks on Israel
Rocket attacks by Hamas have been condemned by Human rights organizations as war crimes, both because they usually take aim at civilians and because the weapons' inaccuracy would disproportionately endanger civilians even if military targets were chosen. After Operation Pillar of Defense, Human Rights Watch stated that armed Palestinian groups fired hundreds of rockets at Israeli cities, violating international humanitarian law, and that statements by Palestinian groups that they deliberately targeted Israeli civilians demonstrated an "intent to commit war crimes". HRW's Middle East director Sarah Leah Whitson said that Palestinian groups made clear that "harming civilians was their aim" and said that launching rockets at populated areas had no legal justification. International humanitarian law prohibits deliberate attacks on civilians and intentional violations can be war crimes.[390]

According to Human Rights Watch, Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups have launched thousands of rockets into Israel since 2001, killing 15 civilians, wounding many more, and posing an ongoing threat to the nearly 800,000 Israeli civilians who live and work in the weapons' range. Hamas officials have said that the rockets were aimed only at military targets, saying that civilian casualties were the "accidental result" of the weapons' poor quality. According to Human Rights Watch, statements by Hamas leaders suggest that the purpose of the rocket attacks was indeed to strike civilians and civilian objects. From January 2009, following Operation Cast Lead, Hamas largely stopped launching rocket attacks on Israel and has on at least two occasions arrested members of other groups who have launched rockets, "showing that it has the ability to impose the law when it wants".[391] In February 2010, Hamas issued a statement regretting any harm that may have befallen Israeli civilians as a result of Palestinian rocket attacks during the Gaza war. It maintained that its rocket attacks had been aimed at Israeli military targets but lacked accuracy and hence sometimes hit civilian areas. Israel responded that Hamas had boasted repeatedly of targeting and murdering civilians in the media.[392]

According to one report, commenting on the 2014 conflict, "nearly all the 2,500–3,000 rockets and mortars Hamas has fired at Israel since the start of the war seem to have been aimed at towns", including an attack on "a kibbutz collective farm close to the Gaza border", in which an Israeli child was killed.[393] Former Israeli Lt. Col. Jonathan D. Halevi stated that "Hamas has expressed pride in aiming long-range rockets at strategic targets in Israel including the nuclear reactor in Dimona, the chemical plants in Haifa, and Ben-Gurion Airport", which "could have caused thousands" of Israeli casualties "if successful".[394]

In July 2008 Barack Obama, then the Democratic presidential candidate, said: "If somebody was sending rockets into my house, where my two daughters sleep at night, I'm going to do everything in my power to stop that, and I would expect Israelis to do the same thing."[395] On December 28, 2008, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said in a statement: "the United States strongly condemns the repeated rocket and mortar attacks against Israel."[396] On March 2, 2009, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton condemned the attacks.[397]

For the 2nd debate...Joe and Bernie will both lead off saying they are the only ones that can beat Trump, and that will set everyone else off on them. You can expect Swalwell to explode on joe and bernie for having zero intersectionality, being too old, and for having no good fresh ideas. Kamala will follow up. You should see both their numbers dropping after that.

2nd debate will be far, far more interesting.

What should we do about student loans?
-->
@n8nrgmi
If government is going to be in the business of subsidizing, yes they should put a cap on tuitions, seeing as they are the ones paying the bill.

If a university wants to not have a cap, then they can forgo government subsidies.

To be fair she did get a LOT of easy questions to start off the debate, and her base isnt the kind to flip to another candidate willy nilly.

This is why I feel so strongly that she is going to be the winner. Just by noticing the gentle waves and nudges from external sources, subtle enough not to be noticed by most people. The fact that she gets a bye with Joe and Bernie says alot.

And Obama will endorse Liz at the most opportune time.

@triangle.128k

I see your point, but local colleges are a decent bandaid for deteriorating cities struggling to keep the good people from leaving.

Perhaps colleges should be forced to be upfront about the ROI numbers. (return on investment) specifically breaking down the ROI's by degree choices at each college.

Competition is good in moderation.

Restricting competition hurts all of society. There's no such thing as too much competition. It is the only mechanism society has to improve life in a chaotic universe.

Poor people don't need shitty dead end jobs like McDonalds, they need opportunities to gain valuable job skills by working for less pay in return for job skill training.

Union monopolies do NOT want that kind of competition, so  they abolish right to work laws and enforce minimum wage to make sure the poor stays under the table feasting on the scraps the government allows them to have...but never a chance to sit at the table through opportunities for self improvement.

Big Universities are not too big to fail. Yank the subsidies and protections. Allow students to declare bankruptcy. No more government handouts or government loans. Let's see if the tuitions stay at 100k a year.

If you are industrious enough to study hard enough to get a scholarship, you are also industrious enough to work your way through school.
