Recently, a significant portion of Teamsters union members have shown strong support for Donald Trump in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. Polls indicate that nearly 60% of the union's rank-and-file members back Trump, compared to around 31% supporting Kamala Harris. Despite this, the Teamsters union leadership has opted not to officially endorse either candidate, citing a lack of strong commitments from both Trump and Harris on key union issues, such as supporting strikes and avoiding interference in union campaigns.
This non-endorsement is notable given the union's historical tendency to back Democratic candidates, and it highlights internal tensions, as Trump’s pro-worker platform resonates with many in the Teamsters, especially among its male, non-college-educated members. However, Harris has secured endorsements from other major unions and some local Teamster chapters, especially in key swing states.
The union’s leadership emphasized that its decision not to endorse a candidate was driven by feedback from its members, who expressed strong support for Trump, but neither candidate made commitments that the leadership deemed sufficient for an official endorsement

Governor Gavin Newsom recently signed a series of bills aimed at combating the use of AI-generated content, specifically deepfakes, in political ads and communications. The primary focus of this legislation is to prevent the spread of disinformation during elections. The new law prohibits the creation and distribution of AI-generated deepfakes that manipulate candidates or election officials in a misleading way within 120 days of an election and for 60 days afterward. This is in response to growing concerns about the impact of AI technology in undermining public trust through the spread of fake audio, video, and images.
The law also requires platforms to remove deceptive AI content when flagged and mandates clear disclosures if AI is used in political ads. Violators can face civil penalties, and courts can issue injunctions to halt the spread of such content. While supporters argue that this law is essential for protecting democracy and ensuring voters have accurate information, critics, including figures like Elon Musk, have raised concerns about the potential for this to infringe on free speech, especially regarding satirical or parody content.
This legislation comes as California prepares for what is being called the "first AI election," where AI-generated content could play a significant role in shaping public perception

It was actually long, long before then. The German govt failed the people much like the current government is failing.

Don't worry, Trump will be paying a lot more people for fake assassination attempts.
Only in a Kamala economy would people take up those "jobs"

You said "pretend", so you are claiming that I am pretending to not know the secret racist dog whistle language that apparently you know and the racists know?
Good point, you would have to admit that you were, at the very least, a former racist to be able to identify "dog whistles" that only racists can hear. Normal people just listen to the actual words.

2nd A doesn't mean a Republic of states no longer exists just because failed people like Hillary don't like Republics. Feel free to arm your fellow low-t males and pink haired cat ladies if you think the Republic needs to be abolished.

The internment camps for Japanese Americans during World War II varied in conditions, but many shared some common characteristics:
- Living Conditions: Most camps were located in remote areas and were hastily constructed. Families were housed in barracks made of wood with minimal insulation, often with little privacy. Walls did not extend to the ceiling, which meant sound carried easily between rooms.
- Amenities: Basic amenities were often lacking. There were communal bathrooms and showers, which compromised privacy. Many camps did have mess halls where food was served, but the quality and quantity varied.
- Health Care: Medical facilities were limited, and access to healthcare was often inadequate. Many internees faced challenges in receiving necessary medical attention.
- Employment: Internment camps sometimes offered work opportunities, but the jobs were typically low-paying and menial. Some internees participated in agricultural work, while others worked within the camp.
- Psychological Impact: The experience of internment had lasting psychological effects on many Japanese Americans, leading to feelings of shame, loss, and trauma.
- Community and Resilience: Despite the hardships, many internees created a sense of community, forming schools, sports teams, and cultural activities to maintain their identities and support each other.
Overall, the internment camps were far from adequate living situations, and the experience is remembered as a significant violation of civil rights in American history.

How many Trump supporters died in the last 7 years from political violence? I'm guessing more than the one example you have with Charlottesville.

Such a mechanism would itself need to be logically derived from the definition of "racist" and not simply an arbitrary assertion of algorithm.
I suppose I will have to see the movie "Am I A Racist" to know for sure.

Also, the word Nazi is massively over used.
I'd add that "dogwhistle" is massively overused. You don't need to be that over the top overt to gaslight people into what words mean.

The 2nd A isn't a tool for tyrants to eliminate their opponents. It's a tool to remove tyrants who attempt to assassinate their opponents.

Says who? If the people don't consent to being governed they can take matters into their own hands.
Killing JFK wasn't because he was a "tyrant"...there's arguably more justification for killing Lincoln for tyranny than either JFK or Trump. And Lincoln's assassin is no hero to anyone.

By that logic, Trump will inherit a booming economy again, and do the same as 2016. Nothing to worry about.
has her campaign focused hard enough on this issue? Did she miss a clear opportunity to talk about this at the debate?
I think it's more of the fault of moderators not pressing her to say the things that would secure her victory. When they asked her "what are you going to do to lower prices" they should have interrupted her into the 8th minute of her rehearsed speech about "not being a billionaire" and talk about something the voters could understand as a real plan. You can toss the softball, but even if she doesn't hit it, you should give her more chances if you really want Kamala to win.
