I'm not sure I agree with your interpretations of the Bible, but it's something for me to think on.

"If the bible contains contradictions, what's the point of following the bible?" - TheUnderdog

Sorry, for some reason I'm having trouble grasping a simple question, (Not Sarcasm)
Can you ask this in different words, explain what you mean by follow, what/why these contradictions would matter?

The Bible says a lot of things,

From my point of view,
Because it's written of many time periods, situations, languages,
By very many people.

Still, that doesn't mean to my mind that it's unworthy of trust, respect, guidance.

In my 'VERY shallow 'VERY uneducated view,
(Exodus 12:49, Exodus 22:21) and socialism(Luke 18:22).
Do not mean open borders or interculturism.
Exodus 12:49, "The same law applies both to the native-born and to the foreigner residing among you.”
Exodus 22:21, "21 Do not mistreat or oppress a foreigner, for you were foreigners in Egypt."
Those simply mean humane and just treatment, doesn't make foreigners citizens.
(Luke 18:22), "When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
Jesus was speaking to an individual rich man, not saying he ought take other's stuff and redistribute it.

'Could argue,
11It is just as the Scripture says: “Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.”e 12For there is no difference between Jew and Greek: The same Lord is Lord of all, and gives richly to all who call on Him, 13for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”f

But I'm not certain that's speaking of 'countries being the same country, so much as all being of equal share under God.

But again, Bible says a lot of things,

"Intermarriage Forbidden
23In those days I also saw Jews who had married women from Ashdod, Ammon, and Moab. 24Half of their children spoke the language of Ashdod or of the other peoples, but could not speak the language of Judah. 25I rebuked them and called down curses on them. I beat some of these men and pulled out their hair.
Then I made them take an oath before God and said, “You must not give your daughters in marriage to their sons or take their daughters as wives for your sons or for yourselves! 26Did not King Solomon of Israel sin in matters like this? There was not a king like him among many nations, and he was loved by his God, who made him king over all Israel—yet foreign women drew him into sin. 27Must we now hear that you too are doing all this terrible evil and acting unfaithfully against our God by marrying foreign women?”
28Even one of the sons of Jehoiada son of Eliashib the high priest had become a son-in-law to Sanballat the Horonite. Therefore I drove him away from me.
29Remember them, O my God, because they have defiled the priesthood and the covenant of the priesthood and of the Levites.
30Thus I purified the priests and Levites from everything foreign, and I assigned specific duties to each of the priests and Levites. 31I also arranged for contributions of wood at the appointed times, and for the firstfruits.
Remember me, O my God, with favor.

Justifying one's actions doesn't depend 'so much on the Bible to my mind,
As oneself, one's values, logic, and interpretation.
Nuance.
The Bibles just an additional whisper of wisdom, points of view, times past, situations that future might be.

But eh, even before being an Atheist, I'm a Nihilist,
Flaws in the Bible don't detract from much of it's history, game theory, art, and 'heart.
For I view the same in social standards, history books, politics, yada yada yada, I'm rambling.

Point I'm trying to make it the Bible can be referenced by many different ideals, even in opposite sides at times,
But that doesn't matter,
Even a rainy day, can find two different individuals reaching two different conclusions,
Still, it can be trusted that the day is raining.

Eh, I just don't agree with your logic.

A person may desperately want, desire, feel that something fact 'must not be,
And yet, only by denying their eyes, logic, reason, and rationale,
Can they deny the truth.

Personel Facts are a mix of senses, experiences, logic. (Edit, and Choice, I suppose.
Objective Facts are different, and unknowable, I suppose 'some might argue.)
'That much I'd be willing to admit,
But when people talk of 'feelings, the mind usually goes to no logic, the most basic and primitive unreasoning animals.

They're all bit tongue in cheek answers, I think, made part in fun.

Conan 'is focused on the individual,
But his view has more to do with being better than others, crushing others for one's own benefit/enjoyment, winning.

To overanalyze Conan though,
“The greatest happiness is to vanquish your enemies, to chase them before you, to rob them of their wealth, to see those dear to them bathed in tears, to clasp to your bosom their wives and daughters.” - Genghis Khan

Conan movie took place, aesthetically such, part of the movie, of Mongolia.

Conan's own family, tribe, were crushed, driven before Thulsa Doom, might have been some lamentations, I'd have to watch the scene.
Shortly before Conan was taken slave.

Conan blends in with groups, again warlike group he gave speech to.

Maybe he's become small minded, in the course of being a cage match animal.

Or large minded, but I like to think he's starts strong, primitive noble, and 'grows over the course of time.

I disagree,

All Muslims may follow the beloved Prophet Muhammed (pbuh), as the founder & sole ultimate authority of Islam.
And 'yet,
Different practices exist, different sects, different beliefs, different groups, different Islams,
'Seems to me.

I am trying to say that even claims people view as objective,
Become 'subjective through the human lens.
An elephant may be an elephant,
But the blind men's findings are subjective.
I'm trying to say,
Through perception and practice,
Through passing's of batons,
labels change.

National Rights and Human Rights, are not the same thing.

That word could be used instead of intellectually, I suppose.
Epistemological,
Relating to the theory of knowledge, especially with regard to its methods, validity, and scope, and the distinction between justified belief and opinion.

I think I exist, move, because I exist,
I a human exist,
My instincts, desires, psychological mechanisms exist,
Existence existed/Exist,
Material existed/Exist,
Natural laws existed/Exist,
And through time, chance, the right conditions,
Life on the planet Earth came to be,
Years and years and years passed,
Until complex organisms existed.

I suspect, but do not know,
That the practice of Islam,
Is 'different today, than in it's conception?

In the story, I am reminded of how people hark back to what they see as true or right by their traditions, founders.
Whether in Religion, Society, or Law.

"The founder's perspective supersedes all others." - Yassine#89

What you say 'does remind me of the Bible,
As well as American Law, regarding the Constitution,
People value origins, tradition,
But 'still, I think people, groups, change.
Below is the part of the Bible I am reminded of.

The Book of the Law Found
22 Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem thirty-one years. His mother’s name was Jedidah daughter of Adaiah; she was from Bozkath. 2 He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and followed completely the ways of his father David, not turning aside to the right or to the left.
3 In the eighteenth year of his reign, King Josiah sent the secretary, Shaphan son of Azaliah, the son of Meshullam, to the temple of the Lord. He said: 4 “Go up to Hilkiah the high priest and have him get ready the money that has been brought into the temple of the Lord, which the doorkeepers have collected from the people. 5 Have them entrust it to the men appointed to supervise the work on the temple. And have these men pay the workers who repair the temple of the Lord— 6 the carpenters, the builders and the masons. Also have them purchase timber and dressed stone to repair the temple. 7 But they need not account for the money entrusted to them, because they are honest in their dealings.”
8 Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the secretary, “I have found the Book of the Law in the temple of the Lord.” He gave it to Shaphan, who read it. 9 Then Shaphan the secretary went to the king and reported to him: “Your officials have paid out the money that was in the temple of the Lord and have entrusted it to the workers and supervisors at the temple.” 10 Then Shaphan the secretary informed the king, “Hilkiah the priest has given me a book.” And Shaphan read from it in the presence of the king.
11 When the king heard the words of the Book of the Law, he tore his robes. 12 He gave these orders to Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam son of Shaphan, Akbor son of Micaiah, Shaphan the secretary and Asaiah the king’s attendant: 13 “Go and inquire of the Lord for me and for the people and for all Judah about what is written in this book that has been found. Great is the Lord’s anger that burns against us because those who have gone before us have not obeyed the words of this book; they have not acted in accordance with all that is written there concerning us.”

Interesting point of view,
Though animals rape, kill, torture, for their own amusement.

You'd say their lack of cognitive function, Limited Consciousness/Free Will/Responsibility,
Frees them from evil?
As in a tree falling in the forest, yet none around to hear it?

Though, humans may speak of a mountain as an evil place,
If there are frequent deaths on it, accidents,
I think that's the word in another use, maybe.

I think,
Every practitioner 'is a Founder,
When they influence society around them,

'What a Religion 'is,
Changes with the people,
In my view,
Even with 'Science, one might take this view,
When individuals in past history spoke of Eastern or Western, science, medicine.
They spoke of different claims to knowledge, practices.
And in time, the claims to knowledge, practices, changed.

I believe that an American Citizen is an American Citizen,
I believe that someone 'not an American Citizen, is 'not an American Citizen.
Logically they possess different rights/abilities/privileges,
This does not mean that I think someone 'not an American Citizen, does not deserve rights/abilities/privileges.
It just changes what those rights/abilities/privileges 'are.
Similarly an American Citizen would have 'different rights/abilities/privileges, in 'another country.

I prefer to be an Atheist,
As well as a Nationalist.

Time and Distance are too far, for myself to recall 'exactly how I reached my current opinions.
Too many small steps, experiences, realizations, facts, built up, to recall easily.

As for 'all, it's enough that from my perspective and experiences, I see discrepancies, that lead me to doubt certain claims in various religions.

I consider myself intellectually a Nihilist, yes.
Though in practice, in my humanity, underpinning habits,
Still I move, care, work towards ends.

I know little of Islam, other than superficial generalities.

True, Muslims exist in more places than the Middle East.

Middle East has potential to rise,
And the West, to fall.
History, Culture, Power of many places on Earth, interesting to read.

I'd have to read more, to have a stronger opinion of 'claimed injustice.

I think it's difficult of Isms to stand apart from their practitioners,
If one speaks of a country, and it's practices, one speaks of generalities, percentages of 'more oftens,
A country of one generation, infrastructure, resources, is not the country of 'another generation, infrastructure, resources.
So the same,
Religion, or 'even individuals, if one separates their life into different pieces of time.

. . .

I think a country worth admiring by my own standards,
Would grant rights to individuals 'not of said country,
Human Rights/Privileges are valuable in my eyes, though artificial,
Due to the existence of empathy, logic.
That is not to say I think countries are wrong to prioritize their own people,
But to actively prey on, disregard any rights of 'other countries, comes off as monstrous.
Though,
As the world has 'shrunk, due to technology,
- eh, thought for a different conversation.

My beliefs are driven by public records, facts, science, accounts, observation, logic, reason, as well as personal experiences.
Also reasons underlying and forgotten.
Though putting all these driving reasons together into a convincing document, is difficult without time and great effort.
I can speak casually about it,
But my casual talk will not be convincing, I think.

Casually,
I don't see God/s, the supernatural, evidence of anything after, or come from the after.
I see writings corrupted by individuals, time, and space.
Facts and claims that don't 'all stand up with time.

Of my claim of life coming from material and chance,
Science has records of life forms time way back,
Geography of tectonic plates and continents movements,

Higher than Heaven, one finds space, and the void.
Deeper than Hell, a molten core.
Though I use the phrasings Heaven and Hell to speak of shallow pop culture understandings, as they relate to religion.

Of morality, my view is tied to Nihilism, Existentialism.
Though I've a 'VERY poor understanding of either, so I speak loosely.

I think of Islam as a religion which believes in the Abrahamic God,
,
The Religion is 'primarily in the Middle East, which I view as 'currently 'overall having less Infrastructure/Tech/Modernization, than the West.

If people speak of individuals being stoned, then I view this as due to location, culture, more than Islam itself.

Only requires different time period, culture shift, for the West to stone people, Whether for Religion or Atheism.
. . .
Islam has various sects, adherents, thus it's more valuable for me to judge it on individual persons and individual group basis.
Same as other religions, or atheisms.
. . .

My position is driven by Truth, Nationalism, Tradition, Honor.
I prefer my own nation, my own tribe, people,
But that's no reason to deny the value of other's ideas.
No reason to dismiss their humanity, or one's obligation to other life forms.

. . . . . . . . .

I believe that there is no god/s,
No afterlife,
That life arose out of material existences workings, habits, chance and opportunity.
I believe that morality is a subjective construct, but that we are wired with preferences, These preferences are hard to deny, and as a game of chess already invested in, may as well follow one's creed.

I'd like to live as long as I can, but am lazy,
Sometimes feel bad about not helping others, but I am self centered,
So, I'll try to love myself more than others,
Find what gives myself enjoyment, be it indulgence of the senses, or meaning external.
Thinking on the logic systems, games we humans have invented and be genetically,
Arguing logically or societally preferring what is best.

Still, perhaps I'll Suprise myself with altruism,
Or by the fact I have times past, perhaps I don't know myself.

I think my mind on Islam remains unchanged.

I suppose if I took the time every X amount of time,
To state my opinion on various subjects,
I could read it back, and see how my answers change over time,
But I don't and in the gradual process of my mind,
I often miss changes in it.

Of Islam though, I still don't know much,

I suppose some might argue that Consciousness is not a thing,
And fair enough there's argument and philosophy for said viewpoint,

Rather 'exist, than not.

Other organisms may enjoy their senses, situations,

Though when mistakes are made, or logic is not explained satisfactorily, prestige suffers.

I'd have to read more, to have a stronger opinion,
But sounds as if a many of those overdoses are suicidal in nature.

"Methods
We identified 93 consecutive patients, hospitalized for acetaminophen toxicity over a 52-month period from 1996 to 1999 in our urban county hospital. Retrospective case-control analysis was carried out using the data obtained from the medical records.
Results
Acetaminophen accounted for 7.5% of all cases of poisoning admitted during this period. Of the 93 patients, 80 were classified as suicidal and 13 had accidentally poisoned themselves in an attempt to relieve pain. The ratio of females to males was found to be 2:1. Of the 93 patients studied, 88 were admitted to the intensive care unit for initial 24–48 hours of monitoring. Peak acetaminophen levels were higher in the suicidal overdose group (mean 121.7 ± 97.0 mg/l vs 64.5 ± 61.8 mg/l, P < 0.05) than in the accidental group. In spite of this, peak aminotransferase levels >1000 IU/l were more often seen in the latter (39% vs 12%, P < 0.05). Hepatic coma and death were seen more often in the accidental overdose group (15% vs 0%, P < 0.05). Interestingly chronic alcohol abuse was also more frequent in the accidental overdose category (39% vs 18%, P = 0.05)."

'Certain types of pain medication are addictive,

But morphine not a regular painkiller anymore for everyday person.
Something like Tylenol is.

Though 'some people can get used to using Tylenol for 'every pain, and overuse it, causing toxicity,
think such is easily avoidable for most people.

. . .

There 'might be some issues regarding people with chronic pain,
And taking pain medication vs other methods,
But I don't know much about that.

. . .

Or if your thought is leading to the idea that pain medication is similar to recreational drugs,
Blocking out pain as acceptable,
Well, alcohol for example, often ends in too many adverse effects,
Thus people shun it as a socially acceptable pain solver,
Degrees of differences, make a difference.

Some I suppose,
My family just had faith in a just God,
And a different idea of Hell,
Still 'some people are. . .

As for 'why there are God debates,

I think some people are unsure of the truth, and wish to discuss the topic with others.
That they may air out their own thoughts, and see the thoughts of others.
Falling on either side of the fence.

Some people are Theists, who for whatever reason, make it their hobby/crusade, to convince others.
Perhaps they think their way of life is 'true.
Perhaps they think their way of life is 'good in practice.
Perhaps they want the community they live in to share their values.
Perhaps they read in their religions writings, that one 'ought speak of their religion to others.
Perhaps they think people will go to Hell if they 'don't believe. (NOT EVERYONE THINKS THAT WAY)

Some people are Anti-Theists, and have made it their hobby/crusade, to denounce and defame religion.
Perhaps they think their way of life is 'true.
Perhaps they think their way of life is 'good in practice.
Perhaps they want the community they live in to share their values.
Perhaps they read in their writings, that one 'ought speak of their Anti-Theism to others.
Perhaps they were offended or injured by religion, and now bear a grudge.

I'd think myself, that skeptical theism is a reasonable outlook,
One at 'least as old as Job.

Video was more as joke,

I've said what I've said, if we disagree, I don't know what more to say,
Or what more to consider from your viewpoint.
An impasse,
Least on my end.

@Polytheist-Witch
"According to the Islamic faith, Abraham (Arabic: إِبْرَاهِيْمُ, romanizedʾIbrāhīm"

"Abraham[a] (originally Abram)[b] is the common patriarch of the Abrahamic religions, including JudaismChristianity, and Islam"

The stories and depictions have differences, though.
That different Anti-Theists of different religions, might have different complaints.

Subjectively,
In how displeasing or impairing, it is.

Can ask other people on scale of 0 - 10,
Can include qualifying statements of describing a 1 or a 10,
That they don't say 10 for a cat scratch.
